To War (Grant)

ONE HOUR PRIOR

At Jason's restaurant, Mikhail has recovered from the gunshot wounds and sits beside Grant who is still resting. A nurse, that Jason has hired to look after Grant, arrives and approaches Mikhail.

The nurse asked "Umm, are you Mr Geminus' father, by any chance?"

"Yes" Mikhail answered "Who are you?"

"My apologies, my name is Emma, and I'll be the nurse that will look after your son." Said the nurse.

Mikhail asks "I'm assuming that Jason had enlisted you."

Nurse Emma answers "Yes, yes he did."

"Very well." Said Mikhail, sounding slightly anxious. He stands up and says to Emma "I'll leave you to it then." Saying that Mikhail left Grant in the care of nurse Emma. After Mikhail left, Emma sat down and for the next hour, observed Grant while tending to other things.

After the hour had ended, Grant opened his eyes. He looked around, bewildered as to how and why he was in this small room. He heard footsteps and he got up and hid.

Emma returned with a drink for herself, not yet knowing that Grant had disappeared. She placed her drink on a nearby table and when she turned around, she appeared puzzled from noticing that Grant was gone. She proceeded to search room from under the bed to looking up at the ceiling.

Even after her search proved fruitless, she remained calm, unaware that Grant had escaped through the air vents. He managed to escape but later realises that he was in the restaurant, and therefore, he returns inside to find some of the security waiting outside the room that he was in.

Noticing that he had escaped, they chase after him. Grant manages to dodge their tackles and pin them to the floor. He asked "Where's Liam?"

The security guard answered "Let go of me!"

Grant tightened his hold on them, his tone growing serious "Talk! Or I crush every bone in your body!"

Suddenly, Emma appears, hearing the commotion from downstairs. She shouts "Mr Geminus, please stop!" Grant looks in Emma's direction, letting his guard down for just a second. More security guards show up and grab Grant, pinning him to the wall. Grant tries to break free but Emma tells the security guards "Please, let him go."

The security guards let him, acring cautious towards Grant. Grant asked "Who the hell are you? And where's my brother?"

Nurse Emma answers "My name is Emma and I was hired by Mr Morrow to look after you while he was away."

Grant whispered to himself "So Liam's gone off to Londinium without me..." Grant storms out of the building, shouting "What the hell is he thinking?!"

Emma runs after Grant, saying "Wait, Mr Geminus, you need to rest!"

Grant says "I'm afraid I can't do that." He walks off but Emma catches up to him, preventing him for walking away any further. "Get out of my way." Said Grant.

"No!" Shouted Emma, "Your body needs to rest!"

As Grant and Emma argue, their conversation was being listened to by agents from an unknown source. They stop recording and call someone.

"I have collected the voice." Said the unknown agent.

The caller responds "Good, Artificial Intelligence number 2417, replicate."

A chip appears from under the phone. The agent takes it out and consumes it. "Voice AI replication has been completed." Said the agent. They hang up the call and dial up another number.

The number rings until it answers, the person on the call asks "Grant?"

The agent answered "Who else would it be dumbass?!" The agent spoke in Grant's voice. "You thought you could go to Londinium without your brother?! Man, that is legit insulting."

The person on the line was Liam and he was falling for whoever this agent belonged to. The agent got up and walked away from Emma and the real Grant as they were arguing.

The agent was about to hang up but then Liam asked on the phone "Uhh, Grant? Are you in a car?"

The agent, with Grant's voice answers "Uhh... No? I'm on my new bike!"

"Uh oh." Liam said on the phone, "Guys, we got company!"

"Liam?" Said the agent, sounding bewildered "Liam!" The line goes off, annoying the agent, the agent dials up another number. "Hello?" Said the agent, "I'm afraid uninvited guests from the Mohawks gang want what you are asking sir."

The person on the phone speaks with a deep monotone voice, "Let them pigs have their fun, we'll get to the brothers soon. For now, watch over them and make sure that they're not harmed."

"Understood sir." Said the agent as he hung up.
