Chapter 0:
Reverse World
It was midnight, and the high school classroom was pitch black with only a sliver of light from the moon that gave off some brightness. Without the students roaming around the campus, the atmosphere stayed silent. There was a sign near the door of the class that said “Class Camping for Room 1-A.”
In the middle of the classroom stood a student who had his eyes glued to the ceiling. He was towering over his lifeless classmates whose bodies seemed to pile all around him. The teacher's body was in the front of the classroom, but she wasn't moving as well.
“Hey,” the boy said while looking down and trembling. “Hey, ge-get up.”
The boy was only met with silence, an eerie silence that pierced his soul.
The sounds of sirens started wailing through the hallways as the classroom started to look like a party with the flashing of red and blue.
The boy started to panic but took a deep breath. If he explained everything, he knew that the police would be on his side. However, he didn't even know what happened himself.
Suddenly, a loud slam could be heard from a door that was somewhere within the building. The boy ran out of the room to search for the noise, but he couldn’t find the source. He ran through all of the hallways, but the noise never returned. As he walked out of the building, a bright light flashed onto his face.
“Hey, I need some help,” the boy said desperately as he put his hand over his eyes to cover the bright light flashing at his face.
“Put your hands on your head and get on the ground!” a loud voice yelled.
“Wa-wait,” the boy mumbled. “I need your help.”
The bright light turned off, and the boy could finally see what was in front of him. All the cops within the town had their guns pointed right at him. At this sight, the boy had tears rolling down his eyes as he knew what was happening.
“I didn’t do anything!” the boy yelled.
A forceful shove from behind him put him on the ground as handcuffs were placed over his hand.
“I said I didn’t do anything!” the boy yelled even louder as tears rolled down his eyes.
“We got word from another student that exited the school about the situation,” said the officer.
Was that the noise that I heard? thought the boy to himself.
As the sounds of the sirens echoed throughout the boy’s ears, he was wondering what would happen to his family.
