Chapter 7

Outside of CERN, police and the military has now surrounded the facility in hopes that they can negotiate with the terrorists. The front was well guarded as well as the back which made infiltration nearly impossible.

“how do we propose to do this? Should we abide by their rule?”

“yes. we all have no choice or else we die.” Rod

“so how do you propose we make the bomb?”

“the theory is just simple—“ rod

“hey sir rod! your seriously giving them what they want?!” rods bodyguard

“yes. I have no choice or else the scientists here are all dead meat.” Rod

“rod.. you care for people that much?”

“I don’t want to comment on that..” rod scratches his head

“come on people! Work!” one of the terrorist threatened before he goes back to his post

“o-okay.” they said as they now got to their feet

“okay guys. The theory is just simple. Do you guys know how to build a miniaturized particle accelerator?” rod

“yes. if our math is correct.”

“okay then. I will also assist in building the machine with you guys. Stephen, please also help me build.”

“yes sir.”

Based on the calculation of the scientists, they proved that a mini particle accelerator was possible only with the help of project iron heart. So they then got to work with constructing the mini particle accelerator.

“guys, how about we call this new invention mini pac or MPA?” rod

“ughh.. we even tried to avoid the naming part.”

“what? Do you guys not like names?” rod

“its not like that. Its just making names for inventions is the hardest part.”

“some of us just wanted to call it mini particle accelerator”

“while some would call it otherwise.”

“alright then, let rod do the naming for us.” Jene

“o-okay then.”

“hmm.. I might go with mini pac.. cause it’s a bit cute.” Rod said with a gesture

“hahh.. okay..” the scientists sighed

“mini pac it is.” jene

“alright people, are you done with your science stuff?” one of the terrorists got near them again

“y-yes sir. We are now working on it.”

the scientists and rod then scrambled to build the mini pac. rod and Stephen helps build the mini pac while the other scientists then builds the iron heart for the mini pac.

up in the skies of geneva, the origami has arrived on top of CERN.

“were very sorry to report to you of this crisis miss Sheryl.” The genevan president

“no worries mr president. Its always the wife’s duty to save the husband when they are in a pinch.” Sheryl

“whew.. bold statement there Sheryl.” Stacey

“s-shutup.” Sheryl said blushing

“though we are also in the position here that would like to save our husband.”

“sorry girls, if it wasn’t for me saying for him to go—“ Sheryl

“what are you talking about? This incident was unforeseen so don’t be too hard on yourself.” Yukiko

“we will also keep it a secret from all our parents. Like gosh.. handling them when they are very pissed off is like walking to a bull fight.” Maria

The girls smiled.

“haha. Your right about that. Though lets now focus on the task at hand.” Sheryl

“what is now the current situation on the ground sir?” flores

“currently, the ground forces are doing their best to negotiate with the terrorists in handing over the scientists.” President

“I see. Which means that they are now stuck there without any means of food or drink?” kaori

“like yes they are.” Stacey said with and annoyed face

Kaori then reclined like a snail going back to its shell almost crying

“don’t bully her Stacey.” Flores

“what? Im only stating the obvious.” Stacey

“so which means now that we will just wait.” Yukiko

“yes, that’s right.” president

“assault team, ready for sortie now. Wait for my signal to dispatch.” Sheryl

“yes maam!”

“I hope your alright rod.” Sheryl

Inside the lab, they were working as fast as they can on the mini pac.

“sir, we only have until tonight for our ammo to last.”

“hmm.. stall them outside for a little while longer. Perfection cant always be done in mere seconds as most of the time, its done in hours or minutes.”

“alright sir. We will try to hold out.”

Hasif then stood from his chair from looking at the scientists at work and pick up his rifle

“are you guys done yet?!”

“please wait a little more sir.”

“I want it done by tonight or else.”

“y-yes sir.”

“good.”

Rod was looking behind him where the scientist was nervous when talking to hasif

“we have to hurry with the machine” rod

“yes we will. But this would require precision.” Jene

“and this machine is also still untested which makes it more dangerous.”

“we have no choice on the matter guys.” Rod

“we have. Me and the guys are now planning to get us out of here.” jene

“how?” Stephen said while working beside rod

“one of us must distract some of them while the others escape.” Jene

“but that would be suicide don’t you think?”

“yes. but we are willing to make that sacrifice for the greater good.” jene

“im totally not sure about that plan and I don’t plan to comment on that.” Rod

“perfect answer. The plan will commence right after we finish the project. And since you also saved my mother from being trapped in that zombie infested place” Jene

“really?” Stephen

“yes. he and his team rescued my mother from my home town which was now infested with zombies.”

“okay then.” they all agreed to the plan where the other scientists were also relayed of the plan

“sir, theyre really persistent in letting the hostages go. What should we do?”

“whats the time?” hasif

“its now about 30 minutes from when we took over sir.”

“good. Then its time to make demands.” hasif said as he stood up

Then at the front door where the police and the military has barricaded their way out, one of the terrorist came out of the front door with a speaker.

“my boss said he would now make his demands!”

The military then counters. “we don’t deal with terrorists. What would you have th—“

“you really don’t care about the people inside this building?”

From a few feet away, the media just arrived.

“this is Hannah bar from Geneva news channel reporting live from CERN where a hostage take out has begun. Here you will see the military and the police all working together to resolve the situation. From the last few months of terror from zombies now comes a hostage taking..” they then zoomed in to the front door where the terrorist was talking

From the front door, the terrorist then pulled out a hostage where he also shot him at the head. The camera then tries to zoom out on what happened and back to the news caster where she was also shocked.

“this is a sample of what will happen to them if you don’t meet our demands!” the terrorist said

“we could just shot you there you—“

“shoot me and 10 more others will also die. We even have the famous rod mason trapped here so don’t you ever dare.”

The police and the military were arguing right behind the barricade.

“we would demand 10 million euros sent to our swiss bank account as well as a helicopter to be landed at the back of CERN. You have until tonight to give us what we want or else we would also shoot the hostages one by one on every hour. The numbers for the bank account is right behind this hostage that I killed” The terrorist continued with his demands as he threw the dead hostage

The terrorist then got back inside before the military could ever respond to their comment.

“damn it!” the military holding the speaker said

“folks, this has turned from bad to worse as the terrorist has already killed one of the hostages. We will go back to you for now.”

“did they get my message?” hasif

“yes sir. I think it went well.”

“good. Now we move to phase two of the plan.” Hasif said with a smile

Hour after hour, the terrorist would pull out a random scientist from lab.

“come here!” one of the terrorist said pulling on one of the scientists

“w-where are you taking me?”

“no ask question. You come!”

The scientist struggled but only to his dismay where many of the terrorists would now take him out.

“this is getting out of hand.” Rod said while working on the mini pac

“is it ready now rod?” jene

“yes, it is.” Rod

They then saw a machine that was intricate and circular in shape, like a donut, which has only a switch to turn it on.

“but its still untested. Should we really”

“yes, we should. Though we should also wait for a chance for the plan to work.” Jene

Then after many hours of waiting, the military finally responded outside.

“attention terrorists! We will make the demand! The money has already been delivered to your bank account and a helicopter is now on its way there. Please let the hostages go.”

After a few minutes, one of the terrorist only sticks out the speaker.

“okay then. Once the helicopter is here, we will let them go.”

On the inside of the building, hasif is still sitting in the chair waiting for the scientists to finish.

“Are they done yet?” hasif finally stood up

“let me check sir.”

One of the terrorist finally approaches the scientists who was just monitoring the other researches to pretend they were working.

“is the device done?”

“yes, it is.” Jene

Jene then hands over the mini pac to the terrorist where the terrorist then goes to hasif. But that was the signal where the scientists would now implement the plan. Jene then signaled the scientists of the go signal where each scientist who was near one of the terrorist would constrict their movements leaving the others free to run.

Rod and the others then ran towards the back door where other scientists also constrict the other terrorist that they could encounter. There behind the back door, 2 other terrorists were surprised by the sudden door opening that they didn’t have any time to counter what was next.

Other scientists then constricts the other more terrorists who was also at the back but as the terrorists also got wind of what happened, they also ran towards the back doors with guns blazing.

“you all go ahead while I stay here and defend all of you!” Stephen said as he gets his gun from his back

“lets go rod!” jene then pushes rod forward

But during their escape, when they were about to run towards the south west side of the building, jene was shot behind.

“jene!” rod stopped to look at him

“nevermind me! Go!” jene said while trying to reach his back where he was shot both in the shoulder and in the leg.

“tch!” rod then runs alone to safety

On the bridge, flores then notices a firefight at the back of the building. She zooms in to find rod accompanied by people, running.

“Sheryl! Rod is at the back with some other hostages!” flores

“assault team! Sortie and get rod out of there!” Sheryl

“yes maam!”

The assault team in their armor then sortied towards rods location and got rod. They then flew back to the origamis cargo hold.

“its good that your back sir.”

“yes, it is. But we still have a bit of a situation.”

“what is it?”

“get ready to sortie guys. This might get bumpy.”

Up in the skies, a media helicopter got the whole thing live.

“did you see that folks?! There seems to be a struggle down at the back where some hostages are trying to escape. Though it seems that only one of them got away safely and as we take a closer look..”

They then zoomed in on the rescue team

“its rod mason! Rod mason is safe! But why only rod mason? Did he abandon the others just so that he could escape by himself? Lets just see it as we rewind the footage later.”

“what?! Rod mason got away? That’s no matter at all as to what will happen next.” Hasif

“sir, we have just finished capturing and tying up the other hostages.”

“good. We don’t want them running around again don’t we?”

As that terrorist nodded, another then reported to hasif.

“sir! The helicopter is here!”

“good. We now exit this place. Men! Go by groups and take some hostages with you to the helicopter!” hasif

“yes sir!”

A helicopter was then parked at the back of the facility. Hasif and some of the terrorists then gets on the helicopter along with one hostage where the military still couldn’t do anything.

“we now got 2 hostages with us. A scientist and a pilot. Don’t you ever do anything to us or else!” hasif then speaks using as speaker when they got above the building.

But then that scientist that they held hostage struggled and fell towards the machine that hasif was holding, accidentally turning on the switch. Hasif got a hold of the machine, preventing it from falling, but was now in a hurry to find the off switch of the machine.

After a few minutes in the air with the machine, hasif then gave up and threw it out of the helicopter. It was then that the machine glowed and exploded later forming a black hole in the sky. But as the helicopter was still in range of the black hole, the helicopter just couldn’t break from the gravitational force of the hole causing the helicopter to be slowly suck in to the black hole.

The media helicopter also took notice of the black hole forming in the sky and flew a distance away from the black hole.

“folks! Do you see what im seeing right now?! is that a black hole?! What the hell did they made the scientists inside make anyway?! Will god help us now?!”

“what happened there?!” Sheryl

Rod was now with Sheryl in the bridge while rod was in his armor, ready to sortie.

“it seems that the bomb went off creating a rift in space time.” Rod

“causing a black hole to form where it will soon suck everything while expanding at an exponential rate.” Stacey

“world leaders, allow me to use project delta force now.” rod

“no! that experiment is still untested right?!”

“yes sir. But it’s the only way to close the black hole that’s now forming.” Rod

“I agree rod. It may be our only chance.” Stacey

“but still, we don’t agree.”

“why cant you all agree?! As we speak, the black hole is now expanding—“ rod

“at this rate, we wont be able to stop the black hole in less than maybe 3 minutes!” Stacey

They then saw on the monitors on the bridge that the black hole is now expanding where it has now swallowed the whole building, and now of the size of a basketball.

“we cant you just shoot at that thing?!”

“isn’t there any other way to seal off this black hole?”

“unfortunately, no. only a greater force of energy may be able to seal off the black hole.”

“alright then. I approve.” Dutuer

“what?!”

“me too. Seal off that black hole before it destroys the planet!”

“me too.”

“how about damages? How much damage will this cost?”

“think about that later man! When the earth is now at stake here!”

“okay then. Is that a yes or a no?” rod

“those who says yes, raise your hand!”

More people raised their hands

“those who says no?”

Only a few raised their hands

“majority says yes rod. Go use project delta force!”

“I hope you know what your doing son.” American president

“by theory, yes.” rod then heads towards the exit

“assault team, ready to sortie!” Sheryl

“yes maam!” assault team leaders

Rod then got to the cargo hold where all of the assault team was ready.

“men! Ready project delta force! This is gonna be tough.”

“yes sir!”

“what is seriously going on here?!” Hannah said as she hangs on to dear life

The media helicopter was now caught in the black holes gravitational force where it was slowly sucking the helicopter. But after a few more minutes, they were suddenly set free and tries to stabilize itself.

“wha-what just happened?!”

“look Hannah! Up in the sky!”

“where?” she then searched the skies.

“up there!”

“I see them! Flying men with lasers?!”

“there are more of them now.”

“let me handle the commentaries cameraman.. ehem.. now they are forming a formation to contain the black hole that’s forming right above whats left of CERN.”

At the skies around the black hole, all of the assault team formed a perimeter where they diagonally shoot lasers from the guns that they brought. Those guns were brought along when the whole rescue mission around the globe started and has not yet been unloaded when they got back.

“sir! The containment field is now stable!”

“alright!” rod then faced the origami “origami, fire particle cannon now!”

Just above the clouds, the orginami then descends and opening right on its upper belly, a big gun was pointed at the black hole

“roger. charging particle laser cannon now.” yukiko

“aiming cannon at black hole.” Flores said with her hands on the trigger

“brace yourself guys! Make sure you don’t lose your position!” rod

“roger!” all of the assault team

“charging complete.” Yukiko

“firing now!” flores said as she pulled the trigger

With maria, kaori, Stacey, and Sheryl now hoping on the bridge for the operation to be a success, with a loud noise, the particle laser cannon fired diagonally at a diameter 2 times greater than the diameter of the black hole.

On the media helicopter.
“whats this bright light were seeing here?! Its just like a giant laser! does mankinds hope rest on the outcome of this operation?!”

“hang in there guys!” rod said as the burst of energy from the blast created a burst of hot wind trying to sway them away from position.

The ground troops were also blown away by the blast as a lot of hot air blew towards them, sending them backwards. Tanks and cars were also affected as they were also being blown away by the blast.

“flores! Stay on position!” Sheryl said as they were all seeing their respective monitors

“im trying.” flores

“The output of the cannon is a bit pushing the origami upwards.” Yukiko

“try to sail the ship that it wont rock upwards!” Sheryl

“I will try!” yukiko

“all hands! Prepare for impact! Or some extra movement to the ship! And don’t get yourselves injured in there!” Stacey said to the crew

“kaori, hang on tight there!” Sheryl said as they both were holding on to the strategy table

“yes I will.”

“whats happening now? we cant see..”

“we cant see that clear either. Please just hope for the best on this mission.” Maria said to the world leaders as she was also holding on to her chair

At the pentagon.

“what the hell is happening there now?! cant you get a fix on the feed?” general

“we cant sir! The energy is too strong for us to see whats happening down there.”

“before, we could only see a black dot there through our satellites. Now we only see a bright light. Cant somebody get a fix on this thing?!”

“no sir!”

“damn it!”

At the hospital in rods home town.

“what is that?!” Hillary

“we are now live to bring you live coverage over at Geneva where rod mason is now trying to what seems as destroy the black hole that has formed around whats left of CERN. Before, there was just a hostage taking at the facility but now, it turned into hell! What the hell would happen if this mission wouldn’t be a success?”

“this mission must be a success for the human race, or the earth, to still be in one piece. Right now, they are trying to contain the situation by closing the black hole.”

“im now afraid of what might happen to our son right now.” henry said as they were watching the news

“lets all just hope for the best as they give it their all in there.” Patricia

“lets all believe in them.” Hillary

“before, our son was held hostage but now.. the series of events are really turning bad to worse.” Henry

“yes. for now, let us pray for their safety.” Hillary

“whats the status on the black hole flores?!” Sheryl said as she is still hanging on to the table

“its somewhat closing but I might still need more time with this!” flores

“energy levels are now at 80%” yukiko

“can it still hold out?” Sheryl

“maybe.. will try..” flores said as she is struggling to keep the laser steady

“guys, whatever you do, don’t get hit by the giant laser! relay the message please!” rod

“yes sir!”

Those far from rod got static from the transmission which was why rod ordered to relay orders around the team. With that, the formation often wobbles as they all try to contain the black hole making it as small as possible.

With the magnetic waves around the lasers, it managed to contain the expansion of the black hole and containing its gravitational force as well. with the big laser as well, by firing more energy into the small black hole might be possible to further negate or close it. Since black holes are is also a form of energy which is a rift between space, time and reality where it consumes every particle it comes across.

With their formation, they also slowly lift up their laser guns to also lift up what remains of the black hole further decreasing its size and dimension.

“guys! The limit is just below the feet alright. Just aim the lasers at some distance from the feet.” Rod said as he steadies his laser gun

“yes sir!”

After a few minutes, At the bridge where they were still hanging on.

“power at 20%!” yukiko said while also hanging on to her chair

“flores! Whats the status!” Sheryl

“energy readings from the black hole is steadily decreasing! Just a little bit more!”

“power now at 10%!” yukiko

“change the batteries now! we have less than 10 seconds!” Sheryl

Then the giant laser ceased firing exposing the now very small black hole.

“guys! Don’t ever shoot at the black hole! It will just either absorb or repel our lasers!” rod

But before he could relay the order, there was still static on the comms, where there were already others who aimed at the black hole. This had the lasers bend heading straight towards some of the other members and some at the sky and some down below. Even the media helicopter was almost shot by the lasers. With that, some of them turned off the lasers while some still aimed just right below the foot of the member opposite to them.

“guys, relay the orders now!”

“yes sir!”

“we must stay vigilant as its not over yet.”

On the pentagon.

“whew. They have done it! it shrank!” the general

“though it left a big hole on the ground but who cares!”

“whats the depth of that hole?”

“about 5,000 feet under sir.”

“good Lord. After this, that project is so going to the trash can.”

“but it can also help us with digging.”

“even still, under the wrong hands, it will serve as a weapon.”

“folks! You see that?! The black hole is now smaller thanks to the efforts of rod and his team!”

The reporter and the cameraman celebrated as the people on the ground all came out of injured while some have burns from the hot wind from the blast.

“this is rod to origami, come in.” rod said while still aiming the lasers now with all of the assault team.

There was still static on the comms

“are you guys alright?! are you hurt?!”

“sir, some of us seems to have burns but we manage to avoid the lasers.”

“alright then.”

While at the bridge, Stacey was commanding the crew.

“is the cannon already replenished?”

“yes maam! We have already changed the batteries of the cannon where it should now be ready to fire again.”

Stacey then nodded at sheryl

“alright. commence charging sequence now!” Sheryl

“commencing charging now.” Yukiko

After a few seconds of containment, the black hole was now steadily gaining more mass again.

“this is rod to origami, do you read?”

“yes rod, finally comms are back.” maria

“whats the status of the cannon?”

“its now fully charged and ready to fire.” Yukiko

“alright then. Fire at will! One last spurt guys!”

“yes sir!” all the crew and the assault team responded

“yes rod.” the girls responded

“steering the origami to the right angle.” yukiko

“fire!” Sheryl said at the bridge

“firing now.” Flores then pulled the trigger once more for one final blast.

“whats the status now flores.” Sheryl

“its now getting smaller. Just a bit more and we can fully seal it.” flores

By hearing this, the girls were relieved. With the world now watching as they close off the mini black hole, rods team gave one last spurt. Then after a few more minutes, the black hole finally closed itself.

“energy readings are now zero! We did it!” flores said as she slowly lets go of the trigger

“energy is still at 50% more. But we did it!” yukiko

“we did it you all! yahoo!” Sheryl said to the world leaders as they all celebrated the outcome.

With the giant laser fire gone, rod then signals the team to go back to the origami where a celebration with the crew was waiting.

“this is rod to the origami. Please prepare the med bay.”

“roger that.” Kaori said as she then heads towards the med bay to prepare all the first aid kits.

“you see that folks?! The black hole is gone! The earth is saved!” the media in the helicopter now celebrated along with the ground troops. The world leaders and the pentagon and the world now celebrated this victory.

As rod and his team arrived at the origami, most of the team all got third degree burns from getting too close to the laser fire where even taking off the armor seemed like a painful task. Their backpacks were also almost burned from overheat as well as their laser guns.

“good work team. When we get back, there will be a fiest!” rod said as shows kaori the burns in his left arm.

“please hold still as I apply first aid on you.” Kaori said as she was treating rod first.

“sure. I will try.” He said as he holds out from the pain.

“sir rod, bridge wants you there now.” One of the crew said when he found rod in the cargo hold

“okay. I will be there. Lets go kaori.”

“okay rod.”

At the bridge.

“you have certainly outdone yourself boy! You did it!”dutuer

“yes sir.. ow..” rod said on his chair while he was being treated by kaori

“radicalism has totally gone too far!”

“we should just destroy all of them right now!”

“wait! Your just going to destroy the entire continent filled with centuries of history?”

“yes, whats wrong with that?!”

“you really want a war presidents?!”

“stop! The fault here is with the terrorists and not the religion itself. Though I will leave you guys to decide what to do, please no wars.” Rod

“hes right. we shouldn’t be hasty in going to war. We can always talk about this peacefully.”

There were then a lot of murmurs from the world leaders, both negative and positive.

“sir rod, take a look at this.” Camellia approached rod with her phone to view a live feed

The live feed was the same as with before, a masked man claiming to be the representative of hackers.

“hello there ladies and gentlemen! And welcome to my show!”

“world leaders! Please pay attention now to your smartphones as the guy from before is back!” rod said breaking them from their murmurs

“I do thank you rod mason, for destroying or closing that black hole or else it would have been the end for us all. to tell you the truth, that wasn’t part of the plan at all.” the masked man

“what plan?” one of the world leaders

“hes got to be joking.”

“at a time like this?”

“according to my sponsors, they are willing to leave you and your family alone in exchange for saving them. Though now we would be very sorry if anyone would get caught in the next phase of our plan.”

There was then a phone call from the masked mans phone.

“hello. Hold on I will put you also on speaker.”

“what the hell is this! This was never part of the plan!”

“no its not, we revised it.”

“we?!” everyone said

“my sponsor, abu sahim, would like to thank the mafia in all their efforts in amassing so much money just for us. Now its time for us to play our part.” The masked man

“wait! Are you now going to the last phase on your own?! Were not ready yet!”

“ready? You were always part of the plan. Now with a flip of a switch, we will now transit to everyone on earth one nasty sound which will all render you all obedient to us.”

“crap!” then rod catches up with their idea.

“I get you on that rod! everyone! Put on your iron helmets!” stacey

“damn it! they are using the satellites to hypnotize all of mankind!” rod

“and to this, we owe thanks to rod mason for this second life.. in which we will now rule over.”

With that, every privately owned satellite then transmitted signals towards earth making all creatures hear their hypnotism. From land, sea, and air, all creatures were not safe from the transmission.

“ughh! This is a bit more tougher than the last one.” Rod said as he heads towards the cargo hold to get an iron helmet.

As a former hypnotized being, he struggled against all the hypnotism that was being put into his brain. Until he made it to the cargo hold that he finally got hold of an iron helmet and where some of the assault team were already put under the hypnotism. With this, rod was free from hearing the hypnotism from the satellites and where he then puts on the helmets for all the assault team who was still able to move.

As the assault team were all hypnotized, rod now with his armor on, slaps at each helmet making them all snap out of the hypnotism. With that, before they all would fall deep under the hypnotism spell, they were all set free.

As rod had no time to spare, with 5 helmets with him, he then goes to the bridge where there lies the 5 girls who were affected by the hypnotism. By doing the same thing with the assault team, he eventually woke them all up.

“whoa.. what happened.” Maria

“glad your all alright. now contact the world leaders if they are all alright.” rod

“sure.”

But as they try to contact the world leaders, all of them just didn’t answer.

“nothing rod.” maria

“damn it.”

“and since there is no one left to hear this, might as well say the entire plan. Haha. My sponsor would now like to thank all the people in the world for their kind donations to the mafia where they were willing to fund us with this plan of ours.”

“shut up! The sponsor can still hear you!” a voice from the background

“no matter, since they are all now frozen solid by our hypnotism. And with that, they planted their own agents into private companies to infiltrate their satellites. And with the kind donation from the people of geneva, all that money was they transferred to many dummy bank accounts where it would serve as our end of the deal with the mafia and their services.”

“so that was their plan.” Flores said as she got up from a very terrible head ache.

“guys, how do you suppose we should stop them now?” yukiko

“if only we could just destroy the satellites that did this.” Kaori

“that’s it!” rod and Stacey said

“we could just destroy the satellites rather than hack into it and reprogram it.”

“but how?” kaori

“with our latest innovation. Origami, set a course back home so that we can pick up the Excalibur project.” Rod

“okay rod. but wont they know by then of our whereabouts if ever we move?” Sheryl

“no matter. We will arrive there within a few minutes at our top speed and without any air control to stop us.” Rod

“and so that we also can pick up our families right?” Sheryl

“yes, that’s the plan.”

“okay then rod. we got no other choice on this anyway.” Yukiko said as she sets a course for rods home town

“whoa.. the origami just moved..” the masked man said as he was still live

“hah! no matter what they would do, there is no stopping us anymore from ruling the earth!” the voice on the background again

Then the live feed was cut.

After 45 minutes, they arrived back to the Philippines to get june and their family first to the origami. Then they pick up project Excalibur from their underground port before they resurfaced and headed out again back to the skies.

“where are we now?” rod said sitting in his chair

“were now right above the stratosphere.” Flores

“okay. Ignite the afterburners now. we must get higher to deliver project Excalibur into space.” Sheryl

“roger that. Igniting afterburners.” Yukiko

Outside the origami, at the center of each rotating fan, there ignites the afterburners for their ascension. Then after a few more minutes, they now reached the proper altitude to dispatch the excalibur.

"well then, let me go now to destroy those satellites." rod said as he stood

"hold on there. Just where are you going?" sheryl

"to the excalibur."

"no. This time, you stay and heal your wounds. This now calls for them." stacey

"them?" kaori said as she just finished patching rod in his arms

"the unit that we trained for this just in case if they wont ever approve of this project." flores

"hahh.. Okay then. I hope that they can do their jobs well." rod said reluctantly while returning to his seat

The girls then agreed to the plan as well.

"come in omega team. Your up." maria

"this is omega team to orogami, ready when you are."

On top of the origami, there was a medium sized white craft equipt with boosters.

"alright. Countdown to mission start." rod

"mission starts in 3.. 2.. 1.." sheryl counted as she looks at her watch. It was already night time back in the philippines where they ascended from.

"excalibur, taking off" omega team leader

"releasing excalibur for space entry." yukiko

The clamps that was holding the excalibur was then released where the excalibur turned on their boosters while the origami slowly descends to some distance away. As the excalibur took off, they then ascended diagonally into outer space.

After a few minutes, they safely arrived into outer space.

"this is omega code 1 to base. We have arrived."

"roger that excalibur. Please report for anything. Over." maria

On the bridge of the origami.

"it seems that space entry was a success." rod

"yes it was. We all planned it together right?" sheryl

"hold that thought just yet. Were not yet safe oit of the woods." stacey

As satellite feed wasnt available to them, their only hope now is the omega team with the excalibur.

"this is excalibur to origami, we have arrived at the destination. Now commencing knock down." the excalibur reports after 45 minutes

"roger that." maria

There in outer space, the excalibur then journeys towards a satellite.

"now reaching onto target."

"code 1, should i fire?"

"code 4, you can fire now. "

"now firing at target."

There was then lasers that came out from the sides of the excalibur which fired on that satellite.

"code 5, incresing the output of the beams."

There were then about 2 holes at the satellite.

"code 2, rotating the excalibur for drilling."

The excalibur then rotated as they got near the satellite which bore a hole on the satellite, thus exploding its battery pack on space.

"this is code 1 from excalibur to origami. We have 1 down. Over.”

“this is the origami, good work.”

Back on the bridge in the origami.

“hmm.. so we just have to relax in here huh while waiting for them to wake up.” Rod

“yes. that’s the plan.” Sheryl

“maria, is there any response from the world leaders?” rod

“none.”

“crew is also now alright by the way. They are now tending to the other assault team members.” Stacey

“alright then.. By the way, with just one Excalibur up in the sky, this could take a few days or days perhaps until we could destroy all the satellites in the world.” Rod

“yes, that’s right.” stacey

“which is also why we are going back down for now to stay at the bunkers inside the underground port.” Flores

“alright then. Please continue with efforts at destroying the satellites omega team.” Rod

“you know, its really unfair that you guys get to relax there while we work here. Over.”

“haha. No worries. This is just a one time only job.” Rod

“please also make sure to bring back fragments of satellites.” Stacey

“why is that?” yukiko

“its to reverse engineer and make a satellite of our own.” Rod

“anyways, please contact us again once your in line with Philippines and your finished with your task.” Maria

“roger that. Omega team out.”

Comms with the omega team then ends.

“down we go back to our home.” Rod

“okay. Now descending towards home town.” Yukiko

“so for now, the world will have no satellite feed whatsoever right?” kaori said while being with Sheryl on the strategy table

“yes. we cant communicate with the outside and even request any satellite feed from the military right now.” maria

“so were going manual for now.” Stacey

“we will be busy for a while.. Hold on. We still cant get the helmet off or else we would be hypnotized.” Rod

“don’t worry. We all wont take off the helmet as much as possible.” Yukiko

“were already assigning schedules on what to do once we get back.” Sheryl said and kaori gives a thumbs up

“o-okay then. Lets get back home.”

back at rods home town, the whole crew checks for themselves at a hotel where all of them will be staying for a while.

“hey rod. How will we sleep then with this helmet on?” kaori

“don’t worry about it. The engineering team is currently making a counter measure for all of us so that we can sleep tight tonight.” Rod

“okay then.” Kaori

“good night ladies.”

“good night rod.” The girls said as all of them were sleeping in a suite room.

The next morning, they were woken up by knocking on the door.

“what is it?” rod answered the door

There were 3 women who had a message

“sir, we have a situation.”

“early this morning, there was a carrier plane that flew by at the sky.”

“one of us saw it dropping two things from the sky. More like two people dropping in parachutes.”

“we then woke up one of the assault guys so that they could investigate it and they returned with bruises.”

“hmm.. lets see them.” Rod

Rod then goes to the girls to wake them up.

“girls, wake up. We have a situation which would require us.” He then faces the 3 girls. “where are they now?”

“they are just downstairs being treated.”

“alright then. Girls, please come downstairs once your fully awake now.”

Rod then goes with the 3 girls downstairs.

“status report.”

Rod was staring at the scene of 3 men in light gear being treated for their bruises.

“sir, as they have already said to you, we have gone towards the drop site of those people in parachutes but what we saw instead were those source zombies.”

“they detected us and ran towards us. “

“we forgot our backpacks that time and just ran for our lives.”

“good thing that you were able to run away from them. Or else they would have taken your lives.” Rod

“sorry about that sir. We didn’t know.”

“alright. I have a bad feeling about this so we should all now go back to the origami. Wake everyone up.” Rod said as he examined everyone who was downstairs at the moment

“yes sir!”

After that, they went back to Sistine port, the port underground for the origami.

“rod, were almost done cleaning up all researches.” Stacey

“good. Cause we will continue with researches from now on inside the origami.” Rod

“so what is this feeling that you have that ordered everything into the origami?” Sheryl said while walking towards rod

“if my deductions are correct, maybe there might still be people who are in cahoots with the terrorists.” Rod

“there are also terrorists here in the Philippines so its no surprise that rod wants everything packing.” Flores said after she got near them

This time, the girls went around rod for a meeting

“anyways, since there are also others which might not be affected by the transmission, I cant afford for them to get their hands on any of our secret researches.”

“okay then. And what then?” yukiko

“we first survey the surroundings of this city for any signs of the source zombies and eliminate it before we go to another city.” Rod

“that sounds like a plan. “ Sheryl

“it beats rather than doing nothing in here. we got no workers for now to carry out company work.” Stacey

“okay, im in.” kaori

“alright then. Lets get ready to roll out.” Rod

After they finished loading and erasing research data from the company, they then got to the last known point where the zombies were shaken off.

“assault team, ready for sortie.” Sheryl

“roger.”

The rest of the assault team who were able then flew towards the scene where the source zombies were busy accumulating more zombies. There they killed all the zombies and around them as well as the source zombies. They then had the other people who were knocked unconscious move far away from the zombie carcasses.

After that, they went from city to city in the whole country, protecting the people from the source zombies which were being dropped off earlier that morning. After they were done with Philippines, they then go towards japan again were the same thing is going on. The rescue effort lasted for days where they have already revisited japan and china.

But during the third day, they then saw people waking up from the hypnotism where they also receive reports from the Excalibur of their efforts in space. Then after one month, the whole world eventually woke up all wondering what is happening around them.

Some people when they woke up, believed it was already a zombie apocalypse while others just remained calm and try to survive.

“so your saying that the only means of communication left is through the origami is that right?”

The world leaders also eventually woke up fine where they were also pissed by the fact that all the satellites have been taken down.

“yes sir.” Rod

“through the excalibur, which is currently floating in space now, that we were able to communicate.” Stacey

“can the excalibur be used as a satellite instead?”

“unfortunately, no. since we don’t have the technology yet to make a satellite, and since data distribution from the Excalibur is very limited which is why its never possible.” Rod

“I see. During this whole time we were asleep.”

“how long was it again?”

“about 8 days sir.” Yukiko

“thank you for your efforts all this time.”

“though you could have just hacked—“

“do you think we have the resources to even hack the pentagon?” camellia said while she was trimming her nails

“w-who is that rude child?!”

“please do forgive this girl. Though she also speaks the truth.” Rod

“currently, the Philippines doesn’t have the capabilities nor the man power to perform any hacking when it is just a third world country.” Stacey

“that hurts you know. But your right.” dutuer

“lets all just manage our situations now and work together as one.”

“yes, that would be the best possible choice now.”

“even the US didn’t anticipate this attack.”

“shut up. We can manage just fine on our own, though I admit that that took us by surprise.”

“it would be rude to ask but out of curiosity, did the pentagon get infiltrated during that time?” rod

“oh yeah.”

“now that you have mentioned it.”

“that’s classified. But thanks for asking.” US president

“for starters, we should all see with our defenses before we help the people.”

“that’s also a good idea. But what might have happened during that time?”

“yes, it would also be enough time to set something up.” Sheryl

“alright then. We all do appreciate you helping us.”

“NASA will also help with restoring all our satellite feeds for other countries. I just hope that they are alright.” US president

“im already carrying it with me back right now.” Rod

“oh yeah. So you guys would also now consider his request for a rescue center and security agency?” flores

“yes. it will now be the first in the country to have an international security agency and an international rescue center.” Dutuer

“though for any requests, we will accept them for now and if there might be some that requires your expertise, we will inform you.”

Then all of a sudden, Hillary and henry barged into the bridge.

“son, may I have a word.” Henry

“I know what your gonna probably say dad. But at least I have saved us all from certain danger.”

“you mean we saved us all.” Sheryl

“o-okay.” rod just smiled

“we were seriously worried this whole time you know.” Hillary

“thank god that your safe.” Henry

“we also couldn’t thank him enough for his efforts mr and mrs mason.”

“whoa. Who are those son? And why is dutuer there?” Hillary

“I was talking with the world leaders on status reports”

“wow.” Henry

“its an honor to have your son at our side.”

In the monitors, the world leaders couldn’t thank him enough for what he and his team has done.

“please forgive us for our impatience since he was almost lost to us one time.” Hillary

“what happened? This is the first that we know about this rod.” Sheryl

“it was when he was still a baby. One time, he was in his bed until he accidentally got out of the bed and slammed to the floor. “thank you world leaders.” Henry

“alright then. We will leave you now to your devices.”

The monitors then blacked out.

“thank god your alright rod. and what happened to your arm?!” Hillary

“mom, it’s a long story that we will all tell you guys. Though where is june?” rod

“shes at the med bay studying.”

“oh. Alright then.”

“so what will you guys do now?” henry

“we will now go back home where we will rebuild the company.” Sheryl

“and marry your son.” Maria said with a smile

“son, you may have the best wives but are you sure to marry all of them?” henry

“yes. and since they are all also pregnant.” Rod said with a smile

“what?!” Hillary

“yes maam. Were all pregnant with your sons child.”

“this is omega team to origami, we are ready for you guys to pick us up.”

“oh yeah! We almost forgot!” rod

“maria, tell the omega team t standby for docking sequence as we will get them momentarily.” Sheryl

“got it.” maria

After they picked up the omega team in the stratosphere, his parents asked to bring all their family from all parts of the Philippines for a marriage ceremony of a lifetime.
