Chapter 5

John was now at his home, and it was now afternoon, where they all were safe for now. They were all now sitting around the table after lunch, where they closed the store for a while.

"So basically, you were almost dead by that time right?" Tod said

"You guys know the term out of body experience? Thats what I was experiencing throughout my days in coma." John said

"Tod, what is this out of body experience?" Angel said

"An out of body experience is where the soul would go out of ones body temporarily, to experience something out of this world." Tod said as john agrees

"I see. But why and how?" Angel said

"He already explained it to us right? So why are you still asking?" Tod said

"Cause its just too exaggerated to be true! There is no way that human technology would develop that way." Angel said

"Unfortunately, its all true mom, whether you would believe it or not." John said. "Which is also part of why I now have these given powers."

"But why exactly would god chose you? You are just a normal boy. Cant he chose another one?" Angel said

"And why would I question god? When all he can say is that its my destiny." John said as tod agrees

"Anyways, what will you do now?" Tod said

"Nothing. I just wait for something to come to me." John said

"Why would you have to wait? You have all that power, then you can just go out and correct it." Tod said

"I can always do that, but its always better to let things flow as it is, until the mission will come to me." John said before a chat came from his phone. "Speaking of destiny at work."

"Can you see the future john?" Angel said as john was checking his phone

"Nope. I only have but one power, and thats lightning. Please do keep that fact to ourselves, since depending on the event, it might change how I will save you and the family." John said

"I see. So who is the one chatting you now?" Tod said

"Its just the team leader from the company, saying that I need to get back to the company to claim my salary and for my reason for leaving the company." John said

"No! You cant leave! They might do something to you that we wont know!" Angel said

"Dont be like that angel, I think he has the right to choose. So, just what will you do now john?" Tod said

"Thanks dad. For now, I might try to make contact with the company, so that I can bring justice for myself." John said

"Are you sure that you will be fine by yourself?" Angel said being worried

"Yes, I will be. Its already been 2 years now since I treated myself, im now cured from hypnotism." John said assuring them

"Alright then. We will let you go out once more, but please do promise me 3 things." Tod said

"Ok. What will that be?" John said

"Be good, be just, and come back safely." Tod said

"Yes, that I will." John said with a smile

After that, he then booked a ticket to Cebu and back. Then after a few days, he flew towards Cebu.

"Hahh.. im back." John said while carrying his backpack outside the airport, where he just arrived. "Now to get a taxi."

But when he was walking towards the taxi corner, 2 random guys halted him, aiming their guns at the head.

"You are coming with us, so dont make a fuss!" One of the guys said

When the crowd around them saw what has happened, they all got as far as possible.

"What do you want from me? Im just a random person." John said calmly while still standing

"I said, dont make a fuss!" That guy said, before he fell down due to electrocution

"Dude!" The other guy said as he was surprised and panicked on what happened

"Sorry, but hes dead." John said as he now faces them

"What did you just do?! Tell me!" The other guy said as he now pointed the gun at him, afraid

"Tell me first, who sent you to take me?" John said

"Like I will tell you!" The other guy said before he pulled the trigger

The crowd that was near them were now running away, where the other guy also emptied his magazine into john, only to his surprise that john was unscathed.

"Just what are you?!" The other guy said as he also threw the gun at him, only to bounce off

"If you wont tell me who sent you, then just tell your boss to give up while he can." John said before he walked away

After a few minutes, the airport police came to the scene only to find a dead body, as the other guy was able to run away from the other direction. And while john said able to walk far enough to get a taxi, and rode towards a hotel near the company. He then visits his close relatives in the afternoon, where he gathered them to explain the situation, over lunch. When night falls, around maybe 11pm, he then goes towards up the company building, towards the company boss office.

"Im entering maam white." John said after he knocked on the door to the boss office

"Please, do enter john." May white, the vice president of the company said as she sits in her chair

The room was white, which had some office furniture for her files, and a window which was overlooking the hall for the call center agents.

"I will just cut to the chase, if I may." John said as he sits on a chair across white

"Ok, you may speak." White said, sitting straight in her seat

"As you might already know, I resigned from my post ever since I sent my letter to you 2 years ago. If I may, I would like to take my salary, and some more if possible." John said seriously

"Ok, I get your point. But may I know the reason why you have resigned? Directly from you." White said

"Yes, you may. In fact, I have already prepared a written letter about my story, though you may not be able to believe it." John said with a smile, before he gave the letter to white

“Thank you for this, but I would like to hear it directly from you if possible.” white said after receiving the letter

“probably not. I have already given a written letter about my story, on what really happened to me on the event. And besides, I know your stalling for time.” john said with a smirk

“stalling for what time? I don’t know what you are talking about.” white said as she was shaking a bit

“hahh.. I will take my leave now. That is if you have nothing more to ask me, aside from whats already there on the letter.” john said before he stood up

White said nothing, after a few seconds, john left the office and walked towards HR. Where he was then given his complete salary. Then after getting to the elevator, he checked the contents of the envelope, to find a letter that only says the best of luck to him.

“just what does this mean? Though it doesnt change the fact on what to do.” john said to himself

After the elevator got to the ground floor, the elevator was barraged with gun fire before the doors even opened.
