Chapter 4:

A Different Reality

Ethicos:Fate Of Universe

A swirling, colorful door opened, and a group of people stepped into a beautiful world. They saw tall, snowy mountains, green forests, sparkling rivers, and a shiny city.

The group was amazed. The man was impressed, the older sister was excited, the twin sisters were curious, and the two goddess wives, though knowledgeable, were intrigued by the journey with Kaiden and the others. They knew of such worlds, but this one was special; they would spend time in their new life with them.

The adventure had just begun, and they were excited to see what else this magical world had to offer.

"Can't we just jump in?" Naomi exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement."Let's wait for the others," the twin sisters cautioned. "It's safer that way, and more fun to explore together!"

"Such beauty," the mother murmured, her eyes filled with wonder. "This world is truly a sight to behold," Kaiden agreed.

Astra and Eris exchanged a knowing glance. "It's an interesting blend of magic and technology," one of them commented. "We shall see what secrets this world holds."

A peculiar creature, with large, curious eyes and a vibrant hue, approached the group. It squeaked and gestured, seemingly trying to communicate."I believe it's trying to understand us," Kaiden suggested.

"Let's try to communicate with it," Naomi offered. "Maybe it knows a shortcut to the city, or perhaps it just wants to play."

Kaiden, using his power, tried to communicate with the white rabbit with blue, beautiful, glowing eyes.

The rabbit told him to reach the city by going through the forest, but warned him not to forget that the forest was full of monstrous creatures.

They replied with a "yes" and moved towards the forest.

In the forest, they fought monstrous creatures in hand-to-hand combat and continued towards the city.

The group finally reached the city. It was big and busy, with tall buildings and lots of people. People had special powers, like super strength or control over the elements.

Kaiden and his group wanted to fit in and protect themselves, so they changed their clothes and got weapons. They were excited to explore this new world and see all the amazing things it had to offer.

The group reached the city called Atlas.

As they entered, Astra turned to Kaiden. "Does your name still suit you?" she asked.

Kaiden paused, then said, "No. I've changed. From now on, I will be Nyx Eien.

"Eris smirked. "About time."

Avelina grinned. "Nyx fits you, Onii-chan.

"Sana smiled warmly. "A name worthy of you, my child."

The group welcomed Nyx as a new legend with cheers.

"Naomi personally said, 'Nyx... a name that carries strength and purpose. You'll make it unforgettable, little brother.'"

Nyx said, "Thank you, Nii-sama."

As Nyx and his group entered the bustling city of Atlas, he immediately turned to Naomi.

"I need to understand how this world works—its government, currency, and economy," he said firmly.

Naomi nodded, impressed by his practicality. "Smart. Knowing the system is key to survival and ruling effectively."

Nyx turned to Astra. "Where can I start?"Astra gestured toward the towering City Hall in the distance. "That's where the city's leaders manage everything. Begin there."

Eris smirked. "Already thinking like a ruler, aren't you? Let's see what Atlas has to offer."

With determination, Nyx led his group toward the City Hall, ready to learn and adapt to this new world.

Nyx and his group explored the city, meeting several locals. First, they stopped by a blacksmith.

The blacksmith asked, "Need a weapon?"

Nyx replied, "Show me your best."

Next, they visited a tailor.

The tailor suggested, "A coat of Mythweave would suit you."

Nyx answered, "I need something practical."

At the market, they met a trader.

The trader offered, "Rare items for trade."

Nyx asked, "What's the currency?" The trader answered, "Silver coins."

Finally, they visited a magic enchanter. The enchanter asked, "Need enchantments?"

Nyx responded, "What can you do?" The enchanter smiled, "Anything, for the right price."

Nyx nodded to his group. "We'll make our place here."

From the trader, Nyx learned about the currency, which was gold coins, silver coins, and Bronze coins. These types of coins were used as money or currency for payment in this world.

As Nyx and his group moved through the town, they encountered a group of Michel knights, notorious for their cruel behavior under the Supreme Order. The knights mocked Nyx's companions, especially the women, teasing and causing trouble for the townspeople.

One knight laughed. "What's this? A group of women following a weakling like him?

"Nyx's companions stayed calm, but the knight pushed further, threatening the townspeople.

Nyx's anger flared. He stepped forward, his voice cold. "Enough!

"With a single movement, Nyx disarmed the knights and sent them fleeing. He turned to the frightened townspeople, offering reassurance.

"You're safe now."

The grateful townspeople began to cheer for Nyx. Word of his bravery spread quickly.

Eris, watching from a distance, smiled, her heart swelling. "Impressive.Maybe there's more to him than I thought." She thought about how Nyx had saved everyone, and a deeper feeling began to grow inside her.

Sana, Naomi, and Avelina looked at Nyx with pride, feeling honored to stand by him. Everyone knew that their Kaiden was ready to die for saving people.

Astra stood quietly, a blush creeping onto her face. "I never thought I'd feel this way... on first sight. Now I know why I like him."As Nyx spoke to the townspeople.

he noticed Eris watching him with admiration. A connection had begun, one that would soon grow into respect.

As Nyx and his group continued their journey, they noticed a crowd gathered near a trader's wagon on the roadside. From a distance, Nyx's sharp eyes caught the sight of people in chains.

Naomi frowned. "Slaves... so this world allows such cruelty."

Eris narrowed her eyes. "Disgusting. How can anyone trade lives like merchandise?"

Nyx clenched his fists. "This world has its darkness, and it's our job to bring change. Let's find out more."

As they approached, the trader called out, "Fine slaves for sale! Strong, obedient servants!"

Avelina, glaring at the scene, muttered, "This is sickening. We can't let this stand.

"Nyx, his voice steady but firm, replied, "Not now. First, we gather information. Then we act!"

The group moved away quietly, their resolve strengthening to put an end to such practices.

Nyx and his group finally reached the grand City Hall of Atlas, its towering gates shut tight. Two stern guards blocked the entrance.

Nyx stepped forward. "We need to enter. This city's future concerns us all."

One guard shook his head. "City Hall is guarded by the Supreme Order. No exceptions."

Avelina, frustrated, folded her arms. "What are you hiding in there?"

The second guard avoided eye contact. "It's none of your concern. Leave.

"Eris stepped closer, her voice sharp. "You're lying. What's so dangerous that even the people can't know?"

The guards stiffened but said nothing. Sana placed a calming hand on Nyx's shoulder. "This secrecy isn't ordinary. Something dangerous lies within.

"Nyx nodded, his gaze steady on the gates. "If this mystery threatens Atlas, we'll uncover it eventually. Let's go tomorrow to find the truth."

As they walked away, Astra glanced back, a hint of worry in her eyes. "Whatever's hidden there, it's not going to stay hidden forever."

Under the sunset, they walked towards a restaurant for food.

Avelina broke the silence. "They're clearly hiding something. That place feels wrong.

"Naomi nodded. "If they're so desperate to keep it closed, it must be something dangerous."

Eris, her voice firm, added, "We can't ignore this. Whatever they're hiding could threaten the city—and the people.

"Nyx looked ahead, his expression calm but resolute. "We'll find another way. Secrets like this don't stay hidden forever.

"Sana smiled softly. "You're right. When the time comes, we'll be ready."

As they walked back into the bustling streets, Astra glanced back at City Hall, her voice barely a whisper. "The future of Atlas depends on uncovering the truth!"

The group reached the restaurant and entered a cozy restaurant, settling around a large dining table. As they ate, the day's events became the topic of discussion.

Naomi, sipping her drink, started, "You were impressive today, Nyx. Saving the town really made an impact."

Eris smirked. "Don't let it go to his head. He was just doing his duty."

Before Nyx could respond, a graceful elf with flowing silver hair approached their table. Her voice was soft and melodic."You must be Nyx, the hero everyone's talking about. Such strength and bravery... truly admirable," the elf said.

Nyx, caught off guard, blushed slightly. "Uh... thank you. I just did what was right.

"The elf leaned closer, her eyes twinkling. "A hero with humility. How charming.

"Eris, noticing his blush, playfully smacked his arm. "Stop blushing! You're married, remember?"

Astra, her face red, muttered softly, "Darling... do you like girls like her?

"Naomi watched the elf leave and smirked to herself. "That dress of hers is something... Maybe I should try it out.

"Sana and Avelina grinned mischievously. "Nyx, you looked so flustered! It was adorable.

"Avelina said. "I've never seen him this red before. Should we invite the elf back?"

As the teasing continued, Nyx's frustration boiled over. "Enough! Everyone, stop!

"The group burst into laughter, and despite his annoyance, Nyx couldn't help but smile. It was moments like these that reminded him how much he valued his companions, even if they drove him crazy sometimes.

After dinner, Nyx and his group moved to the rooms above the restaurant. They unpacked their belongings and settled in. Nyx, feeling restless, sat by the window, gazing at the moon. The soft light reflected on his thoughtful expression.

Naomi, noticing his silence, asked, "What are you thinking about, Nyx?".

He shook his head, forcing a small smile. "Nothing special. Just... the future."

"Avelina, sitting on the bed, teased, "You always say that when something's on your mind."

Nyx sighed and turned to Astra and Eris. "What's next? Where do we go from here?

"Astra leaned against the wall, her tone calm but determined. "First, you must seek the Eternal Sword. It's a weapon of immense power, and you'll need it for what's to come."

Eris crossed her arms, adding firmly, "And we need to grow stronger. Find skilled companions and supporters. Build a force capable of handling the threats ahead.

"Nyx nodded, his gaze returning to the moon.

"The Eternal Sword... more allies. It's a lot to take on, but I'll do it for all of you."

Sana smiled warmly. "We'll support you every step of the way, Nyx."

The group fell into a comfortable silence, the moonlight filling the room as they strengthened their resolve for the challenges ahead.

Everyone went to bed.
