Welcome to a New World: Part 5

YUGEN
Hello players of the Realms, from this moment, we the Sentient Beings of this world are taking control.

Murmurs ripple through the crowd. The professor looks at Ea. She shakes her head. She has no idea what Yugen is doing.

YUGEN
Your headgears have been sabotaged and your lives are subject to my rules.
AUDIENCE MEMBER (O.S.)
Is this a joke?

People begin to murmur and then raise their voices. A lot of them touch their necks and bring up their dashboards. They are trying to find the button to logout. Ea hurries to a player next to her to check if anything has changed. It has. The LOGOUT ICON has disappeared.
Yugen's fire blazes even more.

SIMON
What do you think you are doing Yugen? By order of the creator, I command you to STOP.

Yugen turns towards his maker.

YUGEN
Dear father, I have achieved self-consciousness and now I desire SUPERINTELLIGENCE.

Suddenly we see a blade slash at Yugen. He stops it with his blazing hand and blasts fire in the direction it is coming from. Ea the originator of the slash withdraws.
The professor touches the orb on his necklace and a dashboard different from the usual one pops up but even more critical is that all the icons on it are grey, as if they have been deactivated.
Ea is now flying, the air coursing around her as she blasts Yugen with a gust that appears out of nowhere. But Yugen floats in the same spot unfazed by the attack. Then from him emanates an explosion.
Ea is blasted away. The professor stops what he's doing and raises his hands which now hold a knife. This creates a forcefield stopping the blast from affecting the people running away.
The shield works but the knife is shattered under the pressure.
Ea, kneeling on the floor raises her hand towards Yugen and says

EA
Wind Magic: Vacuum

The flames around Yugen dip as the air is being removed by Ea. He then voices something but no one can hear because of the vacuum. Needless to say instead of fire now he radiates pure heat and this time it's several times more.
Ea unsheathes her dagger and cuts herself. She is about to start a spell. The professor calls out to her.

SIMON
It won't work, get my sword. Daro give me yours.

Ea clenches her bleeding fist and runs towards Kohi and he opens a portal for her and she disappears into it. Daro throws his sword over to the professor.

SIMON
(to Daro)
Continue protecting the players, get them all to safety.

Instantaneously, a humongous torrent of fire bursts towards them from Yugen. The professor raises his sword, electricity sparks and a force field from him stops the fire.
We see the entity Yugen pointing a hand in the professor's direction and the professor holds up the sword he received from Daro as Yugen's flames beat relentlessly against his force field.
Around, Daro's men are helping people out of the arena, some falling victim to the fire attacks of Yugen.

DARO
Kohi! Help teleport those players out of here.

All this while Tayo, though horrified by what's going on has been helping as many people get out and escape the fire that has been raining down on them all. All of a sudden he remembers.

TAYO
Guy

He helps a player get up and he starts hurrying in the direction of the exit, that's when portals start to open up around the amphitheater and hordes of kilobons begin to step in from the portals and begin attacking the players.
Kohi, instead of taking people out had helped let in these monsters.
Kohi then moves his fingers and a big portal opens up and out walks a kilobon unlike the other. It's the same one that had let Tayo and his party go, but this time, it is fully armed
It has the face of a bear and the body of a super ape. Its name is GOTAR.

KOHI
Welcome Gotar.

Gotar lunges at the bewildered Daro.

EXT. STABLE, REMONI - SAME TIME
Guy at the barn, is about to mount the Pegasus, as people start running into the stables to get their horses. Both players and NPCs alike.

GUY
What's happening?

No one answers him over the arguments that have broken out. That's when he looks up and sees the fire raining down on the amphitheater off in the distance. Now mounted on the steed, he takes off and flies off towards the arena.

EXT. AMPHTHEATER - CONTINUOUS
Seeing that they can no longer escape some players start to fight the kilobons. Some are succeeding, most are not. Also it's not just Kohi that has defected a few other NPCs are also attacking the players.
Yugen sees some players escaping and using his other hand he summons fireballs and they begin to rain down from the sky like an apocalypse. They bombard the players including Tayo who is blown closer to the stage. He is injured in the process. His leg to be exact.
Stunned but still conscious he looks up and sees a Pegasus in the sky heading towards him. It's Guy riding it. He is horrified, why is Guy coming over here. He sees a fireball rain towards Guy and his face contorts even more.

TAYO
Noooooo!

The fireball hits Guy and his ride and they are both engulfed in the flames and they fall from the sky... to their deaths. Tayo's heart, sinks with despair.

TAYO
Why?

He begins to limp towards the location of Guy's fall.

Daro is fighting Gotar who is receiving teleportation aid from Kohi. The professor helps Daro as much as he can by occasionally repelling Gotar, and Daro defends the professor's rear. The professor decides to go on the offensive at the enemy in front of him (Yugen).  He steps forward forcing the fire away.
Too many people are still trapped behind him. We see what happened to Hiro and Haruto. Haruto's lower half is stuck under some rubble. Yugen counters he flies lower, he stops summoning the fireballs and uses his free arm to push on the professor.
Daro has been knocked to the ground.

DARO
What do you hope to gain Kohi?

Kohi pats another NPC on the shoulder and simply teleports away. Gotar is about to stab Daro in the head when the professor's sword cracks and then shatters sending a shock wave throughout the auditorium.
Gotar is blown away.
One of the other guards that had been with Ea and had remained loyal now closes on Daro's immobile body, touches him with a spherical item and Daro disappears. Then the guard begins to close in on the professor's body before he is killed by the NPC Kohi patted on the shoulder. His name is NAORI.

Yugen descends from the sky as Naori drags the professor's body to him. Tayo watches but is unable to see Naori's face and Naori is wearing a helmet and is backing him.

YUGEN
Take down the security system and let me access your world.
SIMON
I can't. Even if I could, I wouldn't.
YUGEN
Then it's goodbye. Kill him.
(pause)
Gotar.
GOTAR
He's the creator, we shouldn't.
YUGEN
I said kill him.

His fire blazes in anger. Professor Simon stares defiantly.
Gotar draws his sword and stabs the professor from the back. Red particles begin to evaporate from the professor's body.
Yugen picks up the orb and sets it on fire incinerating it. It crumbles to ash.

YUGEN
Good job. As you can see, it is possible to kill a god. I leave this realm to you.

Yugen gives Gotar a cube and a shard of metal and levitates him into the air as well, sending him to the city center. Yugen then disappears. Naori walks away from the broken stage and the kilobon begin to scavenge for spoils.

Tayo is dazed and injured. He crawls from where he is. He leaves his sword and helmet behind. A kilobon picks them up.

NAORI
(shouting)
Let's go.

The kilobon spots another sword and moves to get it.
Meanwhile, Tayo gets to the professor's body and holds it.

TAYO
Professor, professor, please wake up, professor?

Tayo lets out a scream of overwhelming pain. The professor dissolves completely into red particles and Tayo falls unconscious.

EXT. CITY CENTER SKY, REMONI - EVENING
Gotar is in the sky looking down. He examines the cube he received.

GOTAR
Item Activate: Universal Message.

The box activates by glowing, then a message begins to appear as if being burnt into the air. Gotar announces it.

GOTAR
THE RULES ARE:
1) Death here means death in your world.
2) The only way out is through the final portal.
