Makori ran and arrived at Sector 30, where Leonard and Gerald were.
"You're 4 hours late. I thought you only built one thing, what were you doing?" Gerald said.
"Sorry, I caught up with a new acquaintance of mine and talked for a bit." Then Makori also thought, Not really wrong, tho. I just want to say sorry to Hailey, but hearing her daughter has chips in her body made me interested. I need to get back to them after this work is done.
"Right, and not like trying to upgrade or modify anything about the built."
Makori Got offended and said, "You don't know that!"
Gerald, with a big smile, said, "Then why that helmet you use is emitting lots of light?" Gerald laughed a little while Makori frowned, and then he continued, "We saw the hologram together, Makori. I didn't remember that many lights built into that helmet in the hologram."
Leonard interrupted Gerald and Makori's conversation while also building the final build for the Disable-ator, "Hey, knock it off, guys. This thing won't build itself. Help me a bit, why don't you, Makori?"
"Sure," he walked past Gerald and Gerald received a little shock.
Gerald stopped Makori and said, "What was that?"
Makori answered, "Just a shock. You're half robot, after all."
Then the operation went just as well, but something went array. Makori felt it first because he was using the helmet that was made 2 hours ago. He said, "Yo, Leonard. Stop for a moment."
Leonard stopped working on the machine and said, "What is it? We have already wasted enough time. We can't be delayed anymore. Are my and Gerald's build complete yet? You are the one that can..."
Makori raised his hand and said, "Shhh... My helmet received something."
At that moment, Makori thought about upgrading the build and modifying it a little bit.
Gerald looked at it from a distance and said, "Hey, our build is not good enough?"
Makori responded, "No, your build is good. It's just that I think I need to upgrade it a little bit. This is a stationary machine, and not equipable nor mountable."
Leonard realized what Makori meant and said, "Are you implying that it can be destroyed easily by the robot?"
Makori responded, "I've beaten that exact thing. The robot fighting back against this machine."
Gerald and Leonard saw how enthusiastic Makori was to upgrade the build, so both of them backed up.
Makori said, "Gerald, Leonard, do you two carry any weapon?"
Both of them said, "We do."
"Good. Get ready!"
As something came, Makori's helmet started beeping and turning red. Gerald and Leonard were ready to fire whatever was coming.
Then they saw another EC robot falling from the ceiling, this time looking like a giant bee.
"Hmm looks like a beat-up EC Robot. Is there a fight going on on top of this sector", Gerald stated a theory.
Leonard responded, "If I remember correctly, Larry's squad shack was under a drug shop."
Makori said, "Enough of that. The robot is still active."
Makori quickly disabled the robot that dropped onto the sewer's floor with his newly upgraded machine and destroyed the transmitter. Then he said, "I think that wasn't enough upgrade."
Makori stood up and looked at both Gerald and Leonard and said, "You two go on ahead back. I think I might want to toy around with this machine to have a maximum afford to stop robots from coming."
After Makori declared that, Gerald walked away, but Leonard came close to Makori and said, "Don't push yourself too hard, okay? We still need you. You haven't eaten breakfast and showered, right? After this is done, let's get some food and come back to your shack to wash yourself. And then get some sleep."
After Leonard finished with his statement, he stepped back and left. Makori looked at Leonard and thought, I still can't believe some people actually support me. I made a robot apocalypse, for goodness sake. How is that okay? Am I even seen as a good friend for Leonard? I'm still having a hard time believing that.
After the thought, Makori moved on to make the disable-ator better. Then he thought of a perfect plan, a plan combining the disable-ator with his helmet.
"Hmm, this might work. I just need to connect both networks so that the disable-ator disables the robot, and then the helmet can change the transmitter frequency as if it got destroyed but in reality, the helmet makes the transmitter receive signal to this machine. Then the robot turns to serve us. That's genius."
Makori executed his plan and put the machine inside the shack that Larry and his squad were in. He removed the debris that Leonard was putting onto the door and planted the machine inside the room. Makori was happy with his achievement and said, "Ahh, I can relax now."
But before he left the shack, he thought he could get some of the machine and artillery left behind. So, he dismantled all the machines that were there and got some bits that were important and some guns and bombs to bring back to Gerald's van. As he was clearing up the place, he saw a photo of Leonard, Gerald, Larry, and the others in the military. Makori said, "Might as well bring this to Leonard and Gerald. I hope they can reminisce good memories with this photo."
After Makori finished clearing up, he sealed the place again so the robots wouldn't go in, but the machine would still activate.
Before leaving, he bowed down, and said, "Thank you for your service for 5 years with me Larry, and friends. We will miss you all deeply."

Makori arrived at Gerald's van again, and Leonard waited outside with two cups of Pop Noodle. Leonard offered the cup and said, "Good job for today."
"Thanks, Leonard. Have I said that you are the best friend I could ever have?"
"You said that a million times already."
"And you still are."
Then, both of them ate together. After they finished eating up, Makori gave the photo and said, "I thought I could do some cleaning up so your brother and his squad can rest without a lot of debris surrounding the place, and I came around this." Leonard took the photo and almost started crying. Makori continued, "I hope you still keep strong, Leonard. I know it's hard to let go,"
Leonard pulled Makori into a hug, "Thank you, Mackie. You are also a good friend."
Makori thought to himself, I guess I am a good friend.
