Field Training Part 1

I'm looking at these 'top secret' files from Mr. Adipati's flash disk on my laptop. And it left me speechless, because it proved everything I used to believe back in the day was a lie here.

"Wait. How did he get these informations?" I asked myself anxiously while staring at my laptop monitor.

And then I continued searching several 'top secret' files from Mr. Adipati's flash disk.

"How is he still alive after he's risking his life in collecting these truths?" I asked myself worryingly.

Because I thought that he's still surviving from getting chased by the one who's guarding this 'top secret' information which contains the conspiracies the elites are hiding.

"Is this why Onigashi keeps chasing him?" I continued to myself.

"I must put this information into the safest place before anybody found out and purging this information,"

When my mind is glued to the 'top secret' files from Mr. Adipati's flash disk. My phone vibrates suddenly. I was startled and picked up the call.

"Who's this?" I asked.

Suddenly, Commander Katoki responded harshly, that caused me startled again.

"Tsuyuki! And where the hell are you right now? Don't you realize what time is it?"

My body frozen as he's reprimanded me a gazillion times for my indiscipline act for being the leader of the Black Vulture squadron, although I have tons of business that I have to take care of it in secrecy.

"Field training with Red Cheetah?" I asked back.

And then he continued in frustration.

"Stop sleeping lately and come to the briefing room quickly! If you're late again, I'll kick you out and identify you as a deserter instead!"

I sighed in frustration because I'm tired of being reprimanded by Commander Katoki 24/7 times, even though I did nothing wrong.

"As you wish, Commander,"

Afterwards, I hung up the call and tidying up the desk. When I'm grabbing Mr. Adipati's flash disk in my hand and inspecting it.

"I better hope no one saw this,"

I put Mr. Adipati's flash disk into the deepest part of the desk locker, where no one could find it. After that, I exited my dorm room and on the way to the briefing room.

1346 hours, 25 June 0145…

1 week has passed and nothing is changing at all, except where Scott has fully recovered and is allowed to partake in any mission. I, Axel, and Christine are sitting in this briefing room while waiting for the Commanders and the Red Cheetah squadron to enter this briefing room for a mission briefing.

"They told us to meet up in 1335 hours, but they're late for around 11 minutes," Said Axel while looking at this watch.

After a few seconds of waiting, Commander Katoki, Commander Darrell, and the rest of the Red Cheetah squadron arrived late. Afterwards, Commander Katoki said to us.

"Good afternoon, Black Vulture,"

The three of us quickly stood up from the chair and responded.

"Oh! Good afternoon, Commander!"

After that, the three of us sitting back from the chair.

"Sorry that we're late, because we're had some unfinished business with the Director," Said Commander Darrell whilst putting his files into the desk.

"It's alright, Commander Darrell," Axel replied.

"By the way, we have a good news and a bad news," said Commander Katoki.

And then, Commander Darrell added.

"Good news is, all of you are going to partake a field training together with Red Cheetah squadron,"

"Unfortunately, the bad news is, most of the operator that's used to guiding all of you during the mission will be busy in an urgent meeting. So, it'll be better that all of you must communicate with each other during the mission.,"

"Alright, I'm down for it," I replied to them.

And then, Commander Katoki explaining the mission.

"We will split this mission into 3 groups with each of 2 persons. For today, the mission is each of the groups has to hunt down the 3 powerful Infectoids in the abandoned sugar factory in the northernmost part of Harimal Forest of Monaka Island. Which comprises Taken-Ki, Kalbaroth, and Kotaro. They reported these 3 Infectoids killed 27 Authonoids, and it included which 6 of them are Minerva's Authonoid,"

And then Commander Katoki continued.

"So, the mission is simple. Each of the groups has to slay one Infectoid, to prevent all of you getting surrounded by these 3 Infectoids at the same time. And each of the groups must choose carefully which one Infectoid you're going to hunt on this mission,"

After that, we nodded and responded.

"Understood, Commander!"

"Good! Now, onto the group divisions," said Commander Darrell.

Furthermore, the three of us gather with the Red Cheetah squadron to create a group by dividing ourselves into 3 groups that consist of 2 persons.

7 minutes has passed and all of us have already got a group based on our role.

The groups consisted of:

1. Me and Joshua.

2. Axel and Scott.

3. Christine and Veronica.

Scott was excited about being grouped with Axel, because Axel is his closest bros.

"Yoshaaaahhh!!! I'm so lucky that I'm reunited with my good ol' bro, Axel!" He said in excitement by punching an air upward and jumping in a slight.

Axel giggled a little and replied.

"Me too. As long as you should never mess up the main objective of the mission.,"

"Aye aye, captain!" He said jocularly, while saluting.

Then, there's Christine and Veronica. However, it ended up in an awkward situation where Christine is afraid that Veronica will scold her brutally whenever she's made minor mistakes.

"Uhhh… Ma'am Veronica… I hope... I don't disappoint you…" she said nervously and stutteringly, looking at Veronica's sadistic smile.

And then, she approached Christine, slowly, stroking Christine's side hair gently, and said with a sadistic smile.

"It's alright if you're made single mistakes in the mission, sweetie. Unless if you made tons of mistake, I'll force you to bark like a dog and spank your ass until you're crying and begging for help,"

And then she followed with her psychotic laugh. Despite that, she responded by making a typical 8th grade syndrome move that caused Veronica to flinch in a slight.

"Ahem. Don't you dare mess with me, or else my divinocchi shalt bring thou misfortune!"

A second later, Veronica giggled and followed with a laugh. And then, she said while laughing and patting Christine's left shoulder.

"Hahahaha. Chill out, I'm just joking, hahahaha," she replied, jocularly.

And that's causing Christine to be frustrated because she's kept being teased by Veronica.

"Humph!"

She crossed her arms, looked the other way, and pouted. Because she disliked Veronica's sadistic attitude that keeps messing with her every time she's off the guard.

This time, I looked at Joshua with an awkward, sharp glare. I wanted to burst into some laughs when looking at his dead-serious face, because his dead-serious face is easy to be made fun of.

"What the hell are you looking at, dumbass?!" He said in a dead-serious tone when glaring at me.

"Your mom!" I replied to him, jocularly.

"I swear that I'm going to fucking kill you on the later mission!" He replied in a frustration.

After a few second on chit chatting with each other, Commander Katoki asked.

"Is everyone already got a group?"

"We've already had, commander," Axel replied while raising his right arm.

"Good. Now that all of you already got the group and understand the mission aim. And we proceeded all of you to the mission, dismissed," Said Commander Darrell.

After that, all of us were lining up and replying with jargon.

"Understood. Justice above everything!"

Without further ado, all of us left the briefing room and went to the hangar to depart to the abandoned factory in the northernmost part of Harimal Forest.

1419 hours, 25 June 0145…

1 hour has passed and all of us and we have arrived at the abandoned sugar factory in the northernmost part of Harimal Forest. The cloudy weather is covering the scorching sun, as if it's about to rain heavily.

The 6 of us gathered under the tree for a mission briefing and choosing which Infectoid that each of our group will hunt.

"Before we're about to starting the mission, we clarified that most of our operator won't be able to guiding us because they're all busy attending an urgent meeting. So, Commander Katoki ordered us to communicate with each other when something wrong happened during the mission.," Said Joshua to all of us.

"Got it!" me, Axel, and Scott responded by nodding.

"Alright, which Infectoids that each of us will hunt today?" Scott asked.

And then, Scott gave us a choice.

"There's Taken-Ki, the notorious big Android with a Greatsword, Kalbaroth the archer Android, and there's Kotaro, the Katana user Android.,"

Suddenly, I raised my hand and replied.

"How about if me and Joshua hunt down Taken-Ki?"

It surprised both Scott and Axel to hear my words about hunting down the strongest Infectoid between the bunches.

"EEEEEHHHH? Are you sure you can take that Infectoid out? Are you sure you're able to survive against that kind of Infectoid?" Scott asked in a surprise.

And then I replied with confidence.

"Yes, we're insist," I replied while nodded.

"By the way, Tsuyuki. Isn't it a little vague that you're fighting against the Tanker type Infectoid while you're the Attacker type Authonoids? Isn't it a little make sense for us as the Tanker Authonoids to fight against an enemy that's fitting with our role? So, it'll be a fair fight," said Scott.

And then he continued.

"And are you fine with that? Are you sure you can fight against that Infectoid? Don't you realize how strong Taken-Ki was? He's big, bulky as hell, and had a big ass Greatsword that can crush down your body into oblivion.,"

I'm getting irritated as hell listening to his fear-inducing preach technique to block me from achieving my goal. So I replied to him, straightforwardly.

"Higher risk means higher rewards. And if you no longer to take a chance that's existed in front of your eyes, you're no longer deserve to live longer,"

Suddenly, Veronica cut my arguments with Scott and said with frustration.

"Can't all of you guys just spit it out which Infectoid that all of you are going to hunt? We have no time left to waste.,"

Wasting no second, I straightened my standing position, looking at Veronica, and replied.

"Me and Joshua will hunt down Taken-Ki," I said while pointing Joshua in behind me with my left thumb.

And then Joshua agreed with my choice by nodding.

"Ok, anybody else?" Veronica asked again.

"Wait-" Said Scott nervously.

He was confused for a second as to which Infectoid he and Axel would hunt together. Suddenly, Axel said to Veronica while raising his right hand.

"Me and Scott will hunt down Kotaro,"

"Wait Axel, are you confident about that? Don't you realize Kotaro has a fast attacking move that can slash all of us in a split second with his Katana?" He asked worryingly to Axel.

"Role has never been the part of the problem when facing an enemy. The best way to fight against that Infectoid is a perfect timing to strike," He replied with a smile and raised his left eyebrow as "Trust me, we can do it," expression.

Scott sighed for a second and replied.

"Well… your call, Axel…"

"Ok. So, me and Christine will hunt down Kalbaroth," Said Veronica to all of us.

"Is everything fixed?" Veronica asked all of us.

And then Christine replied nervously.

"Y-yes Ma'am, everything is fixed,"

Christine acted like a shy girl around with unrecognized people. However, she will act like a middle school syndrome girl around with her closest friend. But that doesn't matter, because Christine will always be herself. And that's what I found interesting about her.

"Haha, no need to call us Sir or Ma'am. Ranking is nothing on the battlefield," Veronica replied while patting Christine's left shoulder, smiling.

"Alright everyone, shall we start the hunt?" I said to everyone else.

"Of course, time to kick some ass!" Scott replied.

After that, all of us walked through the grass field to enter the abandoned sugar factory.

In the middle of the walk, Axel poked Scott with a question.

"Admit it, you wanted to choose Taken-Ki because you have a slow reaction time. Isn't that right?" After that, Axel giggled in a slight.

"What? No! I'm just… screw it! Let's focus on the hunt instead!" He replied nervously.

All of us entered the abandoned sugar factory for a hunting mission to hunt down these 3 Infectoids. So the hunting order is:

1. Me, and Joshua will hunt down Taken-Ki.

2. Axel, and Scott will hunt down Kotaro.

3. Christine, and Veronica will hunt down Kalbaroth.

And the hunting has begun.
