PREPARE FOR MASSIVE IMPACT

Hailey, Helan, and Fillian arrived at Gerald's van. They were greeted by Makori, "Yo, we need to be ready."
Fillain asked him, "It's a massacre from the other side of the district, what's the problem?"
Makori answered while pointing towards Fillian, "You. You are actually the problem. I'm not blaming, I'm just stating fact."
Hailey felt pissed at how Makori treated Fillian, so she stepped in front of Fillian and said, "What the fuck, man? You're an asshole."
Makori apologized, "Sorry," and continued, "But it's true. One of your friends there just revealed your location, and that means our hideout. They are going to swat the place clean if they come in here."

Helen gasped and said, "Are we going to die?"
Everyone gave a glance at Helen, but Makori assured her, "No. We are not going to die tonight if we prepare our defense."
Makori kept engineering his invention but was then interrupted by Leonard, "Hey, Fillian, we need you here. Come one!"

Fillian was walking to the van, and Helen asked her if she could join, but then stopped by her mother. Leonard saw them so he came close to Helen and said, "Don't worry little girl. Auntie Filly is not going anywhere."

And at the end, Fillian ended up going inside the van with Leonard. When they were inside the van, Makori asked, "So... have you changed your mind yet?"
Hailey was startled by the question and responded, "What?"
"The chips? I think that there is an important meaning behind it. Just tell me what it is and where you get it from."

Hailey was about to answer the same answer that she had said before, but Helen answered it first, "It's a medicine for my sickness."
Hailey angrily said, "Helen!"
Helen calmly said, "The doctor said Mister Makori knows it, right? Maybe we can figure it out if we talk it out with him."

Makori curiously asked, "The doctor? Linda? You guys pay a visit there?"
Helen once again preceded his mother, "I accidentally made my mom fainted."
Hailey couldn't say anything other than covering her eyes with her hand and shaking her head.
"You guys already met with her so she probably already explained the basics of the chips, right?"
Hailey was confused as to what Makori was talking about, but Helen didn't and said, "I do understand a little bit but she said we need to ask you if we want to know more."

Makori stopped his work and stood up, "Who offered you those chips?"
Hailey answered, "Why do you care?"
"Just answer it, Hailey. This is very personal if you answered someone that I know", Makori said with the most serious face he had ever made.

Hesitant to answer, Helen grabbed her mother's hand and said, "Mah. Come on."
Hailey took a deep breath and said, "He didn't want me to tell anyone his name."
Shocked by Hailey's answer, Makori said, "Kyle?"
"Huh?" Hailey was surprised by Makori's response.
"Kyle Radeon. Is it him?" Makori's face changed from serious to frustrated.

"How... How do you..." Hailey was speechless.
"God damn it. You moron, Kyle. Why would you do that?"
Hailey, once again, was hesitant to ask, but Makori just explained right away, "He's my friend... My assistant, before I was making this apocalypse, happened. We were doing this experiment together and our goals were the same."

Makori offered Hailey and Helen to sit down on top of chop-down logs that were just outside Gerald's van. Then he continued, "Our ideal goal was to build a working machine that acts like us humans. We kept on failing to do that until, eventually, I had an idea to use Artificial Intelligence. Kyle was so excited for the reason I had no idea at the time. We kept on building and experimenting. We reach a new beyond. EC and IC robots were our newest inventions, and we were proud of that achievement, but we wanted more, and so began our descent into humanity's worst nightmare."

Helen was so into the story from Makori but unlike her, Hailey was just disturbed by the story.
Makori stopped for a moment and sighed. Then he continued, "I made a mistake let him be in charge of the project for 4 months. He made what we call nanotech and his idea of a perfect human robot was not like mine. So, I cut him off from the project and we have never been friends ever since."

Hailey was confused as to why this had to do with her daughter's chips situation, so she asked, "What is this about then? Why are you telling us this?"
Then Makori revealed the dark truth about the chips, "Hailey. He used those chips to get information inside your daughter's body. He used you because you were probably desperate, and I guess he already got it because if he hadn't, Linda probably would have found a very microscopic transmitter lingering inside Helen's body."

Hailey was shocked and angry at what she heard from Makori and asked, "Then why? Why were there still chips inside my daughter's body?"
"It evolves."
"What?"
"Yeah. It was my design and Kyle was the one developing it. I stopped him from experimenting with it further after he reached variant 10. He must have tried to find a guinea pig to test his development. Hailey, it was true your daughter had chips at the very beginning of her transplant, but it was evolving and became what I called Spermox, a machine variant number 7. I'm sorry to say this, but your daughter has become half robot and half human the moment those chips evolved. And I can't extract what has been inside her."

Hailey couldn't move and was about to faint again, but Helen rushed to her mom and hugged her, "Mom, I'm okay! I'm okay!" Hailey came back to reality and saw her daughter crying, "I'm not a monster like others. I'm still your daughter. Don't fainted again. I will be sad again."

Makori gave the two a moment and said, "I'll leave you with your daughter to talk it out. I'm going to continue building the preparation for counter-attacking the robots."
Before Makori walked off from the two of them, Hailey stopped him by saying, "Hey! You will stop this madness, right?"
Makori responded, "Yes. I will end my creation."
Hailey responded back by saying, "Before you ended them all. I want you to help me kill Kyle. I won't stand back after what he has done to my daughter."
