Chapter 12:

Bonus Chapter: The Woes of the Sakilo-Jawani Empire

Convergence of the Three Empires

Found in the diary of Col. Karl Strauss

I weep! I weep for my Empire. Who if not for the wondrous achievements that our emperors have undertaken, would’ve fallen under the massive weight of its ego. I weep, I weep so solemnly for everything that has occurred to me then. The people I have lost, the families I have murdered, the forests I have burnt. I weep for them all.

And yet I am compelled to fight, to fight for my empire, an empire that cares about me. That does not see me as another number, another bloodstain in the wall of their history. I hope that that will remain forever. For my friends, my comrades, they all believe that they died for the sanctity of our holy empire.

Though our weapons of mass destruction are many, and our enemies are a lot more. We will not falter for our holy empire will prevail over them all. They exist only because we allow them to, and we will show them the wrath of our God should they lay one wrong finger in our crusade.

They are heretics! Enemies of the state, they are slave masters! They will feast upon our planets, our women and our children. They will murder all of us and drench our souls in sins of blood and agony. They do not even give their dead a proper burial. We are the only civilized nation in this galaxy.

I weep for my empire for it is alone, it is alone in its many enemies vying for control over the things that do not matter. Material wealth and its excess, when one should live in harmony with the galaxy, with the ground around it, with the God that has made us oh so beautiful. I weep for my empire, I weep for the empires that occupy our lonely galaxy.

They fight and they fight and they fight, they fight for what is little to no purpose. They fight for technology, for trade, for money. We fight for the sanctity of our galaxy, that in the end of our eternal crusade will we find salvation. We will save this rotting, festering corpse of a galaxy by any means necessary.

Our weapons are many, and so are our enemies. Yet our equals remain none. We are the holy Sakilo-Jawani Empire. And we will cleanse the galaxy off of its materialistic filth, we will cleanse it of heretics, of sinners, we will cleanse this galaxy in holy fire that will blind even God in the highest of heavens.

For it is our divine right to do so.
