Chapter 1:

Chapter 1

I Discovered My Club Members' Secret!

I was in complete disbelief at what I had just witnessed. The room suddenly illuminated with a bright white flash, and the air was filled with the echoes of magical incantations. I found refuge in the school closet, leaving the door slightly ajar.

To my surprise, I saw a group of five female students wearing their school uniforms and donning witches' hats. They were the ones from my school club of drama arts. While I was on my way to my family from dramatic performance tonight, I saw them on the school campus and wondered what they were hiding. They were acting a bit strange lately.

So I followed them to their room and snuck in there when they left. And that was when I was transferred here.

On a round wooden table, there were several spell books and a pentagon-shaped spell drawing. The room was adorned with bookshelves and chairs, but there was no sign of a teacher present to supervise them. The room was enveloped in silence, with a cool breeze gently brushing against my skin.

I couldn't help but wonder why these girls were on the school campus at night, forbidding anyone else from being there. It became clear to me that these girls were sorceresses. I had no clue as to what they were planning to do next, but I had a gut feeling that they were about to cast some spells. What kind of spells, you may ask? Well, there was as if it were one way to discover.

All I could hope for was that these girls were good witches. If that were the case, I would feel a sense of relief. However, I couldn't be certain of that, could I?

Suddenly, one of the girls spoke up, demanding the presence of a boy for a sacrifice. I couldn't help but gasp quietly, unable to believe what I had just heard. Did she really say they were going to sacrifice a boy? Was I hearing correctly?

At first, I wanted to deny the reality before me, clinging to the belief that all witches were on the side of good. But as I watched the boy being dragged towards the table, bound and gagged, my hopes were shattered. He trembled in fear as the witches loomed over him, desperately wanting to escape his dire situation but too paralyzed by fear to do so.

Now when I gazed at him, I remember who he was but couldn't remember his name. It was such ashame really, because I wanted to have his name memorized. Yet my mind still couldn't find his name.

"Prepare to be our sacrifice," one of the witches declared.

The boy struggled and attempted to resist, but a group of girls quickly overpowered him. It was at that moment that I needed to devise a plan to rescue him swiftly. However, I pondered on how to accomplish this without being discovered. When I was transferred in this world, I had no idea where I was and I bet my family was worried sick about me. I needed to get home quick. I couldn't imagine how they would react when I was no longer on school campus. That would've been devastating.

While scanning my surroundings, I heard one of the girls reciting an incantation. I continued to observe until one of them noticed me. Realizing it was too late to retreat, I stood my ground.

She cocked her head to the side and settled on her look on me. "Hmm?"

The other girls turned to her, and one inquired, "What's wrong? Did you see something?"

She then pointed towards me. "I have a feeling that someone is watching us from that closet over there."

The group shifted their attention towards me, their expressions mirroring suspicion. The girl with ponytails and a small stature smirked and suggested, "If that's the case, let's investigate and find out what's going on."

"Allow me to accompany you," a young woman with medium-sized breasts interjected.

The girl with ponytails turned to her. "Feel free to connect, fair guarantee you keep up."

"I won't slow you down, I guarantee."

"Good."

As a couple of the girls approached me, I frantically searched for something to use against them. The now dimly lit room, as it wasn't before for some strange reason, offered little help, so I cautiously felt around with my fingertips.

After a moment of struggle, I finally grasped something plastic. It felt weighty, and liquid sloshed within the container. Hmm?

I glanced down and noticed a sprayer in my hand. With a smirk, I turned my attention back to the approaching witches. Raising the sprayer slightly, I awaited their arrival at the door. Alright, Eric. Let's do this.

As soon as the door opened, the girl with ponytails began to speak, “We have a-”

Without hesitation, I sprayed the liquid at them and pushed them aside. The two witches screamed as they rubbed their eyes to rid themselves of the chemicals. The others stared at me, and one began to cast a spell in a language unfamiliar to me, one that seemed otherworldly.

As her hands gleamed green, a shining light was coordinated towards me. “Whoa!” I exclaimed, quickly ducking behind an adjacent work area.

The spell hit the wall instead, leaving a halo-like scorch mark. Smoke rose from the charred area, but surprisingly, no hole was created. That was a close call.

Turning my attention to the witches on either side, I witnessed the boy forcefully shoving them away, causing them to cry out in pain. He then surveyed his surroundings, flashing a smile at his adversaries before making a dash for the door.

“Quick, they're escaping! Stop him!” one of the witches shouted, snapping the others out of their shock.

Realizing the danger, I saw the witches preparing to cast their spells. It was time to make a swift exit before I ended up as their sacrificial offering.

As soon as their hands began to glow blue, the snowflake particles swirled around them, firing their magic spells at me and the boy. I swiftly scanned both directions and rolled over one of the desks in the opposite direction. The boy opened the door just in time to evade their magic spells.

Panting, I turned to where their spells had hit and noticed some ice holding the door ajar. This was my opportunity to escape this dreadful situation. As the witch with ponytails exited the classroom after the boy, I glanced back and saw the other witch turning towards me with a smirk on her face.

"Ha! It seems you're mine now," the other witch declared as I quickly rose from the floor.

Shifting my focus between the door and the other witch, I knew I had to flee as swiftly as possible. As I dashed towards the door, the other witch bellowed, "Oh, you won't escape from me! Just wait and see!"

Running for my life, I was on the verge of making my escape when the other witch approached me, flying towards me on her broomstick and preparing to cast the same spell. Fortunately, she missed her mark and exited just in time.

I was on the brink of a temporary reprieve, but it seemed the witches' pursuit was far from over. I was not eager to be captured and sacrificed. Not on my watch, not in this lifetime. Never.
