Chapter 1:
Faultlines
With the discarded technology, Muskian starts to blow some places in Empyra, giving terror among the city and attacking innocent citizen.
They're stopped by Chris, the commander of the Vortex Corps. Muskian army who led by Varek forced to retreat to Musk and strengthen their force
Not long after the Muskian Forces fallback, suddenly there was a huge explosion in the middle city of Empyra where the statue of Council of Empyra placed
BOOOOM
"HAHAHA, THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!"
Chris saw a boy flying through that explosion of colored smokes slowly going down into the Musk after what he did
"How's the statue?" ask Chris to one of his army
"It's fine sir, it's just--"
Before the army finished what he said, Chris saw the statue is full of bunch of paint, he was confused for a moment then he told his man to find the identity of the kid
"Go find the Identity of the kid right now!"
"Yes sir!"
In the Musk
Kael, the boy who just explode the paint bomb on the statue of the council succeed to get back to Musk and going back to his house which is his workshop. With his intelligence and his creativity, Kael made all of his gear from the junk he found around the city and steal or buy Kran as the main energy of his gear,
Kael wiped the sweat from his brow as he mixed the Kran essence, his eyes gleaming with excitement. This was the next step—the real game changer. He had already seen the power that Kran held, and now he was shaping it into something more than just bombs and pranks. He called it Vexalis—a new creation. The Kran was the key, but the right hands could turn it into an unstoppable force.
He added another vial of swirling, glowing liquid, watching as it pulsed with energy. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he tested the potency of the first small Kran device he had crafted. The Kran essence began to hum louder, vibrating through the room.
“That should do it,” Kael muttered, leaning back to admire his work. His thoughts drifted to the explosion at Empyra. The paint bomb had been a perfect diversion, but he wasn’t about to stop there. This was only the beginning.
Just as he took a step back to prepare for another experiment, he heard footsteps behind him. He whipped around, knife in hand, but lowered it when he saw who it was.
A boy with a metal arm—a sleek, advanced robotic prosthetic that gleamed under the dim light of the workshop. His name was Jorik, and despite his imposing appearance, Kael knew him as someone who had been following his exploits around Musk.
“Nice work with the statue,” Jorik said calmly, his voice steady. “That was a good way to send a message.”
Kael smirked. “You think? I had a blast.”
Jorik’s eyes glanced over Kael’s workbench, scanning the various discarded tech parts and glowing vials. “But I can tell you’re planning something bigger.”
“You could say that,” Kael replied, eyes narrowing. “I’ve been working on something—a new weapon, a new way to fight back.”
Jorik raised an eyebrow. “I know about the Kran. And I’ve seen what you can do with it. But you’re not thinking big enough.”
Kael tilted his head, intrigued. “What do you mean?”
“That’s where I come in,” Jorik said, stepping further into the workshop. “You see, Kran isn’t just for making explosives. With the right mind and technology, it can be turned into something more.” He glanced down at his robotic arm, which seemed to shift slightly, the surface morphing into something resembling a blade. “I can show you how to turn Kran into weapons, tools, even shields. But it’ll require more than just bombs.”
Before Kael could respond, another voice spoke up from behind them.
Lira, Jorik’s younger sister, appeared in the doorway, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was carrying a large, high-tech rifle slung over her shoulder—another example of the advanced tech she used. The difference, though, was that both of her legs were completely robotic. The gleaming metal limbs allowed her to move with a graceful fluidity, though she was a bit of a show-off at times.
“Kael, right? You’re that kid who blew up the statue!” Lira grinned widely, walking over to inspect Kael’s Kran devices with curious hands. “You’re kinda crazy, I like it!”
Kael raised an eyebrow, “I didn’t think anyone from Empyra would be paying attention to me.”
“We’re not from Empyra,” Jorik corrected, casting a quick glance at his sister. “We’ve been following you for a while. And, well, we need someone like you.”
Lira chimed in, her voice lighthearted and full of energy. “So, you’re planning to take down Empyra? I’m in! Just, you know, if it involves a lot of fun and messing with them, I’m down.” She winked at Kael. “You’ve got the moves, but I think we can make it even more fun.”
Kael grinned, already liking her energy. “What do you have in mind?”
“We overheard something,” Jorik said quietly, his voice lowering to a whisper. “Muskian Forces are preparing for another strike against Empyra—something big. It’s going to be their largest offensive yet. And from what we gathered, the Vortex Corps is moving in to back them up.”
Lira bounced on her heels, her voice excited. “I say we give both Empyra’s forces and the Muskian Forces a taste of their own medicine, right when they think they’re in control. Some well-placed ‘trolls’—a little chaos to throw them off balance.”
Jorik smiled warmly, his calm demeanor never changing. “I think you’re onto something, Lira. We can cause enough confusion to make their plans fall apart, while getting a good laugh.”
Kael chuckled, tapping his fingers on the workbench. “I love the sound of that. Let’s give them a show they’ll never forget. But this time, no paint bombs. We’ve got something better.”
Lira looked up, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. “Better than paint bombs? Now that’s a challenge! What’ve you got in mind?”
Kael held up a small vial of Kran essence, which was now glowing brightly. “Something that’ll make them think twice before stepping foot in Musk again.”
Jorik nodded approvingly. “It’s time to get to work.”
The three of them—Kael, Jorik, and Lira—began to form their plan, each bringing their own strengths to the table. Kael’s punkish, unpredictable nature; Jorik’s calm, methodical approach; and Lira’s infectious energy and tactical skills. Together, they were preparing for something far greater than anyone could expect—chaos, disruption, and a message to both Empyra and Muskian Forces that no one could ignore.
