Chapter 6:

Chapter 6 (A story told by a hermit)

Ankh Holder (Season 2)

Everyone in the temple stood still as he walked inside the Kyat Tha Ye Room. His face was harsh and full of fury. Everyone knew him by the name of Aizzagawna, but by his real name, ***** was he not known to them.

The monk bandits and the cyborgs looked terrified, whereas the two ghost-like robots showed no reactions. Aizzagawna walked around the room, watching all the damage Zeya had done. “These Wiezzas will never learn their lessons,” he whispered and turned around to his disciples. All his disciples covered their faces and tried not to make eye contact with him.

“Show me the details,” he said.

The female ghost-like robot emitted some beams from her eyes, forming a hologram. There, Aizzagawna could see Zeya’s attack from the robot’s point of view. The images were clear. He could rewind or pulse a scene by telling the robot to do so, just like a video.

Aizzagawna pulsed at the scene. It was where Zeya kicked the male robot’s chest. He zoomed in on the image of Zeya and noticed something that looked like a light ray coming from Zeya’s chest. He watched the scene again with wide-open eyes.

“Is this the…”

*Meanwhile, in the hall of Weizzas*

The old hermit grabbed a lamp and told Zeya to follow him.

“My Lord, can I follow you too?” Saw Nan Mon asked him. The hermit looked at her and said, “You won’t understand our talk. You shouldn’t follow us,” “As you said, my lord,” Saw Nan Mon replied.

The hermit then went to a dark corner of the hall. Zeya followed him. After walking in the darkness for a minute, they were at an office-like structure. There was a large table in the middle and many chairs. The hermit sat on a chair and said, “I’m sorry if my place is messy,”

“It’s alright, U(Mr),”

“You can call me, U Nyarna,”

“Ok, U Nyarna, Can you tell me why you brought me here?”

“It’s because of your power. You got that by touching an Ankh, right? Can you tell me exactly how you got to the Ankh?”

Zeya looked at the hermit, doubting he said, “ It’s so confusing to tell. I don’t know where to start,”

“It’s ok if your story contains about aliens. You can tell me. Don’t worry.

I know about space and Aliens’ existence. My boy, don’t underestimate a Weizza’s knowledge,” said the hermit.

Still, Zeya hesitated to tell his tale. His experience of being a spy kept his mouth shut to say these to an unknown stranger. The hermit stared at him with kind and pitiful eyes,

“Boy, by looking at your face, I can tell you have a shadow of sadness. The sense of sadness you had lost someone you loved. Losing a piece of your life, isn’t it painful?”

Zeya lowered his face. For sure, tears were in his eye. The memories of Lora, from the moment they first met to the moment she left the world, all appeared in his mind. He still thought Lora’s death was his fault. (You can check Lora and Zeya’s relationship in Season 1) Zeya tried to cover his tears, but the hermit had already noticed it.

“Well, let’s stop talking about your past. Let me tell you a tale if you don’t want to tell yours,” said the hermit.

“Long time ago, I mean 5341 years ago, in the delta region of the Nile, a group of people who claimed themselves to be Descendants of the Stars visited us. They had a strange appearance and were wiser than all of us. They united the different groups of people from that region and founded an empire. They taught our ancestors mathematics, geometry, astronomy, and most importantly, magic and immortality practices.

But, of course, nothing comes free. The star people took thousands of our ancestors as slaves to their world (Planet), Arun. This slavery lasted for hundreds of years until a man came to save our ancestors. Well, that’s for the next story. Now let’s get back to the Ankh.

The Ankh is the symbol of immortality and magic. With the aid of our ancestors, the star people created it as a weapon. They intended to give it to their king. But, conflicts among star peoples caused their fall. They left our world, and the Ankh became forgotten for thousands of years until now,”

Zeya had known some parts of the story from the inscriptions of pyramids. He knew the hermit wasn’t lying.

“So, you’ve found the ankh, right?”

“Of course, it is you. You are now its holder. You said you had touched it, right? After that, it had fused with you,” The hermit said. Zeya had some trust in this old hermit. So, he summarized and told the hermit about how he got to the planet gamma, how he became a spy and how he touched the Ankh. He had also informed him that his mutant was at the hand of Aizzagawna. When the hermit heard about the mutant, he was terrified. “Such dangerous mutant shouldn’t be at the hand of Aizzagawna. That’s so dangerous,” he said.

“Yes, my lord, how can we save the mutant? Why don’t Weizzas let Aizzagawna do such things without stopping him?” Zeya asked,

“I know you will ask that question. We did attack Aizzagawna’s base. But our magic was no match for his robots and science. The best we can do is to protect people from becoming one of his cyborgs,”

“Protect people from becoming one of his cyborgs? What does it mean, lord?”

“You might have seen the cyborgs when you went inside the temple,”

“Yes,”

“Those are actually…” The hermit stopped his words at once. His face looked terrified. “Did something bad happen?” Zeya asked him. I have a bad sense…” the hermit whispered. “Come,” he said and cast a spell. A big door appeared on the room’s wall.

The old hermit opened it and walked inside. Zeya followed him. At first, he felt darkness and then found himself on the road of Ava. It was nighttime. People were running like hell, and King’s soldiers were capturing strong people.

“What’s happening in Ava?”
