Chapter 9

After 2 days, they arrived at darwin international airport, in australia.

“hahh.. we have finally arrived.” sheryl said as she stretches her arms and legs

They were now at the arrivals section in the airport, getting their bags.

“yes, it was quite the flight.” bushra said as she was holding one of the carts

“we could have just flown towards here though, that way is much faster.” eliza
”remember what josh said? To preserve our strength for the upcoming battle. Battle tactics 101.” trina

"Even though we all have powers, doesnt mean we are gods, we are still human." Sara

“yes, yes. I know.” eliza

“let me also help with the bags josh.” lucy said, helping him get the bags to the carts

“thanks.” josh said after the bags were all in the carts

Josh and bushra both pushed the carts towards the exit where they met a man in black with his name on the sign

"Im with the australian government, right this way please mr josh." The man in black said as he walks towards the van just for them

They then got their things into the van and drove out of the airport.

"So, where will the mission be this time?" Lucy

"Its in mt uluru maam, your mission is just to find the people thats missing at that mountain." The man in black said as he was driving

"I see. And.. nothing more?" Lucy said as they were all listening

"Nothing more i suppose." The man in black said

"Oh, alright then. Its an easy mission i guess." Lucy said as the girls sighed

"Oh yeah, josh, how is the hospital and the mall going?" Eliza

"Just a little bit more more i suppose. What you expect from the philippines?" Josh said with a gesture

"Yeah, i can totally relate to that." Trina

"Anyways, when are we going to arrive there sir?" Sara said to the man in black

"Call me steve, im steve evans. And we will arrive there by this afternoon, which is why your flight was set to early morning." Steve

"I see. So what actually happened to the people out there?" Sara

"They got lost maybe, though we checked all around and found nothing on satellite. Between us, there is a rumor that a team was dispatched to search for the missing people." Steve

"Then?" They all listened carefully

"They vanished from the mountain itself. Weird huh." Steve said as he was driving through traffic

"Weird indeed." Josh said as he was thinking

"You guys know what might be happening here? It would be good if you might know something." Steve

"Dont have any concrete evidence yet, but i have a theory." Josh

"Whoa! Immediately?! As expected from the first soul warrior and the hero. So, what is the theory?" Steve said as the girls were listening

"Like i said, i dont have any concrete evidence yet. So assuming everything from theory would be unprofessional." Josh

"True." Trina said as everyone agrees

"Anyways, we still have ways until mt uluru, better eat up and take a pee while you can." Steve

"Ok then, can we stop at any mcdonalds along the way? We are starving." Josh said as the girls agree

"Sure! Leave it to me. I also have to change clothes anyways for the journey ahead." Steve said as he switched lanes

After that, they had a full breakfast at mcdonalds and took some toilet break for an hour, then they all went towards "alice springs" for another break and to eat, all before they went towards mt uluru.

"At last, we are here." Eliza

They finally arrived at mt uluru at night

"Please tell me again why we arent spending the night at alice springs?" Sheryl said being irritated

"This isnt a vacation, this is a mission. Besides, its not me who set all this up." Steve

"Who is it that made the arrangements anyways?" Eliza

"It was the prime minister himself." Steve

"Well, hes got a lousy way of treating his guests." Eliza

"Eliza, we arent guests here but a mercenary team." Lucy

"though it would have been great if we could have stayed for the night." Trina

"Hahh.." all of the girls sighed

"Anyways, the president has faith that you guys can solve this fast." Steve

"Which is why he set for you to drive all the way? Its really not right you know! There are women here!" Sheryl

"Uhh.. josh?" Steve said leaning to josh

"Dont look at me, the girls are right you know." Josh said as he got out of the van

"Hahh.." steve said as he also got out of the van

They then got out of the van where they then walk towards the mountain

“so josh, what will we do?” sara said as they stand in awe at how big is mount uluru

“steve, you said that rumors say that satellites didn’t find anything out of the ordinary with the surroundings at mt uluru, am I right?” josh

“yes, thats right.” steve

“so we head inside the mountain. Is there any entrance inside the mountain steve?” josh

“not that I know of, this is even the first time I have been here. Im born and raised in sydney after all.” steve

“Alright then, lets all go back to the van and go around the mountain for an entrance.” josh said as he walks back towards the van

“hahh.. good thing he told me to refuel when I got the chance.” steve said before the rest of them got back to the van

They then go around the mountain and later found an entrance to a cave, inside the mountain.

“its really there, just as you said. What are you josh? An esper?” steve said as they all got out of the van

“nope, I just view all possibilities as much as possible.” josh said as they start to walk
”good thing im wearing pants, just as josh said.” lucy

“hahh.. if only it were daytime, we can also avoid any type of danger in the wild.” sheryl

“we can always fly towards the cave.” eliza

“good idea!” sheryl said as she flew towards the cave entrance

With that idea, the girls then flew towards the entrance of the cave

“hey josh! Are you coming?” trina shouted at the entrance

“would you like to have a lift steve?” josh

“uhh.. if you please.” steve said before josh carried him. “this feels weird.”

“yeah, I know. Anyways, where do you work steve?” josh

“from the presidential security group, why?” steve

“just asking. Do you have any powers?” josh

“nope. And don’t plan to have.” steve

“well, in this new world today, being a soul warrior is slowly reaching out into society. So I thought that you might need it.” josh

“well, I have thought about it, but im also a bit scared of seeing ghosts.” steve

“i see. I wont force you, though you might need it one day. So when you need it, just call us, alright? We will teach you guys the ways.” josh said as they now landed on the entrance of the cave

"what took you guys so long? Good thing we have flashlights with us.” eliza said as they begin to walk inside the cave

“just a little talk with steve, thats all. Anyways, this feels weird.” josh

“whats weird?” sara

“dont you guys feel it? The feeling of your senses tingling.” josh

“yes, I feel it a bit.” bushra

“everything does seem weird. I mean, just how can any group of tourists or adventurers even get lost in here?” eliza

“i don’t know, but thats the point of this investigation right?” josh

“you told us earlier josh, that you had a theory, what was it?” trina

“is it really alright to divulge my theory right now?” josh

“yes.” all of them said

“alright then. My theory is that the tourists or adventurers are indeed lost, not by where, but by what. Until we know what that is, my theory has no concrete evidence of any sort.” josh

“now that, is quite the theory.” steve

“why do you say that josh?” sara

“as the gods didn’t grant me all the abilities, there are some powers which can or might be able to make this sort of stuff, which can lead to harming people as well.” josh

“i thought that you have all the powers needed to be a soul warrior josh.” steve

“there are some things that are more important than all the gold and wealth of this world, besides, those other abilities arent quite needed.” josh

“i see. I guess your not as perfect as we picture you to be.” steve

“not all humans are born perfect steve, which is why we are already perfect in gods eyes. Which is why god was very hesitant to give me these abilities at first.” josh

“why? If its used for the greater good--” steve

“if you give your baby an armed nuke, would you do it?” josh

“that doesnt answer the fact that it can do good for the whole human race.” steve

“please answer the question steve.” josh

“i probably wont.” steve

“nope, you wont and will never. Thats how god feels when giving me, and us, these abilities. It can only do more harm than good under any hands.” josh

“then what about you? What made you so different than the others?” steve

“during the time a god, hermes, called me to help the other gods which were in trouble, I never hesitated even once and did an astral projection to go to purgatory to fight against all evil.” josh

“that doesnt answer the question josh.” steve

“its because hes with a pure heart, which is probably why the gods gave him his powers.” eliza

“besides, the gods probably thought that we are almost there with our current technology, so why not give humanity a protector or someone who will preserve the balance.” trina

”I see. It does make a lot of sense considering what you have done josh.” steve

“anyways, were here at the end of the cave. Do you sense anything josh?” lucy said as the girls have gone and spread out

“nothing yet. It looks like I have to--” josh

When josh was about to use his scan ability, bushra had her hand disappear out of thin air, before her body slowly disappears as she was about to walk on something

“bushra!” josh said as he used his whip of justice to save her and pulled her from an invisible portal

“guys! Back to josh! Now!” steve said as before the rest of the girls noticed and was about to disappear

“tch!” josh said before he immediately brought out about 5 more whips to pull all the girls from the invisible portals

“what the heck!?” sheryl

“you guys almost disappeared on us!” steve said as all the girls realized what might have happened

“anyways, stand back guys. You might also get caught in what im about to do.” josh said as he steps in front of the team

“what are you going to do josh?” steve

“just watch and learn.” josh said before he used soul freeze around the whole cave

With soul freeze, the soul will literally be frozen, thus any of the metaphysical and physical cant move. And with soul freeze, josh was also able to freeze the invisible portals around the cave, making it visibly frozen.

“whoa! Just when did you have something like that?!” steve said being surprised. “and is it me or is it freezing here?”

“i just never used it until now.” josh said before he walks towards a frozen portal

Then at a frozen portal, where the portals were all very slim and spherical in shape, he deliberately opened it with his herculean strength to to stick his head for a second to check on what is going on inside. As josh was wearing a headlight, he was able to see the bodies of the tourists and adventurers stuck inside that invisible portal. There was also a gust of wind from that very portal which was made to suck on things when josh opened it.

“i see them!” josh

“josh, what now?!” sara said as they were holding their ground from the suction of the portal

“use the whip of justice and get all the victims out of the portal while I hold it open!” josh shouted since the wind was loud

“stand back steve, and let us deal with the victims.” bushra said as the girls ready themselves in front of steve

With the girls ready, they all used the whip of justice to get all the victims out from the portal before josh confirms everyone and closes it.

“whew! Now we just have to save everyone else in those other portals.” josh said to the team

“hahh.. I was afraid you might say that.” trina said as she was tending to the vitals of each victim

“so there is actually more?” steve
”there might be more, but we just have to check with every portal here.” josh

“alright then, lets get ready girls. Trina, you handle the victims along with steve.” eliza said as the girls go into their positions

“o-oh, ok.” steve said before he tends to the victims as well

They then repeated the process for how many hours and for many portals inside the cave. then after a while, before they went for the last few portals, lights were seen from the distance.

“josh! It seems that we have company!” steve said as he noticed the lights

With steves warning, josh and the rest were able to catch on and turn around to see thugs with weapons surrounding them from all sides
”who are you and what are you doing here?!” said the boss of the thugs

“we are all here on a mission to find the missing people in this area, why do you ask?” josh

“well, it seems that you saved us from all the trouble of getting them. Men, aim your guns at them!” the boss said

“but boss, there are also women there!” one of the thugs said

“your really a horny bastard, arent you? In any case, shoot them if they ever move!” the boss said before he got out of the car

“how and why did you do this?!” josh said as he walked forward

When josh walked forward, the all the thugs open fire, but to a futile effort. Since the girls already was shielded by josh.

“hey josh, we already have shield with us.” sheryl said as the girls were all just standing

“i just felt like protecting you girls.” josh said to the girls before facing the thugs. “Anyways, answer the question!”

“oh? It seems that that one has powers. So we should also take care of them using our powers as well.” the boss said before the thugs show off all their powers

“well, that saved the time for us to know what your powers are. So whoever you are, better prepare for a world of pain.” josh said as he was now standing side by side with the girls. “are you girls ready?”

“ready when you are!” sheryl said as the girls agree

With that, josh and the girls starts the fight against the australian mafia, with the girls flying and josh just standing in one place.
”are you playing with us boy?!” the boss said before facing the thugs with anger. “Attack them now!”

As the girls attack all the thugs with the elements, josh just stayed there in one spot and using soul freeze, all while josh gives a smirk. Then after a while of attacking, they easily got the boss frozen besides his car.

“y-you w-win! Wh-what d-do y-you want?” the boss said as he was frozen while standing besides his car

“i only need one thing, the truth.” josh said before he used the whip of justice on the boss. “answer me! Who are you and why are you here?!”

“i am richard prick, and im the boss of the mafia around these parts. As for why we are here, we are to collect those people from our traps and turn them into loyal soldiers for us.” richard said while trying to struggle from the whip

“how will you make them into loyal soldiers?” josh said as the girls all listen behind him

“we got our orders from an australian pharmaceutical company, I don’t know which one, but they said they will make them into soul whatever!” richard

“hmm.. this is more alarming than I thought.” josh said as the girls agree

“you said your the boss of the mafia in this area, so there are also others in other areas am I right?” eliza

“i-I don’t know. All I know is to bring those people to our base, and exchange them for money.” richard said before he fainted

“thats probably all that he knew.” josh

“we should report this to HQ right now.” steve said right behind them

“yes, I suppose we should.” josh said before facing the girls. “we should wrap this up quick girls.”

As the girls agree, they then got back to getting the rest of the victims from the portals. As back up for the mafia appeared, they finished them all off easily, and tied richard with his clothes. After that, steve called for the military with his satellite phone to pick up all the victims in the cave.

"Hello, this is steve"

"Hello there steve, this is gilian morrison, the prime minister. Please report."

"Yes sir! There has been some dead among the bodies found, and some which are just unconscious."

"Tell me more."

"Josh said that we found the victims inside what sort of been a pocket dimension. Hes now sealing it as we speak."

"Pocket dimension?! How is that even possible?"

"According to his theory, someone from the mafia might have a severing ability which he calls soul cut, which can cut through souls and the metaphysical, creating an invisible portal to a pocket dimension. But the problem lies in how to get those victims from the pocket dimension, which is why the mafia in this area has come with lots of men."

"I really dont know just where the physics in that lies, and just how is that possible anyways?"

"I dont know, thats all he ever said to me."

"Well, give me josh, i will need to speak to him."

"Roger sir." Steve said before finding josh with his girls. "Josh, its the prime minister wanting to talk with you."

"Hello sir." Josh said as he picks up the phone

"Hi josh, i heard mostly from steve on what happened. Can you explain exactly why your so called, soul cut, can make a pocket dimension?"

"It will be difficult to explain it simply sir, would you still--"

"Dont make a fool out of me josh, lets hear it."

"Ok. Soul cut is mostly an ability to cut through souls, thus cutting them permanently in half. As souls dont die, they are just cut. As for any regular soul warrior, soul cut can cut through any connection a soul warrior has with his own hero or animal soul. In any regular human cases, they die having their soul cut from their physical body."

"I see. But that doesnt explain why it can make pocket dimensions."

"Im about to go there sir."

"Oh, please continue."

"In theory, soul is a part of a system in the world of quantum, the world of the super small where atoms and energy live. Soul cut makes use of the energy in the quantum to make a rift in reality, thus with enough quantum energy, one could literally cut through dimensions."

"Wow, just how would that be possible with our current technology josh?"

"Probably not possible sir. Maybe not even in the future."

"Why? There are infinite possibilities--"

"Im not saying its impossible, it only means that im not sure its possible."

"Oh, i see."

"If i wasnt here, these victims might probably be lost forever. Anyways, maybe all the victims are safe, so can we now go to a hotel?"

"Sure, no problem. Go hitch in one of the choppers after they finished loading the victims."

"Ok."

"But as frustrating as it is, im glad i called you."

"Pride is nothing compared to doing the right thing."

"Hahh.. fine. Your right."

"Is that all?"

"Yes." Gilian said before he cuts the line

"Hey steve, is that all the victims?" Josh said as he gives back the phone

"Yes, i believe so."

"The prime minister said we can ride on a chopper once were done here, what are you going to do steve?" Josh

"Maybe i will drive the van back to alice springs and stay there for the night." Steve

"So where will we stay for the night josh? Alice springs or in sydney?" Lucy

"Maybe in sydney, the prime minister probably has accounted that much." Josh

"Actually.." steve said as he was about to say something

The next day, at a hotel in sydney, where josh and the girls had a good sleep.

"This is quite the good hotel." Josh said as he just woke up

"Yeah, if we hadnt paid for the hotel." Sheryl said as she also wake up. "Good morning everyone."

"Oh, its now afternoon." Lucy

"But at least the ticket back is free." Bushra

"The prime minister probably forgot all about our accomodations for the day." Eliza

"Talk about inconvenient. Well, there is no use lamenting on that." Sara

"It looks like trina is still asleep, she did use the most powers among us here." Josh

*ring* josh phone rang

"Hello?"

"Hello josh, this is gilian morrison here."

"Hello mr prime minister, what is it now?"

"Uhm.. im very sorry about this but--"

"If its about the hotel, its fine. Whats done is done."

"No, i mean, i need you to get out of australia."

"Huh?! What does that mean?!" Josh said surprised

"I mean what i mean josh, you need to get out of australia now."

"What brought this up? I mean, havent we saved a lot of people by now?!"

"Yes, im grateful for that, but things have suddenly changed unfortunately."

"Why?!"

There was silence on the line as the prime minister only expressed frustration

"Its the illuminati, am i right? They are behind this."

"How do you know? Do you have the ability of foresight?"

"No, there was a case in london where the 1st prince mentioned about them, i hope you havent forgotten."

"Ah, yes."

"They are the only ones who could put pressure on the government itself. Anyways, what are you going to do about this?"

"I believe you have also said once that there are some things more important than any treasure on earth, which is why i have consulted with president tramp about this and this is the result."

"I see. Its sad news indeed, since i would have needed to talk to you about investigating in your own country."

"Well, cancel that thought. Your orders this time is to get out of the country now, i have already arranged you a flight back to the philippines."

"Thank you for your concern mr prime minister, but we--"

"This is an order josh!"

"Dont you know what i can really do?"

"No, but do you intend to destroy australia while doing it?"

"What do you mean?"

"You dont know the true horror of the illuminati yet josh, dont push it."

"True horror? I have already been granted these powers to fight against men like them! Just how--"

"Just get out of here, before i change my mind." The prime minister said before he cut the line

"Girls, i think we have a problem in our hands." Josh

"Its a problem that we cant take on right? So why try?" Sheryl

"Yes, you just said the illuminati right? We shouldnt mess what we cant fight with." Eliza said as the girls agree

"What just happened?" Trina said as she just woke up

Josh then explained what the prime minister said

"I say we fight." Trina

"though it might destroy australia in the process, not only physically, but financially." Sheryl

"Oh, its that bad huh." Trina said as the girls agree. "Then we should just head home now as the prime minister said."

"Humans always go with the norm, as it is in their nature. To do something new is rare, to do something reckless is not always an option." Josh

"True, since this is real life we are talking about." Sara

"Hahh.. alright then, we should go home now. We still have children to take care of anyways." Josh said smiling to the girls

"There are some things more important than all the treasures in the world." Bushra said as the girls smiles as well

They then took the flight back towards manila, philippines after their stay at the hotel. But when they got back, they were taken instead to the malacanang.

"Hi josh, im very sorry to take your time this early morning." Dutuer

They were now inside dutuers office where josh had eliza and sara sit on the chairs while the rest are standing

"What is it mr president, that you had to take us from the airport?" Josh

"I know what became of you in your trip to australia, president tramp saw it to report to me anyways." Dutuer

"Was it you who suggested to bring us back?" Eliza

"Yes, due to many reasons, including political." Dutuer

"I see." Josh and the others were all relieved of the fact

"Anyways, i want a full report on what really happened there." Dutuer

"Alright then." Josh said before giving out a full report on waht really happened including the conversation with the prime minister.

"I see. So you werent granted as many powers as believed, thats good." Dutuer

"Why are you relieved about that? There might be enemies which might be stronger than josh in the future." Sara

"True, but im only relieved that hes isnt made perfect as we all thought he is." Dutuer

"We are already perfect in Gods eyes mr president, imperfection IS perfection." Josh

"Yes, i know. Though this is also a problem. Josh, does anyone else know about this?" Dutuer

"Just the guide in australia." Trina

"Good. We should keep it that way. Hes already powerful enough, since he is the worlds last line of defence." Dutuer

"Yes, the last line of defence against terrorism." Bushra

"But as things stand, there is absolutely no chance for the world to balance itself at this rate!" Josh said with frustration

"I know your frustrated, we all are, but there is nothing we can do. To fight the illuminati is to destroy the current system that us humans have made." Dutuer

"But i have a mission--" josh

"And i have a responsibility to also keep my citizens safe from any harm. Besides, as the one who will bring balance to this world, you also have a responsibility somewhere right?" Dutuer

"Yeah, i even dumped my ex boyfriend just to be with you josh." Sheryl

"We all have made sacrifices along the way just so we could be there for you josh, dont just become a villain." Sara

"I agree. To fight them and destroy the current system would mean that you would become a villain." Lucy

"Tch! I didnt even think human sin would have been this deep to start with." Josh

"Well, the easiest solution is always to destroy right? And as you said, there are nobshortcuts in life." Lucy

"Hahh.. fine, i guess i shall just abide for now." Josh

"About that josh, i have a suggestion." Dutuer

"What is it sir?" Josh

"You guys quit being a mercenary team for the government." Dutuer

"What?!" They all said

"Why sir?" Trina

"I have heard from the US military, your all expecting a baby soon right?" Dutuer

"The operation eagle eye, should have known." Eliza

"Yes, though there is already a plan in place for this." Josh

"As the enemy is too big for you guys to match on your own, which is why i suggest for you to just lay low for now." Dutuer

"Hes maybe right josh, the enemy we are fighting is just too big on our own. Like you also said, humans arent easy to change the norm." Sheryl

"Hahh.. fine. Though i will just do one thing first." Josh

"And whats that?--" dutuer said before he felt cold in the room. "Just what did you do?!"

"Just my ability, calling of the souls." Josh said while they face the ceiling. "Souls of ancient and present, please hear my head."

With the calling of souls, he can call on all the souls in an area for communication.

"What are you going to do josh?" Sheryl said as many balls of light appeared at the ceiling

"Just watch. dont worry, i wont do anything rash." Josh said before he faces the balls of light.

"What is it young chosen one?" The souls said

"Please warn other souls around the world that from now on, you guys shall hide yourselves and never be seen among humans, or else they shall devour you." Josh

"You have our word, though it shall also depend on other souls as well to heed thy warnings." The souls said

"Thats alright, as long as they have been warned." Josh said before the souls dispursed

"What was that about josh? For a minute, it felt like freezing cold even through the hot weather outside." Dutuer

"Like i said, i just called on all the souls in this area to warn them." Josh

"So thats your warning to the souls? Why?" Dutuer

"You see, when a soul warrior eats any soul, whether it be human or animal, they can gain powers from it specially when its a heros soul. But there is a difference between the two souls." Eliza

"With an animal soul, one can get power little by little. But with a human or heros soul, they can get power faster, though human or heros soul has a conscience." Sara

"So it will take a while before that soul will be used?" Dutuer

"No, it will depend on that soul if you are worthy of such powers. If not, then they will never appear no matter what anyone does." Trina

"Whats more, souls cant be catched through regular means." Lucy

"So why wont souls just go up to heaven and meet god?" Dutuer

"Thats what religion teaches you, but the reality is that earth is purgatory for all souls, Hell is earths core, and heaven is in space." Josh

"Like what?! Just how on earth would you know so much about souls josh?" Dutuer

"Because it is the souls themselves who has enlightened me, and me to them." Josh said referring to the girls

"So, you guys have no religion at all right?" Dutuer

"Our religion is still the same, but with spirituality in the mix, and some of the souls wisdom." Josh

"Which is why if you just cling on to religion and not be open minded, at least you wont be accepted by the souls." Bushra

"I see. Anyways, why do you say that hell is in the earths core, purgatory is on earth, and heaven is in space?" Dutuer

"This is going sound a bit of science sir, do you still wish to hear?" Josh

"Yes. If the australian prime minister can understand you, so can i." Dutuer said with confidence

"Alright then." Josh said before he looks at sheryl

"Oh, ok. Based from josh teachings, there is no other description of heaven right? Aside from it being high in the clouds. So what other place on or out of earth can store heaven and all its magnificence? Aside from space." Sheryl

"And hell is on the earths core due to 2 reasons, its the only place on earth thats very hot as hell, and it will help put distance between earth, sun, and the other planets. This is also due to the energy from the quantum which is responsible for all the universe and the soul." Trina

"And where else is in between heaven and hell, its on earth. Purgatory isnt like another dimension, its here on earth, where the souls of the dead can still roam around." Bushra

"Oh, i understood all that. But why is hell on earths core?" Dutuer

"Like we said sir, it will help with putting up distance between earth, sun, and other planets." Sara

"You also have to ask yourself this, in examples of einsteins theory, we use a trampoline and a couple of balls. If by that example, the gravity of the heaviest object at the center would also attract the other balls around it." Eliza

"If gravity is the only one responsible for all the planets not crashing into the sun, then many are wrong." Lucy

"There is still some kind of force which manages all of life in balance aside from all the fundamental forces in science, which science itself may never be able to find proof, and thats the energy within the quantum itself." Josh

"You also have to ask yourself, if gravity is the one holding all the atoms in place, if humans are made out of atoms, why and how can we even walk?" Lucy

"Ugh.. your all making my head hurt. Anyways, in short, heaven is in space, purgatory is on earth, and hell is on earths core." Dutuer

"Right." All of them agreed

"Sure, we will attend. Though our flight back was to be held tomorrow, what will you do about it?" Josh

"ah, nevermind. Their awards ceremony will be tomorrow at noon anyways, so you guys would have little time to meet.” dutuer

“when will they arrive here in manila?” eliza

“by tomorrow morning I believe.” dutuer

“josh, depending on the time, we might still be able to meet them.” sara

“yes, I think so. But it might be a very close and small window, so I would recommend not to meet them.” josh said as the girls were in agreement

“oh well.” sheryl said with a gesture as they agree

“anyways, would that be all sir?” josh

“yes, that will be all. Remember, I would now abolish your role as the world militarys mercenary. Rest assured, I will personally protect you while I still stay in power.” dutuer

“yeah, but you also said that you wont be running again after your term.” sheryl

“yes, its because of all the crap the people would always give me that I don’t want to run for another term. Don’t worry, once you guys are now out of the picture, you guys will live a peaceful life in tanghub.” dutuer

“ok, though will we really safe there?” sara

“yes, I assure you. Between you and me, I even hear that the illuminati even has plunged its claws in this country. So if you guys will behave, they all wont do anything rash.” dutuer

After that, josh and the girls went to book a hotel for the night, and gone back to tanghub in the morning to go about their new ordinary lives.

Sheryl then waves at the crowd as she enters the stage and sits on the chair beside holly.

"Just fine, as usual." Sheryl

"Well, thats good. But how is life being one of the wives of josh mavric? I hear he is retired from service." Holly

"Yes, hes retired. But there are still times other military and governments around the world still try to contact him to do some work"

"So this makes him what?"

"This doesnt make him anything. Of course, all of us would pitch in from any request to decline it ourselves, as those old geezers are persistent in forcing josh back."

"I see. So how is life being one of the wives of josh mavric? I think that philippine law doesnt account for any polygamous marriages?"

"Yes, except for muslims. So we all had a choice between switching to muslim or just not do any wedding."

"What did you choose?"

"No wedding. We can always handle oursleves even if without registration, since marriages are just ceremonies right? And partly also to list up people in the community."

"Yes, each of us has over 2 children each."

"For privacy reasons, we arent obliged to reveal their names in public, they arent even TV stars."

"Being a soul warrior should have been just a priveledge, but nowadays, it has spread like wildfire."

"I can see that, josh mavric did also teach you the ways of the soul warrior."

"Yes, and because of that, i saw light in what he is really doing. In the past, i have always questioned on why does he do this and that. With great power comes with great responsibility and sacrifice, with his teachings, i have already seen many people change or bear resemblance with those teachings."

"I see. With great power comes with great responsibility huh, makes me think that others are just using their powers for their own convenience."

"Yes, its really true that this is an old saying, but ignorance is truly bliss. Which makes me think that we shouldnt forget the old ways while doing with the new ways."

"Yes. Since a new wave is coming to us, the new generation of children, we all need new teachings while staying with some of the old."

“oh, no. Due to financial reasons, we all agree to let it stay up to 2.”

“but how does josh, you know, handle with frustrations?”

“well, he handles it mostly by working and playing with the kids. Sometimes,even watching anime with the kids as well.”

“he has really made us all happy and handled all situations accordingly and timely. In short, he sets schedules for everything.”

“thats a working man for you. In any case, off to the next topic. As being a soul warrior is rampant nowadays, what do you think of everything? I mean, a lot of heroes are also born from all this chaos--”

“and also even more villains.”

“yes, that. So, what do you think?”

“with the rising population of soul warriors, or heroes, its only natural that they do everything in their power to save people.”

“though about 10 years ago, while josh was still the only hero in the world, the world leaders even made a law about soul warriors. That whoever is caught using their powers without a permit will be sentenced to how many years in jail, and trialed in any international court around the world.”

“yes,we were even invited to it reluctantly.”

“haha.. so how did the law push through?”

“the law was pushed through with the help of josh expert opinion and with president dutuer.”

“And how did president dutuer help with pushing that law into action?”

“havent you remembered the news in the past? Where he was even recognized as a strongman? He just used his position to help convince other strongmen as well.”

“i see. So what was josh take on the new law again?”

“well, for one,he supported the law. He did apply the license along with us, but we just didn’t have any use of it, even until now.”

“well, yes. Using your powers will only burn energy, thus making you hungry right?”

“at some point, yes, and depends on the output on how much one is using it.”

“yes, very true. And its also true that the world is slowly getting into balance itself through all the chaos made by him--”

“its really not josh that made all that mess, its the illuminati.”

“haha, but the illuminati is just a rumor, how can that be really true?”

“trust me, they are real and hiding under the shadows of the government. We know its true colors, but we just wont fight them.”

“why? If they were the cause of all the mess, wont fighting them be the best option?”

“at the moment, yes. But if we do that, or josh does that, the whole system that us humans have built over the years might crumble.”

“its better if we don’t talk about it here, and not ever think about it holly. For our sakes.”

“o-oh, okay. Then to the next topic, how can one become a soul warrior?”

“naturally, being a soul warrior would demand some training in using their powers and in getting them. But nowadays, any guy with enough money can activate themselves into a soul warrior with no effort, though the way they use their powers are still amateurs.”

“like owning a gun license right?”

“yes, like that.”

“so, on to the next topic, science. It is said that geneticists has found the missing piece of the puzzle, that in our genes holds the answer to how one becomes a soul warrior, is that true?”

“according to josh, yes. There is still a lot that we cant answer about our genes, specially with the deepest parts of our brain. Which is why by them imitating what they did with josh, they stimulate both the brain and the genes, they can make a soul warrior.”

“i see. But do you see any difference?”

“difference in what?”

“difference between genetically enhanced soul warriors and regular soul warriors.”

“i don’t exactly know. Though genetically activated soul warriors do tend to become physically like animals themselves, while naturally activated soul warriors tend to still be human.”

“yes, but do you see any other difference in any other way?”

“nope, none. I also asked josh about that when it was found about 5 years ago and he doesnt also know himself. Just that if one alters the dna to achieve a result, the body will also follow with the changes making unexpected results. Unlike if the brain will rewire the entire thing.”

“thats really what he said?”

“yes, the guy loves both anime and science, what you expect.”

"I see. So why didnt he make a lab while he was at it?"

"Only because he knows that even if he makes a lab just for the advancement of humanity and progress, there will always be evil people who will seek to misuse such innovations."

"But do you think that he can make innovations for society?"

"Yes, i believe so. Since hes also got the souls of einstein and tesla."

"Like the illuminati for example, or other corporations willing to dirty their hands just to get such innovations."

"Yes, the anti human experimentation law which is passed by law to never have anyone become a guiniepig for any experimentation unless if its by their volition, and signed under a contract with some insurance. Also the law in preventing hunting of too many animals, since that woukd only lead to them wanting something more than the animal itself."

“i see. On to the next topic, about climate change, can soul warriors do something about it with their powers?”

“nope, not a chance. You already know about the american incident right? Those were the elementals, the soul of earth itself trying to correct mans errors.”

“like wow, this is the first time we have heard about this! Is that still according to josh?”

“yes.”

“so is it really true that the elementals is the soul of earth herself?”

“probably, since josh said it, it must be.”

“hmm.. alright then, back to the topic, can a soul warrior change climate change?”

“nope, they can only help clean the environment only to let it be dirtied again.”

“just like that. There are no shortcuts in life you know.”

“a-alright then. What about wars? Will these powers help--”

“nope, it will only hasten wars. Since most wars are due to belief of a person, and sometimes through sin.”

“say, what is your religion by the way?”

“i was an athiest in the past, but now, I wont say. Part of the things we agreed never to say in public.”

”because, it will just create more public chaos. And people will just hate us for it.”

“i see. Anyways, its now time for the end of the show, see you again in the next show!”

Thus they ended the program.

"Eliza? Sara? Sheryl? Lucy? Trina? Bushra? Where are you?"

Josh was now standing in total darkness and him also being slowly swallowed by it

"Who are you?! I would have you know that--" josh

"We dont care! As long as you die!" Said the evil face that appeared in front of him

"Rraaahhhh!" Josh screamed as he fights the darkness from taking everything of him

Then he wakes up, back at their home.

"Whoa, a nightmare. Where are the girls again?" Josh said yawning at his bed

As josh woke up, he finds the bed all to himself, before he stood up and goes down the stairs

"I heard you scream again, this is probably the 5th time this happened in a month dear." Bushra said by the stairs being concerned

Bushra was wearing casual wear and and apron by then

"Yes, again with the nightmare. But at least i got proper amounts of sleep." Josh said as he kissed her

"Morning too dear, breakfast is ready and the kids has all gone to school." Bushra

"I see." Josh said before they both go to the kitchen

They were now at the dinner table and eating breakfast

"Its tea for me bushra, not coffee." Josh said as bushra prepares his drink

"Oh, i thought you might need an extra boost for the day, because of the nightmare." Bushra

"I will manage. Anyways, how is everything here?" Josh said as he was eating

"Well, there are times i get lonely. but like you, i get over it by going to work at the mall, helping lucy with all the work needed." Bushra said as she sat

"You should also come over at the hospital to help with trina." Josh

"I will try. You know im not good at medical stuff." Bushra

"I mean at least with the paperwork. Anyways, how is sara doing?" Josh

"Shes doing fine, even though shes busy with paperwork and manegerial duties most of the time. She said that she always manages it by scheduling, just like what you do." Bushra

"I see, thats good. What about trina? Do you know?" Josh

"Shes all good, she said. Paperwork here and there, and also doing some managerial stuff while at it. Though shes also learning scheduling as per your advice to her." Bushra

"Yes, she must try scheduling so that it wont strain her too much. Its a small hospital that i built for her." Josh

"And she says shes thanksful for that, since its unlike in big hospitals where its all chaos." Bushra

"What about lucy? How is she?" Josh

"Shes doing fine with her designing career. Shes now even designing more stuff aside from clothes, such as chairs and tables." Bushra

"Thats good, so how is her clientell nowadays?" Josh

"All good. She said she has enough clients to keep herself busy." Bushra

"How about sheryl? She also did an interview the last time i saw her." Josh

"Shes scheduled to come back today, dont worry. I believe shes now reporting for CNN philippines and is stationed in cebu." Bushra

"A powerhouse reporter just came to cebu, so they will now have a lot to fear for. Haha!" Josh

"Josh, i know you mean well, but when she hears that--" bushra

"I know. But its the truth, the mayor even pleaded to me personally at one time, to not let her be posted in cebu. Im just proud of her." Josh

"Yes, after what happened to you in cebu, they finally have the medicine they deserve." Bushra

"Yeah, those people whom i call comrades at one time, just did voodoo upon me. Then added with the us military trying to kick me out of the company with their operation eagle eye, talk about overkill." Josh

"Are you still angry with them by the way, with your comrades?" Bushra

"I even considered them as friends at one time, so i wont ever forgive them at all, even if it was an order or something. Specially with the US military, for being overkill with me." Josh

"But they might be regretting right now--" bushra

"Nope, they arent. For a total stranger like me, who just saved their american butts, they arent regretful enough. All because of their pride. I mean, they have a history and culture of xenophobia." Josh

"A-anyways, i guess they might be regretful in a way, for messing with the wrong person." Bushra

"You bet that right. Well, i have been off track from our original convo. How is eliza now?" Josh

"Eliza is off helping sara with her work as well, though she takes care of the socializing part and going to other parts of the philippines for business." Bushra

"I see, thats good. She did want to travel all the time." Josh

"Yes, and between you and me, sara and eliza visits their family sometimes." Bushra

"Well, i wont argue with that, but how do they get there to their countries?" Josh

"They both book a flight and say they just have a business engagement to their clients and employees." Bushra

"Wont they tell me anything?" Josh

"I guess they dont want to burden you with anything, so they also tell you that they will be gone on a business trip for a couple of days." Bushra

"I wont get mad at them for it though, they could have just told me." Josh

"Dont get mad at them josh, they are just visiting their families." Bushra

"No worries there, i would even permit you to visit you family once in a while bushra." Josh

"Thanks josh."

"So, what about you bushra? What will you do today? And when will eliza get back here from work?" Josh

"Eliza will come back here by tomorrow i think. And i have a parent teacher meeting for all our children this afternoon." Bushra

"Thats good." Josh

"What about you josh? Whats your schedule for today?" Bushra

"I was supposed to help with inspection today at the mall, but sara said she can handle it by herself for today. And trina said shes got all the paperwork under control for now, so im free for the day." Josh

"You should also come with me josh, the kids would love it if their father is able to attend the parent teacher meeting like always." Bushra

"I have the feeling that you girls staged this everytime, though it doesnt matter." Josh said smiling as he sips his tea

"Yes, you do enjoy being with your kids and all, am i right?" Bushra

"Hmm.. yeah, i do." Josh said with a smile

"Alright, i will go first. You just catch up when you can, alright josh?" Bushra said as she stood up and picks up her purse

"Sure." Josh
