Chapter 6:

Bonus Chapter: A General Overview Of The Caspian Empire And The Start Of The Galactic Kingdoms

Convergence of the Three Empires

By: Dr. Alexandros Pious

Two thousand one hundred and forty-five years ago, humanity figured out the secrets of space. At first it was simply the origination of artificial gravity wells, which allowed the increased sustainability of potential space colonies. Then, over the next decades, terraforming techniques had been established then perfected. In just a few short years after, Mars was habitable to a degree. After which, Venus. Then, originally done for research purposes, Jupiter itself had a colony.

These colonies grew over time, eventually making colonies of their own in other systems. As for the Jupiter Colony, it grew to control the air that surrounded the planet. Eventually learning and mastering the art of flight, of air, of floatation mechanization. The harsh conditions on the atmosphere, as well as the heavy gravity also allowed their citizens, and their pilots specially to be able to withstand much more intense G-forces.

Millenia passed, after a series of wars with the colonies, the Solar System colonial cities collapsed to the point that the Sol system itself, the origin of humanity, disappeared from maps, never to be seen for hundreds of years.

After the collapse of the Sol system, the surviving colonial powers split apart from one another and reconsolidated themselves accordingly into the modern galactic kingdoms that they are today. Though the process took the majority of human history, a story that is still ongoing.

It is in these surviving colonies that the Caspian Empire took shape, it came from the remnants of the Jupiterian Colonies, and like its planetary ancestors, they started in a gigantic gas planet.

Yes, my dear readers, it may not be a surprise anymore but the planet of Caspian is a gas giant, though only about twice as large as Jupiter, it was still enough for it to train its people to withstand higher Gs naturally. Caspian cities are built inside the winds of the Gas Giant, allowing them to hide themselves inside the clouds in the event of an attack.

It was also the Caspians that originated the concept of a Ship-City. A ship so massive in scale that it could support a capacity of at least a million people. Most modern iterations of these ship cities also include large port and hangars so that it could release aircraft in the event of an attack or of an emergency.

The current reigning monarch of the Caspian Empire is Queen Elizabeth XIV of House Medea. She was deemed missing for several years, but was found in the wreckage of an escape pod from the SC Argo along with 3 other people, though only 2 of the people survived.

The rule of Queen Elizabeth XIV is marked by significant conquest, having captured the Lakwaeya System and acquiesced the Tri-Santorini Family Company, expanding further the territorial gains and overall influence of her empire.

Right now, the Caspian Empire held the most threatening army in the Galaxy, fielding thousands of Ship Cities and support units that can challenge any empire that dare goes against their will. Though even then, they find themselves slogged in the war for Concursus along with the Sakilo-Jawani and the Antediluvian Empires.

Only Jupiter Megalos would know the fate of the Empire, but even then, we hope that we are in his graces. May the winds that hold us together be fair, and may our flying be supreme. For we are the Caspian Empire, and from the planet we are born into the Galaxy, we shall reign supreme.
