PACHELBEL’S PILOT - II.a.

"As you may have already known, the incident yesterday afternoon was triggered by a clash between seven well-known heroes. Sadly, citizens like myself were caught in the crossfire- an example of the danger and consequences our loved ones' actions have in store."

Pausing, Eric’s voice and inflection clearly showed no resistance.

"Any suggestion, in particular, WILL BE HEARD."

"Isn't it the same as a robbery?" Nicole sighed softly.

"You should make sure no one can cause any kind of threat and ensure that civilians don't interfere with matters that we heroes should take care of. Keep the collateral damage to a minimum if possible." Eclipse crossed her arms and closed her eyes.

"I'm afraid that's IMPOSSIBLE, guys."

Inferno Blaze shrugged before adjusting his position and leaning forward against the table. He had a batch of cinders escape his breath, "When these things start there's only so much we can do to suppress it- a force even I couldn't fathom-"

"But I believe it's best that we utilize every resource available to achieve an end to this. Despite us bearing no fault for these events occurring, should a problem we couldn't have foreseen arise we should have a strategy for dealing with them." Mirage Mistress nodded firmly, wind chimes of earrings tinkling through the air.

"A better mindset is the best method if we are to keep the lives of others protected."

A silence came over them. Each person nodded with approval of the proposal.

Eric took the time to give the five heroes a good look, comparing each one. Before then, he had only seen them as an impressive set of figures on TV. Now, however, as he was given the task of showing them around, he finally realized that their real life counterparts were nothing like the animated ones.

Eclipse, particularly, sparked intrigue. Compared to the other members who couldn't look more black and white, she seemed the most radiant. Yet, he couldn't shake the feeling that both Inferno Blaze and Mirage Mistress standing the furthest from each other was not purely incidental.
