Kaito had just started to adapt to life around the kingdom when one day, he was summoned by a royal soldier. The soldier brought an official order from the palace, asking him to immediately appear before King Lyod in the throne room. Kaito had no idea why he was being summoned, but he had no choice but to follow the order.

Kaito stood nervously in the grand throne room. King Lyod sat on his throne, surrounded by advisors and guards. The king's cold, authoritative gaze looked down on Kaito.
“What is your name, commoner?” asked King Lyod, his voice deep and full of authority.
“Kaito, Your Majesty,” Kaito replied, bowing his head slightly in an attempt to show respect, even though his heart was filled with anxiety.
King Lyod scrutinized Kaito with a sharp stare. “Kaito, do you know why you have been summoned here?”
Kaito slowly shook his head. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty, I don’t know.”
King Lyod sighed as if considering Kaito’s presence an inconvenience. “You are nothing but a commoner without status or official permission. Your presence in this royal area is intolerable. This is a sacred place for those with rank and honor.”
Kaito was taken aback, but he tried to remain calm. “Your Majesty, I do not intend to cause trouble. I simply arrived in this world without knowing how or why, and I’m trying to find a way to live here.”
King Lyod snorted, unimpressed. “Your intentions don’t matter, commoner. You do not belong here. If you wish to stay, prove yourself first with worthy accomplishments. If not, leave the royal grounds.”
At that moment, Rena accidentally overheard the conversation from outside the throne room. Her heart was immediately stirred. She couldn’t let Kaito be dismissed so easily. With sudden courage, she pushed open the door and entered the room, walking quickly toward the throne.
“Your Majesty!” she called out, startling everyone in the room, especially King Lyod.
The king glared at Rena with fury. “Rena, what are you doing here? How dare you interrupt the royal audience!”
Rena stood firm, even though her heart raced. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty. I know Kaito is just a commoner, but he’s a good person. He’s not dangerous and only wishes to find a place for himself here.”
King Lyod furrowed his brow, looking even more displeased. “Don’t forget, you are also a commoner, Rena. You are allowed to be here because of the guarantee from an old noble. Don’t complicate your position by defending someone of no consequence.”
Rena swallowed hard but remained determined. “Your Majesty, Kaito just wants to prove himself. He’s not a bad person and has no ill intentions.”
King Lyod chuckled mockingly, his laughter dripping with sarcasm. “If you wish to defend this commoner, then you must leave the kingdom with him.”
Rena went silent, her face pale. Tears began to well up in her eyes, but she knew she had no power or status to defy the king’s decree. With a near whisper, she could only say, “I’m sorry, Your Majesty…”
Kaito saw Rena finally give in and felt guilty. Seeing Rena so helpless, he stepped forward, meeting King Lyod’s gaze. “Your Majesty, if this is your decision, I will leave. But one day, I will return as someone stronger and more significant,” Kaito said firmly.
King Lyod snorted in contempt. “Go. This world does not need those who have no value.”
Kaito bowed respectfully and stepped out of the throne room. His gaze met Rena’s, who looked utterly defeated, and with a small nod, he signaled that everything would be fine. He knew this wasn’t the end, but rather the beginning of a new journey.
(Adventurer Guild: The First Step to Gaining Strength)
After leaving the royal grounds, Kaito realized that in order to return, he needed to prove himself through achievements and power. He decided to join the adventurer’s guild, a place where adventurers gathered to complete missions and strengthen themselves.
The adventurer’s guild was bustling with various kinds of adventurers, from soldiers to talented mages. Kaito registered as a new member and received his first mission, a simple task that he completed with ease. Over time, he began to draw the attention of the guildmaster due to his rare black and white magic abilities, which were uncommon among typical adventurers.
“With abilities like yours, you have great potential in this guild,” the guildmaster said in admiration. Those words boosted Kaito’s confidence, and he became eager to pursue his path in the guild, determined to become a respected adventurer.

Though busy with missions from the guild, Kaito occasionally visited the area near the noble school just to check on Rena’s situation. He knew life at the elite school wasn’t easy for Rena, especially with Princess Livia constantly eyeing her with hatred and jealousy.
Every time Kaito saw Prince Alex accompanying Rena, he felt a little relieved. However, his worries resurfaced when he noticed Livia scheming to harm Rena. In his heart, Kaito swore that he would become stronger to protect Rena from harm, especially from those who meant her ill.

Through the adventurer guild, Kaito honed his black and white magic skills even further. Every mission he completed gave him experience and increased his power. He was determined to gain enough achievements and status to one day return to the kingdom and protect those he cared about.
In his heart, Kaito swore that one day he would return as someone stronger, someone who could prove to King Lyod and to the world that, though a commoner, he had true worth and power.
