KurtzPel: <Bringer of Chaos>
Of course, this did not mean it was safe from the watchful eye of Bellatos as Ellenore had nearly evaded subjugation the threat was still there as if a wolf was waiting for it's prey to let up it's guard.
Bridget closed the window, then looking at her children who were still unconscious. It has only been a night since they arrived and settled in their house. Geralt and Bridget knew this possibility would occur and because of this several homes were purchased across Erthesia for their safety.
Tears came once more as Bridget looked at her children who were also struggling to persevere.
"It hurts, doesn't it?"
Bridget turned to see Laura appear from the shadows.
"You have no idea."
"Every mother knows that feeling."
Laura sighed then crossing her arms as she leaned on the wall.
"Long ago, they were taken from me while I was on the field. My husband died protecting them. But with his dying breath he told me who took them."
"Bellatos, there were rumors about the existence of ParazPel in both The Chase and Bellatos. However, after being invited to witness the process of how they would be born was mortifying to behold."
"My daughter was already set to be experimented on along with my son. They knew that I was their mother and I knew they were testing my "faith" in their cause..."
Laura clenched her fist lightly then shaking it off as if an old memory was but a thorn in her side.
"However, it was then that I encountered the KurtzPel. Before they injected my children the windows shattered as two figures appeared and intervened where one quickly disposed of the scientists and freed the children where the other one went straight for us. Evading his blade I immediately rushed towards my children as the priests were cleaved in two and with bloodcurdling screams I only knew I had to save my children and run."
Bridget walked up to Laura, taking her hand as if comforting her.
"The other KurtzPel scoffed and scolded me, telling me I should've ran for my children before things got out of hand while the first scolded the boy then sheathing his blade."
Laura began to laugh a little as tears formed recalling the conversation.
"In the end, they agreed to safeguard my children and I joined their cause as an undercover agent."
"It was around the time you and Geralt had joined, I was privy to the intelligence team and noticed you had joined so I kept an on eye on you two."
Bridget smiled, she still had her friend after all this time.
"What about your children now? Where are they?"
"They're living here as citizens and enjoying their lives though they are still young I still check in with them as much as I can."
Laura sighed then walking up to Luke, placing her hand on his head then peering into his mind.
Luke was cradled in another person's arms, the figure was dressed for war though still had an air of dignity despite lowering herself to care for the child. The design of her battle armaments reflected much of the Valkyrie Warriors in legends and was complemented with a Azure Blue color scheme with a tint of Gold.
"Valeria, The Revenant Wing..."
Bridget was alarmed at this response but seeing the soft glow from her hand she then realized she could see her children.
"Wait, you can astral project yourself into others?"
"Only from a window, I can't enter without permission from the host. Otherwise, the possibility of the soul being damaged is high."
"Come with me Bridget, I think you need to see this."
Bridget nodded, then placing her hand on Laura's they began to enter Maria's mind. Entering the space they looked into her mind and they saw her sobbing into a young man's chest. The young man was dressed as a noble figure with Azure as the dominant color along with traces of silver. He just sat there letting the little girl release her emotions upon him and smiled.Bridget was sorrowful, she knew why Maria was distraught and she could only watch her suffering.
"Let's go Bridget, she'll need some time alone and we can trust this one with her."
"Who is he?"
"Charles, The Lightbringer..."
Releasing their connection, Laura and Bridget took a moment to reflect over what had just happened.
"For now, all we can do is wait and be aware of our surroundings."
"You're right, I'll continue giving them whatever is needed to recover physically though what about you?"
Laura stood up and opened a portal then turning to Bridget.
"I'll continue my work and check up on you whenever I can. Feel free to mingle with the people here as Bellatos doesn't have authority here, at least not publicly."
Bridget wiped her tears away as Laura then walked into the portal leaving her alone once more. Looking at her children, Bridget sighed and looked more resolute about the situation.
"What will become of them, I wonder..."
