Chapter 46:

Goodbye, Elisabella

Raifurori: My Legendary Weapon is a Loli With a Military Rifle!

As usual, all he saw when he opened his eyes was darkness. Ten years was enough time to adjust.

He spent about five minutes to remember where he was: the royal throne. He had been isolated in that room for some time, but he didn't know how long. He didn't have the precious girl to tell him what day it was.

Phillip Andrew ford Andeavor II rose from his throne and walked to the window.

He heard the knocking on the door, and ignored it again. It was probably his officers. He would only open the door when he heard the sweet sound of his daughter's voice: Elisabella Andeavor.

Although that one was a stranger, the king blindly trusted — in fact, a horrible joke — the young man who appeared during the trial of the Marquise Sophiette and introduced himself as ‘Saint of Heretics’.

How long had he stood next to a demon?

He felt horrible. How could a father not be able to discern his daughter from a monster?

The cold wind touched the man's face. He could not see, but he could hear the officers in the garden trying to get his attention. It was enough to ignore; after all, he was on the sixth floor of the castle.

“What an ugly thing.” A woman's voice echoed through the hall.

Inexplicably, the king felt a cold sweat trickle down his back. The voice also provoked revulsion. The words reverberated in an obscene manner and it sounded as if the owner was aroused. However, worst of all was knowing that he knew that lewd voice.

“We meet again, Phillip.” No doubt about it. That voice was from the damned demon.

“The Inferno's President…”

The scene that appeared in his mind was the first time he met the demon girl, ten years ago. She was saying things like: “We have a proposition for you, give us your daughter and we will stop attacking Andeavor.”

He remembered the black hair and the face hidden by a mask. The obscene voice was the same.

The king tried to attack the demon girl, but ended up losing his sight at that time. Instinctively, he moved his hand to his waist, where his luxurious sword was.

“Aren't we even going to talk? What a pity…”

Age and blindness were only details. The man shortened his distance with the girl in a matter of seconds, orienting himself by hearing. All that remained where he was seconds ago was his red cloak and crown.

The vertical stroke of the sword touched something hard and broke it in half. It was too solid to be the demon girl's body, it was probably the throne.

“Wow, that was close!” The voice came from the opposite side, very close to the window.

“I'm going to cut you!” The low scream echoed throughout the room.

The king's movements became rapid. The sword was swung in several directions, but the demon girl dodged every blow.

“What a rude man! I only came here to tell you that your daughter has been rescued.”

The king stopped the sword that would cut the girl in two.

“Yes, yes. Young Kurone Nakano has defeated Edward in an unexpected way. It's unbelievable, even though Edward made a pact with me he lost, what a shame, don't you think?"

“My daughter…”

The king was 1.91 meters tall and had a well-defined physique, a result of when he served in the guard. The girl was not quite 1.70. At that moment, the huge man was holding the luxurious sword at head height, and the girl was below him, staring at his bearded face. It was a fight, and yet the demon-girl was relaxed. At any moment she could become two symmetrical pieces of flesh.

“Your daughter has something I want. So this time, I will take it,” said the demon girl.

“NEVER!” Without a second thought, the king brought the sword to the ground, cracking the hall floor. The demon girl dodged.

“You don't understand. It's already been decided. Goodbye, Phillip.”

She was near the window; if the man didn't act soon, the demon girl would run away, but his body refused to move. It was heavy.

His legs were shaking and the giant man had to get down on his knees, leaning on the sword still stuck in the ground.

Where was the pain coming from?

The hall was silent, except for the sound of something pinging.

The sound seemed to come from his body...

It took a few minutes to realize... to realize the fact that he was dead. He brought his hand to his chest and felt the blood flowing. Something was missing there, something important: the heart.

The demon girl opened a hand-sized hole in the old king's chest. This was the end.

“Blergh!” Spitting blood, the man went down. “Eli... Elis... Elisabella…”

He would die without seeing his daughter. It was horrible to admit, but thanks to that demon, he would leave more carefree knowing that Elisabella was safe.

Everything was fine. Kurone Nakano, the Saint of Heretics, would protect her, after all, that young man was like him, he deduced that just from that brave voice.

“Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Your Majesty!” Someone forced their way into the room, but it was too late. At least the king wouldn't rot in that room until someone noticed the stench of the dead body.
