Chapter 5:

Baba's Masterful Tournament

Street Fighter X Dragon Ball Z

Ken Master’s sat in his private jet adorning a black suit and sipping a fine glass of Pinot Noir. Looking at a picture of his beautiful wife Eliza. It was their 1st wedding anniversary and Ken really wanted to get her an amazing gift. He’d heard of a powerful fortune teller who may be able to tell him what she desires most.

“A woman’s mind is a mystery…” Ken said. “But thankfully. This fortune teller will be able to open the doors to her heart for me!” He declared as his jet raced.

Upon arriving Baba saw the jet proclaiming “He really came!” She yelled as dollar signs could be seen in her eyes. She began rubbing her hands together quickly saying “I saw it in my crystal ball, but even I didn’t believe it!”

Ken walked up onto this beautiful palace surrounded by a moat of pristinely blue water and gorgeous palm trees. “Phew! I’d hate to see the rent for this place…” He said as an old woman on a floating crystal ball floated to greet him.

In her stead was a funny, flabby pink ghost wearing a Vietnamese Nón lá hat and a young dark skinned psychic girl with purple hair. Her name was Menat. And she was a disciple of Baba’s and Rose. Rose having been Baba’s previous disciple.

“Good morning Mr. Master’s!” Baba said as Ken smirked.

“I knew you’d know my name. You’re the real deal aren’t you?”

“Oh ho ho!” She laughed. “You don’t get more real than I!” She proclaimed.

“So I…” Ken began to speak before Baba interrupted.

She explained that she knew who he was and why he was there, but that it’d cost him. He assured her that would be no problem. But after she named her price (10 Million Zeni!?) Ken decided it might be too expensive. Annoyed, but to her honor Baba said there was another way to earn a fortune from her. Defeating her rogues gallery of five fighters she declared as a they emerged from her palace.

“Wait… I only count four?” Ken said as Baba laughed.

“Oh ho ho! There’s five I assure you. One of them is the miraculous Invisible Man!” She said thinking this may give Ken pause, and persuade him to just pay the 10 million.

Ken smiled and said “Alright. Sounds neat!” He said as he swiftly removed his suit, exposing a red Gi underneath. His “butt kicking” clothes so to speak. The otherworldly warriors were floored by his readiness. Understandably frustrated Baba declared the first match a go. And it would be Ken Vs. Dracula. A skinny vampire wearing only shorts and a pair of boxing gloves.

“Alrighty round one… begin!” Baba yelled as Ken and Dracula engaged in battle and… it was a slaughter. Ken was pummeling him with no issue. Dracula turned into a bat to fly away and Ken swatted him to the ground. Defeating him.

“Errr! Round two go!”

The next battle was against the Invisible Man, and it was pretty comical to watch. Ken was bobbing and weaving in the middle of the ring, and he was the only one onlookers could see. He had his eyes closed and was using his other senses to help him fight. He would jump, duck, and sidestep against what looked like nothing. And then

*Pow!*

He bopped the Invisible Man on the nose as he garnered a pretty bad nasal bleed. He held his nose and in a nasally voice said “How!?” With Ken informing him that he stunk and he should probably take a shower. Baba was infuriated.

“Oh yeah! Think you’re pretty strong don’t you!” She proclaimed as Ken stood there ignoring her. Picking wax out of his ears. “Gah! Let’s see how you do against the Mummy!” She yelled as Ken’s cell phone began ringing.

He pulled this bulky mobile phone out of his pocket and answered. “Oh! Honey!” He said with a pause. “Yeah I’m just out doing some shopping… I’ll see you soon—Alright, I love you too. See you soon.”

Baba was confused, floating there as Ken hung up the phone. Pulled out his check book and wrote down a number. He handed her a check and said “Looks like I’ve spent too much time here as it is. Here’s your money. What does my wife Eliza want for our Anniversary?”

Baba’s confusion only heightened. She snapped out of it though as she began wafting hands before her Crystal Ball. Menat staring intently as her master worked. Baba smirked as she looked at Ken with a smile. “Well Mr. Masters… you’re in luck. It looks like the present your wife desires most is… your presence!” She declared as Ken smiled.

Despite looking genuinely happy Ken already knew that much. Saying “What a relief… but I already knew that.” He then leaned toward Menat as she blushed and hid behind Baba. “One day you’ll know a love like me and Eliza’s!” He said as she smiled softly behind her blushing rosy cheeks.

He then stood and looked at Baba again. “Alright Baba. What’s the second thing Eliza wants most for our anniversary?” He asked. Baba wafted her hands again. “A diamond necklace from Zales.” She said as Ken yelled “Sweet! Done.” He said as he walked back to his private jet calling Zales on his mobile phone as he did.

Leaving Baba and her fighters with their Jaws dropped…
