The Hunters regrouped, their eyes burning with malice. They knew what Zeryn was capable of now, and they wouldn’t stop until they had her.

“Stay back,” the leader ordered, his eyes narrowing. “This is where you’ll learn what it means to wield the shadows.”

Zeryn stood tall, the shadows swirling around her like a cloak. She felt their power coursing through her veins, stronger than ever before.

"Let’s see if you can control it," the leader said, his voice grim.

With a deep breath, Zeryn closed her eyes and extended her hands. The shadows responded instantly, surging forward like a tidal wave, crashing into the Hunters with overwhelming force. Their weapons were no match for the power she now commanded.
