Act 1, Scene 1

INT. G.U.N. FACILITY – NIGHT

Throughout the halls of the facility, carnage lies in wake. Walls torn by gunfire. Men lying bruised and unconscious on the ground. Gunfire continues further along the trail.

In another part of the facility, G.U.N. soldiers endearingly try to hold off something trying to escape. Gun fire everywhere.

Machine gun fire comes from the escapee. G.U.N. soldiers go down one after another.

G.U.N. SOLDIER #1: This is section 3, we need backup! Repeat, we need-

G.U.N. Soldier #1 shot down.

RADIO: Trooper, do you copy? Troo-

SMASH A metal foot crushes the radio. Silence falls upon the room. The battle seems over.

FADE TO BLACK

EXT. G.U.N. FACILITY – DAWN

A tower facility with the G.U.N. logo painted on the side. A giant gaping hold gouging where the front entrance was.

Shadow returns to find this abnormally normal sight.

INT. G.U.N. FACILITY – DAWN

Shadow steps in and sees the carnage that decorates the ground floor. Soldiers lie across the ground. Holes carve everything. Electricity sparks across the ceiling. A massive battle has taken place.

Shadow notices the debris leads outside meaning something has escaped. Whatever it was, Shadow has no idea what it could be.

A G.U.N. soldier coughs himself awake. Shadow goes to the Soldier’s aid.

SHADOW: What happened?

G.U.N. Soldier #2 can barely keep himself awake.

G.U.N. SOLDIER #2: E-E-E… W-w-w-1…

Shadow’s eyes widen. Surely, the soldier couldn’t mean-

Shadow races through the facility. Surely what the soldier was saying couldn’t be what he fears.

INT. G.U.N. FACILITY, OMEGA’S REPAIR ROOM – DAWN

The same room from “Sonic Rush 3D” only with the door missing, the machine destroyed, and furniture decimated.

Shadow looks at the redecorated room concerned over what has happened. Over to the side of the room, Rouge lies lifeless on the ground.

Shadow hurries over to Rouge. He tries to wake her up.

SHADOW: Rouge. Rouge!

Rouge comes about as if she was knocked out.

SHADOW (CONT’D): What happened? What’s going on?

ROUGE: Omega… Online… Malfunction… Rampage… I don’t know… what… happened…

Shocked, Shadow does not believe what he is hearing. E-123, OMEGA, has gone Rouge.
