strange happenings

Blood Medallion

Syre had lost sense of time. It felt like ages had past. He struggled to move around.

Startled by the loud thuds around him, he felt a release of pressure on his back. He felt the walls around him collapsing as he fell onto the ground beneath him.

He gasped for air.

He surveilled his surroundings and only saw a path in front of him. Struggling to move, he desperately dragged himself forward to the ends of the path.

All he heard and saw was static. He felt the channels of his mind switch on and off. Screams of agony and torture rung through his mind as he reached the end.

Everything went black.

He opened his eyes once again and found himself facing the sky. Syre made sure to blink a couple times. His mind was blank from disbelief. He struggled to push his body up from the ground. A soreness struck throughout his body.

"What happened.." He mumbled to himself.

"You mean you don't remember?" Syre looked up. It was Riak. He gasped.

At that moment he gasped at the sharp pain in his chest. He looked down to see his body wrapped in cloth. He grabbed his face. The cloth that covered his face was gone.  He looked at the ground in shame.

"What's the deal, with covering your face anyways?" Riak questioned him noticing his disarray.

"Where I come from, we must cover our faces. It is religion."

"Hah. Its been a while since I heard that word." Riak laughed.

"Hell.. I don't think I've ever heard it once." Riak gives him a questionable look.

"That's a word only the privileged could use, did you come from one of those holy lands?" He looks at Syre, awaiting an answer.

Syre finally gets up.

"Where is my sword.." He mumbles as he searches around. He finds that there are other men laying about also, looking as if a battle had just took place.

"I have it right here." Riak puts his hand on Syre's shoulder as Syre turns around. Riak hands him his sword.

"Do you really not remember?" He asks once more.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Syre says
