Knowing Part 2

I have arrived in the infirmary room. I saw Scott sitting in the bed with the infusion in his left arms. Also, I saw Axel, Christine, Joshua, and Veronica sitting beside Scott's hospital bed. Suddenly, I'd heard Scott retort stubbornly.

"I told you I'm fine!"

"No, no, and no! You'll ended up killing yourself later on! Just lay down for a couple days until the Doctor confirmed you're fully recovered!" Joshua replied assertively.

However, Scott replied stubbornly.

"Come on, man! The Doctor and the nurse already confirmed me I'm not infected, and I still can-"

However, Veronica cut his conversation short and replied with a sadistic stare that scared him.

"How about if I take off this infusion by force and kick your ass out of this bed, and let you walk to the hell by yourself with no help? How's about that?"

And then, Veronica reaching her left hand slowly toward his infusion in his left hand, as if she's about to pull out the infusion harshly.

"Wait, wait, wait! Are you out of your mind?" Scott said to her nervously, because he's afraid of Veronica's sadistic personality.

And then Veronica giggled sinisterly, stroking his chin gently, and replied with a sinister smile.

"How about if you bark for me, to prove you're such a good boy?"

"Uhhhh… please don't kill me…" He said in a whining, scared tone.

Hearing these conversations makes me curious more about Scott's condition. I approached them all and said.

"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, guys," And then Axel replied to me.

"Oh, Tsuyuki! You finally came,"

"Tsuyuki, you came here too?" Scott asked.

"Yes, I wanted to visit Scott too, just to checking his condition. Whether if it's getting better or worse," I answered.

"What do you mean by getting worse? It's getting better in each hour. Even the Doctor already confirmed me I'm fine and allowed to leave this infirmary room in the next day!" Scott replied to me.

What's with the fuss inside this infirmary room confused me. So I asked them.

"Could someone please explain what the hell is going on in here?" And then Veronica answered.

"In a nutshell, we're injecting him with the dope serum to cooling down his body previously to calm down the virus, and putting his body into the sleep. Because Scorching Virus is a type of virus, that'll ravaging your body instantly if you're nervous and panic whenever you're getting exposed with that virus. After we've arrived at this HQ, the medical teams taking him into the ICU room for an emergency treatment. However, when the medical teams try to checking the virus inside his body, it's all gone. As if he's free from any infection at all.,"

"Yeah, make sense of the dumbass like this. Letting his guard down is his first and last mistakes he's ever done," Joshua added while snapping Scott's right shoulder.

"What? Bro, come on! I'm 100% fine! I still can fight normally!" Scott replied stubbornly.

Suddenly, Joshua replied while pointing a fork toward Scott's face.

"A stubborn Authonoid like you deserve to die prematurely later on.,"

And then, Axel stood up from his chair and stopped the quarrel to prevent Joshua from harming Scott any further.

"Guys, guys, guys. Chill out, will you?" After that, Christine said to Scott.

"Scott, you still haven't fully recovered yet. Take a rest for another day, and don't force yourself too hard,"

"Ugh, fine…" Said Scott while crossing his arms, pouting, and looking the other way in frustration.

"If I may ask, have you ever been exposed to this virus before?" I asked Scott.

"What do you mean?" He asked again in confusion.

And then, I asked again by giving some context.

"What I mean is, have you ever exposed to this virus way before you're joined Minerva or converted into Authonoid?" After that, he explained.

"Oh, well… uhh... all I remember back in the day is, there's a large scale operation that forces us to fight against an enormous wave of Gorusian troops together with the controlled Infectoids. Unfortunately, I got wounded by one Infectoid, and I got exposed with this virus,"

"And then?" I asked again.

After that, he continued.

"My previous comrades died protecting me. I'm dying and lost in the middle of the war-torn city,"

"But luckily, the Minerva medical teams found me laying down on the back alley and quickly take me back into the HQ for an emergency treatment,"

"Although I was exposed to this virus and about to get infected. The medical teams during my emergency treatment didn't even found single virus cell inside my body. As if they're assuming this virus is hiding inside my body and remains undetected. As if this virus will sabotage my body immunity soon,"

After he's telling his experience, I made some explanation.

"It seems like this wasn't his first time getting exposed to this virus,"

"So. I assume that the virus is hiding inside his body and blending in together with his element. If I may ask you, did you guys know Onigashi?" I asked them all.

"Onigashi?" Everyone asked curiously.

"Oh! That white-haired bitch who's using a stupid Katana. Whenever I encounter her and almost beat her into pulp, she's ended up running like a little bitch," Said Veronica sardonically.

"What's wrong with that?" Scott asked curiously.

Afterwards, I exclaimed.

"This virus already infected Onigashi. Also, she had a strong physical element. If you combine your powerful element with the scorching virus, your element power will double the size, as long as you had a good immunity where you can tame the virus inside your body,"

"What Scott experienced is kind of similar, yet different from what Onigashi's experienced. Because Scott was lucky enough that he had a decent amount immunity where he can control the virus. While Onigashi's first time infection is instantly ravaging her body and made her condition dropped drastically. However, in each time, she's living together with the infection and tried so hard to holding the pain. So in conclusion, Scott is free from the infection is just a pure luck, while Onigashi's need lots of training to control the virus inside her body,"

"This might be my shitty theory that I've made before. Because, once you get exposed with this virus as this virus combined with your powerful element, you'll ended up bringing the apocalypse to this world,"

Everyone nodded in understanding after hearing my explanation. And then, Christine said.

"Sounds kinda reasonable. But, what I've ever found out is, an infected person wasn't infected because of a direct contact with this virus, but it was based on the hereditary infection. As if one of their grand family getting infected and they're living with it.,"

"And luckily, the hereditary infection that's inherited from their descendants wasn't that malicious like the first infected had," she continued.

Suddenly, Scott replied.

"Yeah, you're right. My grandfather was once an infected, because he used to work on the hazardous environment in the industry reactor. Unfortunately, he's got assassinated by the Cleanser Squadron during the Great Purge operation,"

"The Great Purge operation is an operation created by Cleanser Squadron 10 years ago to mowing down all forms of infection by any means, even if it's killing the innocent infected. Isn't that right?" I asked him.

"Absolutely!" He answered clearly.

"That makes me think the Cleanser Squadron is nothing but just a psychopathic mass murderer that's kept licking their pope's ass for their own divinity bullshits," I said with a bitter tone.

Suddenly, Christine replied.

"My mother is a part of Cleanser Squadron by the way," and then I asked her back.

"Does your mother ever join these operations?"

"Yes, absolutely. And she leaves no single regret at all killing these innocent infected. Because she thought it'll be better to end their suffering in here, but not in there, which means she wanted them to live happily in the afterlife," she continued.

Hearing the Cleanser Squadron action increases my skepticism as if they're justifying and glorifying all forms of killing for their "Good deeds," under their God's orders.

And then, Christine added.

"She knows it's completely wrong to kill these innocent infected. But she should never violate her duty as the part of Cleanser Squadron. Because she's very allegiant toward this squadron that she's thought this squadron was the part of her family,"

"Oh… I'm sorry for hearing that. I didn't know your mother is the one who killed my grandfather," Said Scott in a downed tone toward Christine.

And then she clarified.

"No, it's alright, this one is different. It was her comrades' doing. She's refused to do this mission, because she's had enough of killing innocent infected. Even she's lied toward her comrades that she had another duty that preventing her from joining the operation.,"

My curiosity about Cleanser Squadron reaching a peak level. I wanted to know more about this squadron. So I asked Christine again.

"Are there any Cleanser Squadron members you've recognized?"

"I have plenty, there's-"

Suddenly, Veronica interrupted our conversation and said.

"Guys, Commander Darrell is coming!"

Afterwards, Commander Darrell entered the infirmary room to visit Scott.

"Oh!" Said Axel while he saw Commander Darrell approaching all of us.

"Commander Darrell," said Joshua while nodding his head. And then, Commander Darrell replied.

"It's alright if you wanted to sit down back,"

"By the way, the Doctor had informed us that Scott is completely fit and allowed to continuing your duty in Red Cheetah squadron to take part in any mission,"

Hearing Commander Darrell's words about Scott's fit condition under the Doctor confirmation makes Scott excited until he's shouted while punching in the air in excitement.

"YOSSSHAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" And that makes us startled because of his excitement.

"MEIN GUTT, SIE VERDAMTEN SCHEISE!!!" Joshua shouted because Scott's excitement had startled him.

And then he punched Scott's right arms harshly.

"OUCH! That's fucking hurt, bro!" Scott replied to Joshua in frustration.

However, Joshua reprimanded him by pointing a finger at him.

"You scared me to death, and I swear that I'll kick your head into the toilet and make you eat your own shit after that!"

Suddenly, Commander Darrell, stomping the ground with his right feet harshly to prevent the quarrel between Joshua and Scott, went further.

"Joshua, Scott, if you wanted to have a quarrel, do it at the outside instead! Now, listen carefully!"

"Oh… sorry Commander,"

Joshua said in a conceding tone and looking down onto the floor in guilt. After the situation quietened down, Commander Darrell continued.

"Also, I've got a plenty information about her that Tsuyuki wanted to find out recently,"

"You mean, Onigashi?" I asked Commander Darrell.

"Yes," He answered as he nodded.

"Oh, that's a relief to know," I replied to myself. And then I continued by asking again.

"By the way, who gave you this information?"

"You can find the person in the next door infirmary room by yourself," he answered.

With no further ado, I walked out of this infirmary room on the way to meet the person in the next door infirmary room to find any information about Onigashi.

"Alright, I'm going now," I continued when I'm nearing the door and about to exit the infirmary room. However, Commander Darrell said to me before I exited from the infirmary room.

"Just a small reminder that the person you'll get the information on might not be reliable, as you would find it by yourself. So, it'll be better for you to do your own research after that.,"

I sighed, and I replied.

"I'm always doing everything on my own,"

"Sorry, I had to go. I'll see you guys soon," I continued when I'm opening the infirmary room door and on the way to meet up with the patient next door.

"Take care and be careful, leader," Christine said to me when I exited the room.

After that, I exited Scott's infirmary room and went into the next-door infirmary room to meet up with an important person there.
