“No storm of questions for this old vampire?” Vittorio asks his human companion Luca as they sprawl across the couch and his lap.

“No, not tonight, but if you have any wisdom to share, I’m glad to hear it.” Luca closes their eyes, enjoying the warmth of the hearth before they disapprovingly stare at Vittorio’s faded outfit.

The vampire catches their gaze. “If you want to look younger than you are, you dress to the trends.” He flicks Luca’s nose. “If you want to look immortal, dress how you truly want. That’s solid advice for the undead and the living.”
