Memories of better days

  Shigaraki looked around him and saw a magnificent field of flowers, a path divided the field of flowers into two sides, the left side grew pink, yellow and red flowers while the right side grew white, purple and orange flowers. A few meters away was a shed which shigaraki assumed held all the gardening tools, he walked through the path and after he had past the shed, he saw a small village in a distance and that was when he recognized where he was, he was back at his home town in the land of grass. 

   Although he knew where he was, shigaraki couldn't help but feel that the place was kind of different from when he left but he knew that the village also used to look like this when he lived in it. With his curiosity guiding him, shigaraki made his way to the village and upon entering his heart stopped, he saw Aoi playing around with sue and more surprisingly, they were both kids again. He then looked down at his hands and from the size of them he realized that he took was also a kid. 

Aoi seeing him said while grinning "you're finally back lazy bones, I caught you sleeping on the field and decided to let you rest. You up for a round of tag," Shigaraki seeing Aoi ran up to him and gave him a tight hug with tears flowing out of his eyes "you okay dude, what's all this for" Aoi said with a smile on his face and shigaraki recomposing himself let go of Aoi and said while wiping his tears "nothing, I don't know what got into me."

  Aoi had bright red hair, green eyes and freckles on his face, he was friendly to everyone around him which made people confide in him and loon up to him and that was the quality that shigaraki lived the most about him. Shigaraki seeing his friend standing in front of him said to himself "maybe everything I've experienced up until now was just a horrible dream, Aoi is still here and we're still kids. Even if it turns out to be the other way round and everything here is a dream, I'm not sure I ever want to wake up" Aoi then interrupted Shigaraki' s inner monologue by saying "hey, it should be around lunch time, want to grab some food at my place." Shigaraki then grinned and said "yeah, let's do that as he followed Sue and Aoi into the sun set."

     Meanwhile in the real world, Shigaraki' s body has been completely enveloped in dark kantar and he is destroying everything in sight, Sue seeing this called for back up as Ralph and  Saiki came into the lab as they both said simultaneously "what's going on", Sue them said to them "no time to explain just help me to with strain him." Ralph them created sharp rods out of his bones which he used to pierce through the body of shigaraki, while Daiki activated his Byakugan and with great speed and precision blocked all of Shigaraki' s chakra points and by doing that, he made the dark chakra that was enveloping Shigaraki' s body to dissipate.  "now that's done, you mind telling us what that was just now" ralph asked and Sue responded by saying "Kan has gone into the shadow nexus in order to control his kantar powers more efficiently."  "hold up, you mean to tell me that our boss is in the shadow nexus right now, does he have a death wish" ralph said and sue responded by saying "our leader went into the shadow nexus in order to be able to establish a connection with it, i know that our boss will prevail and come back stronger." Daiki hearing all this  said "i hope you're right," Sue looking at Shigaraki' s unconscious body then said "i will keep this in a containment unit just to be safe."

   "the food your mom makes is delicious, i hate to say it but she's even better than my mom when it comes to cooking." shigaraki said as Aoi and him were walking on the streets of the village with no certain destination, "don't let your mom hear you say that or else we might have another cooking competition on our hands" Aoi said grinning, both of them then remembered what happened the last time Shigaraki said that, his mom challenged Aoi's mom to a cooking competition that lasted for weeks." They walked for a while until they reached a food stall, upon getting there  Aoi bought a lot of cooking ingredients and spices, "hey, what are those for" shigaraki asked and Aoi replied "what do you mean, they are cooking materials for my birthday tomorrow, don't tell me you forgot again dum dum" Aoi said while laughing and immediately a sea of memories flooded it's way into Shigaraki' s mind, he remembered holding Aoi's cake as they were singing a birthday song for him when all of a sudden he collapsed, when rushed to the doctor he diagnosed that Aoi had eaten something poisonous that was corroding his body away and that his body is keeping him in a coma in order for him to survive longer." Instinctively, he put his left hand in his left pocket and weaved one handed hand signs so that nobody will see him and when that was done, the bag that Aoi had used to keep all the cooking materials began to burn away and Aoi not being a ninja tried everything he could in order to prevent the items inside from burning, ultimately he failed but he didn't let it bother him as he said "well, there are still some ingredients in the house, i can use that to whip something up." Shigaraki hearing this was slightly better as he said to himself "what are the chances of somebody accidently poisoning themselves in their own kitchen", he then said out loud to Aoi "mind if I help you with whatever your cooking " as he wanted to be there so he could monitor the food at all times, Aoi hearing his friend's request said "thanks man, that would be really helpful." 

   Both of them then made their way back to Aoi's house and started to prepare tomorrow's snack in the kitchen, it was a long and exhausting task but after two hours they were done. Aoi dropped to the floor and said "oh my gosh that was harder than I thought," shigaraki also dropped to the floor saying "tell me about it" as both boys laid on the floor exhausted, especially shigaraki as he had spent most of the time using his sharingan to enhance his vision so he could be able to detect anything harmful much faster while at the same time placing a low level gen jutsu on Aoi so he wouldn't see the sharingan in his eyes. After they had rested for a bit Aoi said."so what you going to do now and shigaraki said with an exhausted voice "well, I'm gonna go home and take a well deserved nap." He then got up and said "see ya tomorrow then." 

 The next day rolled by pretty quickly, shigaraki had woken up early to do all of his chores and upon finishing them, he dragged his mom outside so they could start going, his mom was a blonde with emerald green eyes and freckles, she wore a brown straight dress and always wore a white cornet on her head. Upon seeing the enthusiasm of shigaraki she said  with a smile on her face "I haven't seen you this excited in a while, although I know that you and Aoi are close friends so if guess it's to be expected." 

  After they got to the house, they meet Aoi's parents preparing his birthday cake and upon seeing shigaraki and his mom Aoi's dad said "just in the nick of time, shigaraki would you mind holding the cake for us," he then gave shigaraki the cake and the mother on seeing Aoi come out from his bedroom gave the rest of them a sign to start singing and upon reaching the living room, Aoi found everyone singing a birthday song for him but disaster struck once again as Aoi collapsed on the ground and immediately everyone started panicking but as for shigaraki he was in shock as it had happened again even though he had actively tried to prevent it, he was in so much shock that it took a while for his brain to process it and when it did, he broke Into tears and dark kantar started sipping I to his body as he heard a voice say "yes, remember this despair that you fell now for it will be the only way to fuel your dark chakra and establish a strong connection to us," the scene then shifted to the horrendous events that haven't even happened yet, he saw his mother dead on the floor, her corpse filled with holes of a dagger and Sue dead beside her with the figure of a man standing above her corpse. Shigaraki seeing all this yelled stop!!!" As he grabbed his head and yelled, the shadow nexus then took a humanoid shape and said to him "remember all this pain and Inflict it upon your enemies, it then kept on showing him different horrendous images until shigaraki finally snapped and with black electricity in his arms, he stabbed through the shadow nexus "I told you to stop, I will do things on my own terms" he said in a dark voice, "he then removed his hand from the body of the shadow nexus's avatar as the shadow nexus in a weak voice said "yes, you are worthy of my power" the shadow nexus's avatar then degraded  into particles that merged itself with shigaraki,his eyes began to glow red and his dark chakra aura changed from black to purple and as he felt the surge of power entering his body he woke up in a containment unit and saw as the real Sue and the others were looking at him curiously as Sue said "are you really kan" shigaraki looking at their faces said "of course it's me, what happened while I was out " Sue them opened the containment unit and explained how he began to blindly attack things and after she had finished he said "the shadow force was trying to destroy me psychologically, but I managed to survive. Check on Kazui to see if he's done making the tracking device yet, it's finally time to make our dreams a reality" he said in a dark tone as he walked away leaving the rest of the group to wonder what had happened to their leader.
