Chapter 29:

Chapter 31: Aftermath of Victory

Veilborn: Awakening

The battle with the Hollow King had ended, but its echoes reverberated throughout the land. The sky, once darkened by the king’s sinister power, was now clear, yet it seemed as if the world itself had held its breath. Ithan stood at the top of the ruined citadel, the Sigil still glowing faintly in his hand.

"Is it over?" Lyra asked, stepping up beside him. Her eyes, usually so guarded, were filled with an unusual mixture of awe and exhaustion. "The Hollow King... gone. But what now?"

Ithan stared at the glowing Sigil, its power now a familiar, comforting presence. The fight had been brutal, and yet, in the end, the Sigil had bonded with him in a way that went beyond magic—beyond combat. It had become part of him. The world was safe, but there was still so much left unanswered.

A sudden flash of light appeared in the sky—a shooting star streaking across the heavens. Ithan’s heart skipped a beat.

"That’s... no ordinary star," Lyra muttered, eyes narrowing. "It’s something more."
