The Geminus Twins

In a quiet house in the area of Stetchford, from the city of Beormingahām, a man by the name of Mikhail Geminus sits at the table with a glass of whiskey. A former soldier who had served in the army for 10 years who always had that belief that honour will blind you if you give it your deep commitment.

The house appeared saturated in its design with the house having weapons, cleverly hidden across the house. There were also infrared scanners and handcrafted machine traps for any intruder planning to steal anything with the software used not looking familiar to any brands that tech companies offer to customers.

Mikhail looks out the window, seeing his son Grant, sitting outside the garden. The garden appeared not like any garden as the soil that was once there had long been replaced, with what Grant was sitting on being gravel, giving the whole garden a military training environment. Grant stares at the sky, watching as the clouds goes by.

Mikhail hastily grabbed a combat knife from under the table and opened his window, throwing the knife at Grant's direction at immense speed.

With quick reflects, Grant catches the knife, shockingly not recieving a cut or show a glimpse of blood, coming from his hand.

He turns his head around and looks at his father, saying "Nice effort pops."

Mikhail chuckles a little, responding "It's important to check whether you have been slacking off." Grant and Mikhail stare at each other intensley but both break into laughter. Mikhail calms down, asking "Hey, I'm going out to get some more booze, you want anything?"

Grant answered "No, I'm good." Mikhail is about to close the window door but Grant says "And pops, be careful."

Mikhail smiles, answering "I'm always careful." Mikhail closes the door and leaves from Grant's view.

Grant smiles at his father but as he left, his smile fades away, showing him looking worried. He placed the knife beside him, shoving it deep into the ground and continues staring at the sky.

Unknown to him, someone sneaks into the garden, their face not visible due to wearing a mask, as they cautiously approach Grant with their fist readied. He is about to attack but Grant grabs the intruder by their upper arm and throws them forward.

The intruder hastily recovers while Grant grabs the knife from before and performs a kip-up. Together, they move in a circle, both staring at each other with intense stares, with Grant moving in a calm and collective pace, while flipping the knife and the intruder moved cautiously as they moved their upper body left and right.

Grant hands the combat knife to the intruder, catching them off guard, as he jumped and kicked them to the ground. The intruder tries to get up but Grant grabs them but their arm and places them on a submission lock.

"Say it!" Said Grant.

The intruder responds "Never!" And frees themselves from Grant's submission lock and get up.

They proceed to fight prolongedly until Grant manages to trip the intruder and kicking the knife into the air, he grabs it and holds it at the intruders neck.

"Had enough?" Asked Grant.

The intruder answers "Yeah, I've had enough." Grant lets go of the intruder as they take off their mask, revealing themselves to be Liam Geminus, Grant's half-twin brother. "You realise you won, just by cheating?"

"I didn't cheat." Grant responded "I managed to beat you with my training."

"Yeah and a knife!" Said Liam.

"Say whatever you like, what brings you here?" Asked Grant. He opens his jacket and sheaths his combat knife on his small scabbard that he has hidden in his pocket.

"I got an offer from this guy called Jason who wants to enlist our help with him on something important, as he states it." Answered Liam.

Grant asks "What did you say?"

Liam answered "I told them that we'll give them an answer soon."

Knowing his half-twin brother, Grant says "And by soon, you mean-"

"Tommorow, yes." Said Liam, finishing Grant's sentence.

Grant sighs, deeply annoyed. He asks "What do we have to do?"

Liam answers "He said that we'll meet him and few others that he has hired for this mission at the ChumZ restaurant, in two days."

"Then we best get ready, who knows what plans he's hatching." Said Grant, acting skeptical. "Want a grab a bite?"

"Sure." Answered Liam.

"But you're paying." Said Grant Liam sighs, disappointed by this.

Both Liam and Grant went inside the house and closed the door to the garden.
