Chapter 7:

We made it to class, but it something strange happened like usual! We feel like someone's pulling the strings from behind the curtains, but we're not sure who?

Shin x Kyoko: "LOVE" is a bloody battlefield, but my Fangs are Sharper!

Oh here comes another new character, jeez Skorge37, you're really putting stress on your bestie Aliza. You know she has to draw all these new characters for free right? And she has to do them for free because you asked politely and she's your bestie.

Lighten her load dude, don't take advantage of her kindness! Well at least I'm starting to see somewhat of a story, hopefully you don't screw up things in the end like LAST TIME!

Let's get back into it!

The empty class was rattled by the sudden shout of the Vampiric Princess, the person she tried surprising however, didn't even flinch! Instead he opened his eyes slowly, and turned towards her.

"Kyoko why the hell are you shouting?" the boy said.

Kyoko felt kind of dumb after that failed attempt to scare him, like she felt really dumb after this.

Embarrassed, Kyoko tried recovering herself, "Shin!? What are you doing here? This is my class!"

Yes, the familiar boy was Shin. He was deep in thought, and was contemplating his situation with Ichika until a certain someone rudely interrupted. Shin looked kind of peeved, but deep down he was glad to see her. Kyoko pulled out the seat next him, and started settling herself down.

He answered back to her, "Oh looks like we have another class together huh? Is that really surprising to you at this point?"

Kyoko puffed out her cheeks at his snarky comment, she pointed at him and retorted, "N-No! I was just hoping you weren't going to be here!"

Shin chuckled lightly, "Haha, well you're going to be real happy when you see who's in the rest of your classes."

Kyoko's jaw slightly dropped, she said to him, "No way, you're kidding right? (Jackpot!)"

Shin laughed some more, "I wish I was kidding... (I'm not.)"

Kyoko realized that she can make a minigame out of this, and so she came up with a meaningless but deadly wager. A slick and mischievous smile streaked across her face, she then proposed to him saying, "Alright if that's the case, how about we make a game out of it?"

Shin became interested in this saying, he had the exact same thought, "Oh? I'm listening..."

Kyoko made an evil laugh while her eyes expressed an wicked glare, she then said to him,
"It's a simple game really, all you have to do is be early to class; whoever enters class last has to sit down with the winner! How does that sound?"

To most people, this sounds like a simple and stupid game. However, it was a crucial key to their huge ego and pride. Having to take an order from the other without objection was nothing but distasteful and unpleasant. It was a battle of pride and promptness, as well as a dire consequence for losing.

Shin was taken back from her proposal, but he was also very interested in it. He returned a grimacing smirk and said unto her, "Oh you're on Princess..."

For the time being, Kyoko and Shin both decided to get through the class sitting together. They continued on with the class and waited the clock down, class was very boring for them so they decided to just make small talk about certain things.

I don't feel like discussing their small talk so let's fast forward to the next class...

Kyoko and Shin took different routes to their next class so they could do their secret plotting without the others knowledge, after Kyoko was finished, she decided to make her way quickly to her next class. As she stood before the door, she took a deep breath and walked straight in. As she walked in, a familiar male voice called out to her suddenly.

"Hey Kyoko you lost! Come sit over here!"

Kyoko looked over and saw some loner Vampire with a stupid smile on his face waving at her in the back of the class, she hated that he got there before her because then she had to obey him. It was a blow to her vampiric pride, thus she reluctantly sat with him since she created the game.

"Stupid game! How did he get here so fast!?"

Shin began to tease her, "Ehe how does it feel Your Highness?"

Kyoko clenched her fist tight and it began to emit a reddish glow, "Shut up before I punch you..."

Let's go to the next class...

She now stood before the door of her 4th class, she couldn't feel his presence inside so she didn't know what to expect. She then discreetly placed her hand on the door, and in one fell swoop, she yanked the door open nearly breaking it off it's hinge.

She shouted into the class, "SHIN ARE YOU IN HERE YET!?"

There was only silence returned, Kyoko looked around and only saw a group of 4 students in the corner staring at her awkwardly. She exploded in major blush and excused herself to a seat furthest away from the group of kids.

"D-Damn it! Why did I do that!? I looked like a complete idiot!" Kyoko bitterly muttered to herself.

Kyoko then felt a faint presence standing outside of the door, she began reasoned in herself saying, "That must be Shin, he's probably trying to seal his presence so I wouldn't notice, but something feels off? Ah who cares, I'm going to get him this time!"

Soon the sliding door gently opened, and Kyoko jumped up from her seat clamoring, "HA! I BEAT YOU THIS TIME SHIN! NOW HURRY AND SIT OV--!"

Kyoko stopped abruptly mid sentence when she realized the figure standing at the door wasn't Shin, but somebody else. The person at the door was a suddenly small, frightened girl who took a step back after hearing Kyoko's shout. Kyoko then began to apologize profusely to her, "I-I'm sorry! I thought you were someone else!"

The girl at the door answered her back, "S-Shin..? Did you say Shin?"

Kyoko then realized this was the small petite girl from earlier that Shin was interested in, however Kyoko completely forgot her name. She decided to go along with whatever the girl said so she doesn't realize she forgot her name.

Kyoko responded, "Y-Yeah, I thought you were Shin. He's supposed to have this class too."

The girl's face started becoming a little red, and she became fidgety. Kyoko then perceived that she was acting strange for some reason, thus she concernedly asked, "Is there something wrong?"

The girl realized she was just standing awkwardly not saying anything, "O-Oh nothing's wrong! Nothing's wrong at all! I'm perfectly fine, I wasn't thinking about him at all!"

Kyoko raised her brow to her, "What?"

The name forgotten girl pressed her index fingers together, "N-Nothing! Forget I said anything!"

The small petite girl then she squinted her eyes at Kyoko, "Wait aren't you the girl that was with him earlier?"

Kyoko nodded her head, "Yes I'm her, we are quite close after all. (PLEASE DON'T KNOW MY NAME!)"

The girl then blatantly asked Kyoko, "Do you remember me?"

Kyoko shouted in herself, "DAMN IT!"

Kyoko's face became a little red after hearing this, she began to fumble on her words, "W-What? Of course I remember you! You're the girl that's friends with Haru right? How can I forget that haha!"

The girl then interrupted her saying, "No I'm asking if you remember my name?"

Kyoko began to make excuses, "W-Why of course I remember, do you think I forgot such an obvious name? I would be a fool if I forgot someone so important to Shin!"

The girls eyes glistened a bit, "Important..? He thinks I'm important?"

Kyoko saw an opening to evade to her question, she decided to take advantage of it instantly, "Well of course he thinks you're important! He couldn't stay in class knowing you were in the nurses office alone, so he skipped class and waited for you!"

The girls face became a little more red, she gripped the edge of her skirt and replied, "Are you also... important to him?"

Kyoko couldn't just tell her that she's supposed to marry Shin, so she decided to fabricate an elaborate lie on the very spot. Anyhow, she has no idea where the lie would lead to, so she had to be careful.

"Yeah I guess you can say that..? He's a close friend of mine. (His soon to be wife to be exact.)"

The girl then buried her face inside her hands, she was burning up all over. She replied back to Kyoko solemnly saying, "I feel so bad now..."

Kyoko nervously replied, "W-Why is that?"

The petite girl then realized she was awkwardly standing at the door still, and walked over and sat besides Kyoko.

The girl responded back saying, "I don't know anything about him, yet Haru tells me that he knows everything about me. I don't even know the names of his friends yet, I feel like such a terrible person for it."

Kyoko then became really interested at what she just said, Kyoko interrupted the girl and said, "Wait wait wait, did you just say that you don't remember my name? (Wait did she just say Haru told her everything?)"

She fidgeted some more, "Y-Yes..."

Kyoko took this opportunity to execute a 200 IQ strategy on her, in a confident but gentle tone she answered, "No need to worry about that! Let's just start over, how about we reintroduce ourselves? (THANK YOU LORD KUROAKAMI!)"

The girl replied back, "Are you sure..? Aren't you mad that I forgot?"

Kyoko shook her head profusely, "No not at all! Instead I'm glad we're able to talk like this! (And learn your name.)"

The small petite girl then introduced herself in a low and gentle tone, "O-Oh okay, I'll start then. My name is Ichika Miya, nice to meet you.."

A lightbulb went off in Kyoko's head, "OH HOW DID I FORGET THAT!?"

Kyoko reintroduced herself to Ichika, "And I'm Kyoko Shizuka Yuki, it's a pleasure to meet you too."

A short silence developed between them soon after the small and awkward introduction, it was soon after that Kyoko came up with a brilliant idea.

Kyoko smiled and asked Ichika discreetly with a wide smile, "Hey how would you like to become my servant? Shin isn't nearly as good as I am, I'll be sure to treat you right!"

Ichika's went into shock as she heard this, she adamantly shouted back saying, "No! What is wrong with you two!? Why do you want to make people servants so badly!? It's not right at all!"

Kyoko eyes widened while trying to shush her, "Hey hey keep your voice down, I didn't mean it like that. I just don't want Shin to hav---"

A loud bursting slam erupted at the door and startled them, Kyoko and Ichika both looked up and saw Shin standing at the door. However though, Shin was panting like a dog and had a serious look in his eye. He then pointed at Kyoko and called out to her saying, "Kyoko there you are! I got real bad ne--"

Shin then noticed Ichika sitting next to her, thus he held his silence. Ichika then perceived Shin standing there looking fiercely hot, and so was overwhelmed in blissfully complicated emotions. She became visibly shook, and her whole face was completely red.

Shin then shifted his gaze from Ichika to Kyoko, and continued his aforementioned statement, "You need to come with me quick, we're in trouble!"

Kyoko saw the look in his eye, and knew he wasn't kidding around. She then nodded at him, and arose from her seat. She quickly met up with Shin at the door, and ran out together leaving Ichika behind.

Ichika clutched her chest, she felt a small sharp pain poke her heart after the whole ordeal. She whispered to herself resentfully, "Did he... ignore me?"

Meanwhile, Shin and Kyoko made their way through the crowds of students. Kyoko had no idea what was going on, however she sensed Shin's unnerved emotions. As they moved through the crowds, Kyoko asked him, "What happened? Why did you pull me out for?"

Shin replied back to her saying, "There's too many people around, we need to go somewhere more quiet."

It was at this moment that Kyoko knew something bad was about to happen, she held her peace and quietly followed Shin. They were walking fast through people, even bumping others out of the way. After awhile, Shin took a sudden turn towards the staircase.

Shin stopped before the large staircase and said to her, "This leads to the roof, c'mon let's go!"

Both of them dashed up the staircase towards the large door at the top, Shin opened the door letting in rays of sunlight and they both exited out.

They both became a little overheated due to the blazing sun, so they quickly looked around for a place to shelter from it. They noticed that the school roof itself was massive and mostly empty aside from the few students in the distance that were also up there. It consisted of many small trees, benches, and even large coverings for students to congregate under.

The Vampires then sat under one of the covered areas away from the other students so one would hear what he would have to say. Kyoko being curious, then asked him, "Can you just tell me what's wrong? You pulled me out here for a reason right?"

Shin took a deep breathe and exhaled, he then reached inside his blazer and pulled out an envelope. Kyoko then looked at the envelope and identified a large red inked engraving on the back, she then felt a knot in her stomach, "N-No way... That insignia? Is that what I think it is..?"

Shin nodded his head slowly, and his eyes confirmed it's authenticity. He then proclaimed a chilling statement to her saying, "There's something big happening at this School, and it's not looking good for us."

Kyoko began to break out in a small sweat, she replied back, "Where did you even find this?"

Shin examined the strange envelope a little closer, "It was sitting on a desk towards the back of the classroom, I sensed residue malice and spotted it right after. When I picked it up, I saw our names on it and knew something was wrong. I thought you would take forever coming to class, so I ran out trying to find you."

Kyoko's face became vacant, "You could've just waited till I got there... (I don't take that long do I?)"

Shin gave a slightly embarrassed laugh while waving his hands, "D-Don't sweat the small details, all that matters is that I found you when I did. (Even though it took longer searching...)"

Kyoko then pointed at the strange unopened envelope, she asked him, "Well are you going to open it or not?"

Shin replied, "Yeah come over here, let's see what they gotta say to us."

Shin ripped the envelope open in one cut while Kyoko moved closer to him so she could read it too, Shin then pulled out a folded piece of old parchment. He unfolded it and held up so they could both see, the lettering were written in red and both Vampires examined it closely.

Chills began to run down their spines as they read the mysterious note, both vampires seemed quite perturbed as they continued to read the note. After they were done reading, Shin and Kyoko both gave each other urgent glares.

Shin quickly crumbled up the paper in his right hand, he gave Kyoko a swift glance and proclaimed to her, "Looks like we've been spotted."

At that same moment somewhere within the School...

Concurrently, there was a dark office room with 3 adults sitting inside. The office was adorned in paper thin silver strings, and all the strings met at the fingertips of a mysterious woman. The mysterious woman wore a black/gold theatre mask with a sad expression, she was sitting behind a large desk while playing with the thin metal strings attached to her fingers.

There was one other female, and a male both sitting on a couches opposite sides of each other with one small table in-between them. The two individuals wore separate masks themselves, the female wore a black/gold Anubis jackal mask, and the male wore a tattered old Ganesha mask.

The woman in the theatre mask opened and closed her hand manipulating the strings at her will, there was sudden vibrations within her strings and she read them. She then suddenly chuckled to herself and said to the others, "Hahaha it seems like our little fledglings are getting attention faster than we thought, it's only a matter of time before they figure out the truth."

The man in the Ganesha mask replied back, "Ha this is most exciting! I wonder what type of show they'll put on for us, hopefully one filled with ambition. Oh! And maybe a little power struggle too!"

The female in the Anubis mask answered back, "Should we make things more interesting and casts in bets too?"

The woman in the theatre mask made a low growl and tugged at the strings, the strings around the room all shifted, and the two people on the couch began choking slightly as she did this. The two people struggled for air, and desperately pulled the strings to relieve themselves of it's firm grasp.

She said to them, "Behave you two, those fledglings are still VIP's here. Besides we don't wanna upset the other little visitors in our midst."

She then diabolically announced a much more terrifying proclamation to the other two, "However though, I have another skit in mind that would be much more entertaining..."
