Chapter 8:

Chapter 8

Tokyo Junkie

“Whatever do you mean?”

“Don’t play dumb with me, you know exactly what I’m talking about.” He placed his hands in his pockets as he then approached her, “I get you lived in a different time period than I did, but what the hell makes you think it’s okay to decide my fate?” As Tokyo then stopped in front of Mary the other demons then bowed out of the room. Despite their size difference, Tokyo never actually felt intimidated by his mother.

“This is what’s best for you my love, not only you, but our people. Everyone will be expecting this of you.”

“Then tell them I’m sorry to disappoint them.”

“I don’t see why you detest this, Beijing is quite a beautiful and lovely girl. The two of you are more alike than you think.”

“So what?” He responded, “I’ve spent my life with Sashi since you abandoned me the moment my powers came into existence. Powers that I never wanted.”

“It’s not about what you want, nothing ever is. When you become older you’ll understand.”

“What is there to understand?”

“This was all your fathers doing, I’m just following through.”

“Save us both the trouble, and stop.”

“I can’t do that, you’re already in China now, you’re on track to meet her.”

“I can leave and walk right through a door to Japan and be with Sashi. There’s not a damn thing you can do to stop me.”

“Oh, sweet pea.” She bent over and placed her hand on his face, “The moment you step into Fengdu you’ll pick up her scent, and it’ll be the most irresistible thing you could ever imagine. Don’t stop what’s already been put into motion.”

“If you don’t want to lose a finger, I suggest you remove your hand from my face.”

“Is that any way to talk to your mother?”

“It is when she’s trying to make me live a life I don’t want. Especially when she doesn’t understand what someone else means to me.”

“It doesn’t matter what she means to you, she’s already accepted that this is the truth.” Mary said as she stood up and gave a soft chuckle, “You should’ve seen the look in her eyes.”

“What the hell did you do?”

“Only what was necessary.”

“You’ll pay.”

“Ha,” she laughed, “Try me.”

The air pressure in the temple started to shift with a dull wind picking up. Tokyo’s eye twitched as he

grit his teeth while he clenched his fists. He then screamed and the massive temple went up in a massive explosion. Mary and Tokyo flew through the air from the dust. Tokyo screamed as he opened his palm and conjured his massive Kunai. He then screamed as he swung his weapon, Mary chuckled as she summoned her own weapon and blocked. Her weapon was the blade of a guillotine which was held at the end of a chain. Since she was physically fighting the chain was straight and stiff almost like a handle. Tokyo grit his teeth before she screamed and pushed against her weapon with his.

Mary flew through the air before she bounced off a mountain back first. Tokyo closed the gap between them and swung his weapon once more causing the two to crash through the mountain. Mary chuckled as a soft grin spread across her face, “I’ve never once fought my son before! His speed and strength is exhilarating!” Tokyo screamed as he pushed her through the mountain more before it went up in an explosion. The two clashed blades several times before Mary chuckled and grabbed Tokyo around the neck. Tokyo grit his teeth and kicked Mary in the face as he back flipped to get away from her before he swung his weapon slashing her across the face.

The two clashed several times before Tokyo spiked Mary into the ground. When Mary landed she looked up to see Tokyo standing on a plateau above her. Tokyo clenched his fists before he then screamed causing the plateau to explode as he unleashed his power. Mary looked up at him with a smile. She had never once seen Tokyo use Bones of the Past and it made her absolutely excited. Tokyo then flew towards her at full speed as he struck her on the face with an explosive punch.

Mary flew backwards before she flipped and landed on her feet as she continued to slide backwards. Tokyo closed the gap between them as he punched her again, this time he punched downwards causing her to fall on her back. Tokyo delivered two heavy punches to her face before he shot her with a laser beam from his eyes. He went to punch her again when she thrust her palm into his chest and sent him flying. Tokyo crashed through several mountains before he hit a cliffside and rolled down a hill before finally landing in a small house. He groaned in pain as he rolled onto his stomach. “Oh my, this place is familiar.” Mary’s voice came.

Tokyo looked around as he took notice of his surroundings. It was the house where he had grown up, the house where he had raised Hanako on his own, and the same house where Hanako died. “It’s a lot gloomier and dustier than I remember.” Tokyo groaned as he got one of his feet beneath him so he could slowly stand up. He then turned to Mary as it began to rain. He screamed as he charged before he jumped to tackle her. Mary turned to a red dust as Tokyo crashed through the wall and rolled out into the mud.

Tokyo gasped heavily as he rolled onto his hands and knees as he struggled to breathe. He growled as he clenched his teeth. “You feel that?” Mary asked as she approached him, “Do you feel how heavy you are now?” Tokyo gasped as he began to lower himself to the ground, his multi-colored eye flicked becoming brown before being multi-colored again. “That’s your mortality sinking back into you, it’s a neat little trick I think. I’ve taken your blood from your mortal life and it’s now absorbing itself back into your body through each one of your little pores at a time.” Tokyo growled as his multi-colored eye then fully became brown and his teeth then became dull as his transformation then faded. It was then that Tokyo felt himself begin to age.

He clenched his fists before he screamed and threw a punch towards Mary. She grinned as he effortlessly reached out and grabbed hold of his fist. Tokyo’s eyes widened as he tried to pull away from Mary’s grasp. She then leaned into him with a toothy grin as she said, “Isn’t that just peachy?!” She then punched him in the face sending him flying a few miles away. Due to his newfound mortality Tokyo’s face had been completely crushed in with his blood, jumbled brain, and powered skull being held into a bubble on the back of his head made of a thin layer of skin. Mary then appeared in front of him as she held out her hand and flexed her fingers. The blood in Tokyo’s body then reshaped his face and completely regenerated everything that had been destroyed.

“Honestly, Nobuedo, how have we not scrapped before? The last person to give me this much excitement was your daddy.” She then gave a sinister grin as she said, “Maybe we should forget Beijing.” She then curled her middle and index fingers pulling him through the air before he landed face first in her chest. She wrapped her arms around him and said, “Marry me instead, if you remember your father, he’ll only be reborn through you. You’ll be completely erased from existence and I can have my husband back.” She then pulled on Tokyo’s hair back and looked him in the eyes, “Eh..” She said a bit disgusted, “Unlike your father you certainly don’t age well.” She then placed her hand on his chest and pushed him back into the mud. “However, you are your fathers son. You’ve been human again for only a few seconds, and yet, you’re still alive here in the Demon Realm.”

She smiled as she thought back, “That was his first great feat, he had captured a demon and found his way into the demon realm. He marched up to the palace where he then fought the original Demon King. He continued to fight him, and the Demon King used it as training. Once your father died, because of how much time he spent here, he was then reborn. It’s my favorite story about him.” She looked down at him and said, “I’m really doing this because I love you Tokyo, you know that right?”

“I don’t care…” Tokyo said as he very shakily got up. He wobbled a bit before he slowly walked over to Mary. She then knelt down and looked him in the eyes. “You don’t know-“

“Yes,” Mary said, “I don’t know what Sashi means to you. However, she’s just holding you back.” She then rubbed the top of his head before saying, “Let me fix this.” She held up her left hand to him and a small mirror formed in her palm. The mirror showed Sashi lying asleep in her bedroom. Mary then flexed her fingers on her other hand and began to slowly curl them into a fist. Inside the mirror Sashi tossed and turned before she groaned and clenched onto her chest. As Sashi then began to choke as she placed her hands on her neck Tokyo then reached out and grabbed onto Mary’s wrist.

Mary attempted to close her fist before she turned to Tokyo. He had clenched onto her wrist with such force that her hand refused to close, if anything it was now starting to open again. “What in the world are you doing?” Mary asked before Tokyo growled followed by a loud scream which caused a massive explosion of power. Mary flew backwards as Tokyo’s power began to rise. She looked down to her hand to notice the mirror she held was now brown. Tokyo threw his head back and screamed as the demon realm's colors became purple, then orange, and then finally yellow before returning to normal. The colors then flew into Tokyo’s left eye before he screamed, causing his skin to burst and the blood inside of him to spray everywhere before it evaporated. Mary looked on in awe as she saw Tokyo standing there in his former state.

Tokyo then flew towards her and plowed his fist into her stomach causing her to hunch over. He then kicked her in the shin causing to fall to one knee. He then struck her about the face and head several times before he grabbed the back of her hair and looked her into the eyes. “Do you think doing something like that is acceptable?!” Tokyo screamed before he rammed his kneecap into Mary’s face. “Allow me to show you what exactly Sashi means to me!” He then grabbed both sides of her head as his hands changed colors, “Bones of the Past! Time Stamp: 1516 to 1558!!!” Suddenly the two seemed to be warped to an all bright area. The souls of thousands of not millions of people who had all died rushed to Mary’s head.

Mary’s eyes widened as she began to hear each one of them scream in pain and agony. She saw each one of their lives from beginning to end all at once over and over again. Their voices, their names, their lives, and even her own. “No…!” Mary said as she tried to pull away from Tokyo’s grasp, “No…!” Tears came to her eyes as she looked around, “Phillip….! Mother…! Father…!” She then turned and looked Tokyo in the eyes, for some reason she felt Tokyo was getting larger and larger, and for the first time in her life she actually felt fear, “No…! No…!!!! LET GO OF ME YOU BASTARD!!!!”

Tokyo then placed one hand behind her head as he reeled his other fist back, “Bones of the Past! Bone Transplant! Time Stamp: 1516 to 1558!!!” He then delivered a heavy punch to Mary’s face causing her to fall onto her back. The voices of the dead continued to swarm her mind. Tokyo walked over to her before he knelt down and placed his fingers on her temple. “All of this, do you feel it? The moment my powers awakened I instantly felt everyone who had been dying from the American bombings of Japan, the Battle of Okinawa, the Atomic Blasts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it was at a much faster and more deafaning pace than what you’re experiencing now. This was shortly after you abandoned Hanako and I. I couldn’t make the voices stop, the pain, the fear. When Sashi found me she was able to make all of it go away.”

He then looked her in the eyes and gave her a cold and dead look, “She gave me a peace of mind, and if you do anything to her then I will come for you. I promise you that when I kill you, and I promise I will fucking kill you, you’re going to wish you had had never gotten in the way of Sashi and I.”

Mary growled before she screamed and held out her palm sending Tokyo flying with a massive pulse of energy. Tokyo had no clue where he was going but he crashed through several things. He felt as if he were racing around the universe. His body felt more and more pain before he eventually blacked out.

***********

Tokyo slowly woke up to the sound of water being rung out of a cloth and into a bowl. His eye lids felt heavy and he suddenly winced as he felt something cold and wet touch his forehead. “Don’t worry,” a female voice came, “You’re alright, you took quite a beating, but you’ll live.” He slowly opened his eyes to see a beautiful young woman sitting at his side. She stood up and walked across the room where she set something down on a dresser. “Don’t worry, you haven’t been out for long, and your friends are safe.”

“And you are…?” He groaned as he began to sit up,

“Ah! No!” She said as she raced over to him and gently laid him back down. This time Tokyo got a good look at her face. Her skin was pale and beautiful like the snow with darker than black hair. “Just rest!”

“I-“ Tokyo then paused as his nose became filled with an irresistible scent. “What’s that smell…?”

“I don’t really smell anything,” she responded, “Well, except for you.”

“What…?”

“Can I ask you something….?” She said as her face slowly started to turn red, “Are you, Tokyo by chance?” She tucked her hair behind her ear as she said, “I mean, your friend Fuma told me your name, but I still felt I needed to confirm it.”

“I am,” he responded, “You must be-“

“Yeah,” she said, “I’m Beijing, I’ve been dying to meet you, ever since my mom was told about you from your father all I’ve wanted to do is meet you.”

“Beijing…” Tokyo said with a sigh, “Listen, I-“ He then paused as he looked into her eyes. It was like Mary had said, Tokyo couldn’t seem to resist her, and he had no clue how to turn her away.

“Um, anyways, I hope that I can fight by your side when we figure out what’s going on around here.”

“Um…yeah,” Tokyo said as she stood up and walked over to the door.

“By the way,” she said as she turned around, “I’m a huge fan of yours. I think you’re so cool. I’ve even modeled my own fighting style after you,” Tokyo swallowed heavily as she smiled, “I figured, you’re somewhat like an Urban Ninja, at least when you fight and your weapons.” She then held up her hands and conjured her own weapon. It was a Shirasaya Katana, “So, I thought, maybe I could do a samurai thing or whatever.” She then put her weapon away as she waved to him, “I’ll see you around, okay?” She then left the room as Tokyo sighed and laid back into the pillow.

He groaned as he placed his hands on his eyes, “What am I gonna do…?!”

EXORCIST Base Beijing

Purge sat in the lab across from Peggy. He picked at his food in silence before he’d take a hit every now and then. “So tell me,” Peggy said, “What was your mother like?”

“Oh, uh,” Purge said as he cleared his throat, “She was very beautiful, and very sweet. Especially considering my father left before I was born.”

“Why was that?”

“I don’t know, my mother never told me about him. All I knew was that he was handsome and rather nice when they first met. However he became distant.”

“I see,”

“What was your husband like?”

“He was loyal and very kind. Like me he was also a scientist. We met at a debate, we were on opposing sides. We kept ripping each other a new one until, finally, he stumped me. After the debate we met and talked. We continued to hang out and eventually he proposed.”

“Sounds nice,” Purge responded, “Seems like a terrific guy.”

“He was,” she responded, “What about you? Are you married?”

“No, I’m not. I never have the time. Even if I did, I'm not sure if I want to.”

“That’s fine, relationships aren’t for everyone.” She then leaned back and looked him over, “So are you new to the organization?”

“Yes,” he said, “I’ve been here for about three years. I forced my way in, and eventually made my way up in the ranks.”

“And what ability were you given?”

“Holy Light,” he responded as he held up his hand and light began to shine from it, “My body is made out of it. I could take down several Yokai with one attack, and as such I was given the name Purge.”

“What was your name before that?”

“Kitori,” Purge responded, “Mafune Kitori.”

“Interesting,” she then smiled, “I wouldn’t go around screaming this from the rooftops, but you’ve actually already met your father.”

“What do you mean?”

“Your comrade, the one who came with you, Kusanagi I believe his name was?” Purge’s eyes widened as Peggy continued to talk, “He had a wife and son, however he had too great of a duty to EXORCIST and hunt down the Gashadokuro that his mother gave birth to.”

“Wait, what?! No! That can’t be true!”

“Your mother’s name was Hayase was it not?”

“It,” he grit his teeth as he looked down, “It was.” He then quickly reached across the table and grabbed her by the lab coat, “HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW THAT?!?!?!!!”

“Woah! Gentle! Down boy!” Peggy said as she pulled away from him, “It’s my job to keep record of all the ranking soldiers in EXORCIST, I give my research to them for combat purposes!”

“No,” he said to himself, “No, that can’t be true!”

“Want me to pull up his records?”

Purge went to speak but paused. He looked down before looking back at Peggy, “Show me.”

Fengdu Ghost City

The following morning Tokyo emerged from the house he was placed in. He rubbed the back of his neck as his nose began to twitch from sniffing the air. He looked around before he stopped and saw Beijing a few feet away. She had children gathered around her and she handed them each an item from a basket she was carrying. Tokyo’s heart sank as he inhaled sharply the moment Beijing made eye contact with him and waved. He quickly turned away only to see Nao looking at him with a smile. He gave a dull scream as he jumped back a bit.

Nao held her hands behind her back as she grinned, “So, now that we aren’t in Japan anymore, you’ve gone and fallen for someone other than Sashi?”

“N-No! That’s not it! It’s complicated!”

“Oh really? How so?”

“I don’t have feelings for Beijing, I don’t even know her, this was all set up by my mother and-“

“Oh? Beijing is her name?”

“Y-Yeah, why…?”

“Well, it’s kind of cute, and a little creative.”

“Creative?”

“Your name is Tokyo, Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. Her name is Beijing, and that’s the capital city of China.”

“Yeah, well…” Tokyo said as his face began to turn red, “B-Back in my day Japan and China hated each other!!”

“It’s okay if you like her, however, if Sashi finds out it’s more than likely she’ll kill you. She really loves you, ya know?”

“I love her too-“

“In fact, she loves you so much, that if you asked her to marry you she’d say yes.” Nao said as she started to walk away,

“Wait, how do you know that…?”

“Hm?” Nao then turned and looked at Tokyo, “Oh, ya know, girls do tend to talk.”

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going to check this place out!” Nao said as she took out her video camera, “I’ve never left Japan, and this would really boost the views on my channel! Care to join me?”

“Oh, uh, no. I need to speak with Blanca.”

“Alright, well, have fun, don’t do something you’ll regret!” Nao said with a wave before walking off.

“She’s nice,” Beijing said, Tokyo jumped before he turned to her, “Is she-“

“She’s my friend,” Tokyo responded, “She’s honestly one of the best friends I’ve had in a while.”

“That’s nice,” Beijing said with a smile, “So…um, would you like to go for a walk with me?”

“I really should talk to Blanca-“

“Oh, well, that’s alright. I just wanted to get to know you is all. Even if we don’t get married now, I’d still like to get to know you, just to know if we’re compatible.”

Tokyo paused to think. This might actually work, if Beijing sees how different they are then she’ll lose interest. “Yeah, sure.”

“Wait, yeah what?”

“Let’s go for a walk, where do you want to go?”

“Oh, is just down to the water fine?”

“Sure,” he said as he followed her lead.

“So, how old are you?” She asked,

“91, and you?”

“Oh, well…” She blushed as she rubbed the back of her neck, “I was actually born in the 16th century, although physically I’ve been told I look 15.”

“Yeah, I stopped aging at 15 as well.” He said before clearing his throat, “So, do you have any hobbies or anything you enjoy?”

“I like quite a few things actually,” Beijing said with a smile, “I really like to watch movies, and find out movie trivia. I also like to read manga, however they don’t have any that I can read here, so I read everything online. I don’t own any physical books though.”

“Do you have a favorite movie?”

“I really like the Lady Snowblood movies,” she said, “I like how strong she is. I tried to train myself similar to her, however it really didn’t help me much. So I did my own training.”

“Did you read the manga they’re based on?”

“They’re based on manga?!” She asked a bit surprised,

“Yeah,” he said with a smile, “They ran in the monthly playboy from 1972 to 1973. There’s only two volumes.”

“Woah, that’s so cool.”

“I actually own them,”

“Woah, really?! You’re so lucky!”

“Yeah, they were the first editions.” He chuckled softly, “My girlfriend wouldn’t let me keep the magazines and volumes around the temple, so I eventually ended up putting them in my Yokai Space.” He sighed, “However, Sashi did enjoy the movies.”

“You have a girlfriend….?” Beijing asked as she came to a stop. Tokyo then stopped and turned to her. From the look in her eyes Beijing seemed to be a bit broken hearted. He had no clue how much she liked him, but he couldn’t just tear her heart out.

“Uh…well,” he sighed, “We had a big fight recently, so I don’t know.”

“Oh, I see…” She said before she then said, “So what about you? Do you have a favorite manga? You seem to read it.”

“Oh, well…not really.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, well…I mean,” he sighed as he shrugged and rubbed the back of his head, “Shinobi no Kuni, Hanjuku Ninpouchou, Kaze no Senshi Dan and Basilisk are the ones I’d consider my favorites.”

“Woah, that’s quite a lot!”

“It’s only four, and they’re all ninja themed, which is pretty lame.”

“No, no, I think it’s cool.” She said with a smile, “I mean, I get it, just look at you, you’re all very ninja-y!”

“Yeah, I sort of took after it.” He said as he continued to walk with her to the water, “Up until I read those I didn’t exactly have a fighting style or any form of motif. I just used my overbearing strength to win all my fights. A simple push was enough to kill most people I fought, however when I fought a human I knew to hold back.”

“Why?”

“I just can’t kill one of them,” he said, “It’s probably because I was born human. My sister was born human as well. However, every time someone dies I feel it, and I didn’t want the process to speed up and cause me any pain.”

“What kind of pain?”

“My powers awakened when the US first bombed Japan in World War II, every bombing after that I felt every single bit of it. During the war I felt the death of the Japanese and Chinese people when Japan invaded China, and it only grew from there. All the death at once overloaded my senses…with them came auditory hallucinations, and then all the pain.”

“Sounds awful,” she said, “I’m sorry you had to go through that.”

“Every now and then I go through it again, although it’s not as great as it was during World War II.”

“Well, look on the bright side, you’re here now and you’re alive and safe.”

“I suppose that’s true.” He then looked to her and said, “So, tell me about your weapon. It’s a Katana right?”

“Yeah,” she said as she summoned it and held it in her hands, “It’s a Shirasaya. The blade is forged from a stone. Some blades can be forged from meteorites, this one was forged from the stone Sun Wukong was born from.”

“Sun Wukong is real?” He asked as he raised an eyebrow,

“Why wouldn’t he be? You and I are real, and we’re demons like him,” Beijing said as Tokyo looked around at the city. He watched the different demons and spirits walk around and talk with one another. It was a peaceful place much like the palace in Okinawa, however it was on a much larger scale. The two eventually came down to the water and looked out at the horizon. Beijing smiled before she stepped out in front of Tokyo and looked him in the eyes,

“So can I ask you something?”

“What’s up?”

“Would you like to spar with me?”

“Like…combat training?”

“Yeah,” she responded with a smile, “Haven’t you ever done that before?”

“Well, I trained with Zero for a moment of time. Everything else is self taught.”

“Ah, I see. Well, I don’t really want to train you, it’s just a friendly match to see how strong you are.”

“Oh, uh, sure.” He said,

“Cool!” She then turned and walked down the waterfront before she was at least ten feet away from him. He then turned and faced her as she pulled out her weapon. She held her blade out front of her before she lowered it to her side. Tokyo stood there completely still before he quickly flicked his hand through the air sending a kunai flying in Beijing’s direction.

Beijing gently pushed her blade open with her thumb before moving the exposed blade upwards. The kunai then split as it came into contact with the sword. Beijing pushed her blade forward as the kunai shot past the katana now completely split in two right up the middle. She then accelerated forward as she drew her blade. She swung it through the air as it made contact with Tokyo’s massive Kunai. Tokyo’s eyes widened as he felt himself be pushed back slightly. He clenched his teeth before the two broke away from each other.

Beijing swung her blade twice which Tokyo avoided by moving his head. He then performed a backhand swing with his weapon as she swung her blade once more. The two turned to blurs as they raced up and down the shoreline clashing with one another. Tokyo grasped his weapon firmly as he swung his weapon with such force that a slash flew through the air. Beijing dodged it and the slash flew into the sky and split the clouds apart. Beijing then accelerated as she then swung her blade with tremendous force towards Tokyo’s midsection. Tokyo quickly swung his weapon in a downwards circular motion to drive Beijing’s sword into the ground.

Beijing then quickly spun the opposite direction and went to slice the back of Tokyo’s neck. Tokyo quickly spun around and blocked the blade with his forearm. Beijing’s eyes widened to see the blade stuck in Tokyo’s arm about halfway. He clenched his teeth before he swung his arm around causing his hand to be sliced off. He held his stump up to her face which then shot out his regenerated fist not even a moment later. Beijing groaned as she flew backwards from being punched in the face.

She covered her mouth with her hand before she looked down at the blue blood on her hand. Blood dripped from her nose and into her mouth which was filled with a toothy grin. Her heart began to soar faster and faster. Her blood then ignited and turned to flames which engulfed her whole head revealing her skull beneath. The flames eating her head was a lovely blue color. Tokyo grinned as he grabbed the skin beneath his mandible and tore the flesh and muscle from his face causing his skull to be visible followed by a burst of silver flames. “So tell me, where did you master the Burning Blood Arts?” Tokyo asked,

“It’s much different than that,” Beijing responded, “My mother was a Yuki-onna. So if anything it’s Freezing Blood Art. Similar to when you breathe out in the cold. The blue color you’re seeing is actually my blue blood cells in a mist or vapor form. Although, your Burning Blood Art is quite interesting. I’ve never seen it in a silver color.”

“It’s because for the longest time it was red. However as I got stronger the heat became more intense it ultimately became an incredibly hot silver-white color.”

“Interesting,” Beijing said as she lowered her stance a bit as she readied her sword. The two accelerated towards one another before they each swung their weapons. As their blades collided they spun in opposite directions in a half circle where they swung their opposing legs at one another. When their heels collided they spin towards each other completing their circle as they each threw a punch. Their fists collided with a large boom which caused the dirt on the ground beneath them to shoot up into a large disc shape.

Tokyo pulled away from her before he swung his weapon upwards. Beijing winced as she stumbled to the side, now with the skin and some muscle of her left shoulder cut clean off. Beijing turned and swung her sword towards Tokyo, he dodged and swung his weapon over his head, slicing off her other shoulder. She then spun and kicked him in the chest putting distance between the two.

Tokyo looked over at Beijing as his shoulders slowly began to heal. She got into a fighting stance which then suddenly caused a massive blizzard to pick up around her. Tokyo chuckled as he screamed while activating Bones of the Past which caused the silver flames of his Burning Blood to erupt violently. The two then accelerated towards one another causing their respective elements to explode and form a ball. The two each gave a battle scream before Tokyo thrust his weapon towards her. Beijing tried to block with her hand but she only got her arm split up the middle. She then growled before she stuck her blade into Tokyo’s stomach before swinging it to the side cutting Tokyo nearly in half. As Tokyo gasped and hunched over Beijing quickly swung her sword upwards in a circular motion at a speed too fast for even Tokyo to see.

At that moment the ball of elements dispersed. The two of them each stood still before a line became visible on a bone segment of Tokyo’s neck. It lit up for a few seconds before Beijing was sent flying by a huge explosion of blood and bone marrow. Beijing rolled along the ground before she stabbed her weapon into the ground. She rubbed her eyes as she saw a giant mass rise into the sky. Her skipped a beat as Tokyo’s large foot then made contact with the ground making a loud ‘thoom’ noise. She looked up in awe as she saw the blood and marrow become a solid bone white color which made up Tokyo’s transformation.

Tokyo roared as he then reached down to grab Beijing. Beijing then lunged in between Tokyo’s fingers where she then dashed up his arm, before she then shot herself rather high into the air once she reached his shoulder. Tokyo looked above him before he leaned forward onto his hands and knees before firing several lasers from the segments making up his spine. Beijing spun through the air avoiding each one of the lasers before she placed her foot on one that came from his neck and ran down the length of it. She went to attack when Tokyo looked up at her. He stood up and opened his mouth as if he were going to swallow her, however Beijing landed on one of his teeth and dashed up his face and into his nose. A slash was heard followed by a snap.

Tokyo’s large skeletal frame began to peel apart before it went up in a massive explosion. Tokyo eventually opened his eyes only to see Beijing kneeling above him with her blade in his face seconds later. She panted heavily as sweat beaded from her face. “How did you…do that…?” He asked,

“It’s basic biology,” she panted, “Your lacrimal bone which is located between the middle of your eye sockets, is the weakest bone in your body next to your ethmoid and stapes. I have the exact same weakness.”

“Wow…” he said in awe, “You’re amazing…”

Beijing blushed before she then sat back on her knees, “Th-Thanks…”

“I love y-“ he then paused before he sighed and said, “I love your fighting style.”

“Yours is pretty impressive too considering you’re self taught.” Beijing responded with a smile.
