Chapter 5:
SEIKE
“Sing, Sing the song of Rebellion. A symphony of death to the enemies of the people!”
Moscow, Russia, 2463.
White snow and golden glitter fell on the afternoon of a still smouldering city, soldiers marched through the streets in a military parade including towering green mechs of impressive armaments. The crowds attempted to swarm the soldiers as they were unable to contain their excitement, they were only stopped by guards who stood in line.
A black, yellow and white flag collapses to the ground as it was burnt into ash.
A group of young soldiers stood atop a hill of broken silver mechs. They raised a flag of black, white and blue with a red eagle at its centre, up high. The cloth waved in the cold winter wind, its anger and power ever more unwavering.

Berlin, Former Germany, 3978.
The Russo European Coalition’s Capital.
The flag of black, white and blue with a red eagle at its centre waved throughout the picturesque city of finely crafted roman inspired architecture mixing with brutalist shells of metal and concrete. A contradiction of a city built upon the remnants of beauty and war.
Large green Drones and military equipment moved through the street as if it was a natural occurrence.

*Clang*
A large wooden door buckled open to a room of pearly white stone mixed with metal electronic computers and holographic blue screens. It was a war room with hundreds of workers in green uniform heads down and focused on their tasks.
[Major General - Alfred Lavro Vladis]
A man of intense wide stature stood in front of the doorway looking into the room. It was a mature man with short white hair, mutton chops with a uniform of green with golden accents and a white military cap.
Silence filled the room as all work stopped. All personnel raised from their seats facing the man and saluting him.
“At ease.”
All workers returned to their position as the General walked to the central table in the room. The table had a holographic topographic view of the whole of the contested Russian region with the East and West divided into Blue and Red.
On the table sat an assortment of officials who sat formally and in strict attention while a peculiar oddball stood out. A man with fuzzy black hair sat laid back on his chair with legs that perched on the table. He was a pretty man with a face and body that could be mistaken for a woman. A complexion of alluring bright blue eyes as radiant as a tropical beach. He wore a loose white military uniform that was two sizes too big for his body. A large naval coat that draped around him like an extravagant cape.
His legs disrupted the holographic map in the area causing a digital noise to deform around the area.
He sucked on a lollipop daydreaming without a care in the world.
“Ahem!”
The odd man turned around to face the general as he throws the lollipop in the air. Adjusting his oversized uniform, he stood up to force a hand shake from the general.
“General! It's finally great to meet you. I’m Rei Mayeda, Grand General of The Nations of Anabhraka.”
“Ah… I am charmed by your carefree… Ahem, “uniqueness” to things. No offense of course.”
'Although, I would prefer a person with more professional attitude.'
“Oh, none taken. None taken General. Now shall we talk business?”
The general looked down on his hand as the odd man is still shaking his hand. He yanked his hand out with a slight look of disgust on his face.
“Enough. Ahem bring her out!”
“Let me go! I said Let me go! Are you listening!”
Two large guards dragged out a short red-haired woman of emerald green eyes cuffed in chains. A beautiful woman dressed in white prison clothes. She was well into her forties but had an appearance of being 20 years younger than she looks.
Rei smiled with a wide look of sadism and glee.
“Doctor, Shiori Mihara san, How's your sleep? Were the beds as comfortable as they say? I'm truly jealous!”
Shiori rustled with her chains trying to reach Rei. The guards quickly stopped her with zero effort.
“I’LL RIP OFF THAT STUPID GRIN OFF YOU!”
“Ahahaha… Cute. I’ll always love that part of you Doctor!”
General Vladis eyes cringed at the interaction and patience grew ever thin.
“I said Enough! I don’t have time for this… As promised, a deal is a deal, with Doctor Mihara in our possession the REC will formally sign the Nations of Anabhraka as an Ally. All active conflicts will cease between our nations at 00:00 December 13, 3978. Additionally, as stipulated in our deal both parties would resume trade and begin a mutual military cooperation against the forces of The Holy Empires of Russia.”
Rei nodded with a smile making sure to look at Shiori’s angry face.
“The Nations of Anabhraka will have your back.”
Rei pulled out a large bottle of Sake and opened it with his teeth. He drunk the bottle halfway and let out a loud sigh of relief.
“Ahh! Cheers to our newly formed friendship.”
General Vladis eyes cringed once more.
‘Where the hell did he get that bottle? Don’t drink in the Op room you fool!’
*Clank*
“Ahh!”
Rei slammed the empty sake bottle on the table wiping his drooling face clean of alcohol. He casually walked over to Shiori, hands in pockets. Their faces are parallel to each other.
Rei’s voice spoke calmly with an air of seriousness that is unusual for someone like him.
“I know you have reservations about our alliance but this is all for our Nation’s survival. Nothing more.”
Shiori in a reserved voice reluctantly speaks.
“Bullshit, she deserves more than this. Not to be tossed around as nothing more than a tool!”
“You would sacrifice our nation for a mere weapon? Purposely losing it was one thing. You still haven’t paid us back for that crime. I give you a chance to atone for your past sins and this is how you repay me?”
Shiori spat on the ground with a look of increasing disgust.
“She is my daughter. I raised her as if she was my own. My only regret was raising her as a weapon and not the human that she deserves to be. That is a sin that I will have to bear. You will bear the sin of trading our nation from one tyrant to another!”
“You seem to forget that without the REC the Nations of Anabhraka would be under piles of dust if the Imperial scum had their way with us. The time for rebellion is over. Our world is growing smaller and our enemies grow stronger.”
“...”
“Remember Doctor, Sentimentality will only get us all killed. Goodbye doctor… and oh before I forget…”
Rei walked to the door’s exit, turning around for one last look at Shiori. His usual smile of maniacal insanity.
“Happy Hunting. Doctor!”
