Shit! : Part 2

Naori is about to slit Hiro's throat when a spear charged with lightning descends from between the pillars of the temple, cutting Naori's arm off. He lets go of Hiro, who picks up the knife and stabs him.
Henry and Daro come into view from between the pillars and start battling the minions around. Tayo begins to fire the arrows that he has. Henry dispatches some minions as Daro walks over to Naori.

NAORI
(delirious)
Daro.
DARO
Goodbye traitor.

Daro kills Naori by stabbing him in the head. He then sits at the foot of the statue as Tayo, Henry and Hiro fight the remaining minions.

DARO
(to Tayo)
Don't let that beast escape.

Daro stands and Tayo rushes to a pillar. He sees the injured lanba, heading towards the forest. He fires his last arrow and misses.

TAYO
Does anyone have an arrow?
DARO
(sternly)
You don't need an arrow. Focus.

Tayo closes his eyes, opens them and draws but nothing materializes. Daro takes the bow from Tayo and aims towards the sky. As he draws the bow, a glowing arrow materializes and he fires it into the clouds. The lanba enters the forest and then a few seconds later lightning strikes. Killing it on impact.
Tayo collapses to the floor in exhaustion. Hiro examines her face for any injuries. Henry moves closer to Tayo.

DARO
So you've known my master since ancient times.
TAYO
You were listening?
HENRY
He said we should wait.
TAYO
Why?
DARO
I didn't trust you.
HENRY
Ray, this is Daro.
DARO
I know.
HENRY
And Daro, that's Hiro.
HIRO
How did you know we were in trouble?
DARO
I was monitoring Naori's minions when I saw him.

FLASHBACK - ROOFTOP, EAKI - NIGHT
The bat monster carrying Henry is being watched by Daro from the rooftop of a house close to the temple. He charges his spear with lightning and throws it towards the bat. The bat falls with Henry into the forest a distance away.
BACK TO PRESENT

DARO
Why are you looking for my master?
TAYO
We are looking for answers. She was close to the professor. If anyone knows how to helps us it's her.
HIRO
Guys we should find a better place to discuss this.

Daro gets up.

DARO
Even she, didn't see this coming, I doubt she can help. I'll take you to her. Come on.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE, EAKI - LATER
Daro lets out a loud whistle.

TAYO
I'll get our horses.

Tayo hurries away.

HIRO
That statue was Ea right? You worship her as a deity?
DARO
She is a being before time.
HENRY
And we are the beings that created her. So you know what that means right?
DARO
No I don't.
HENRY
It means if you served her, you serve us. We created you all.

Some moments later Daro's forse arrives and Tayo arrives with Hiro's horse too.

TAYO
I couldn't find the other one.
HIRO
What do we do?
DARO
You can share with him.

He gestures at Tayo.

DARO
We'll let this "deity" run after us.

A look of shock comes over Henry's face.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The steeds are trotting. Hiro and Tayo are on the horse while Henry and Daro are on the forse. Tayo looks uncomfortable and sleepy while Henry is already asleep. Daro hits him.

DARO
We'll soon be getting there.
TAYO
(to Hiro)
Nice cloak, where did you get it?
HIRO
On a mission. Why didn't you tell the general you were a tester?
TAYO
Because...

He ponders for a moment. How should he explain it to her?

TAYO
Because of what would be expected of me.

He hopes she understands what he means, incidentally she does. The burden of expectations. She doesn't probe him any further.
They pass a couple of wild horses and cattle. After a little while they disembark form their steeds. They gradually approach the sound of running water. Then, they see the river and they get closer, they notice it leads to a waterfall and the waterfall leads to a massive valley. Tayo looks at the water fearfully.

HENRY
Don't tell me...
DARO
Our destination is down there. The ruins of Ealao.

EXT. CLIFFSIDE - NIGHT
The waterfall glitters in the moonlight as the four companions climg down the cliff. In the valley are tall rock formations with vegetation around them.

EXT. VALLEY, RUINS OF EALAO - NIGHT
We see the ruins up close now. Some are carved into the sides of rocks. Daro leads the way as the four of them enter a dark passage. Daro lights the torches by simply touching them.
On the walls are murals of strange beings, gliding in the skies.

INT. PASSAGE, RUINS OF EALAO - NIGHT
Hiro, Tayo and Henry follow after Daro.

HENRY
I'm beginning to think looking for this lady was a bad idea. Why is she here?

He gestures towards Hiro.

HIRO
The general sent me.

They eventually come to the entrance of a brightly lit room.

INT. UNDERGROUND ROOM - NIGHT
The room is mostly empty except for some few weapons hanging on the walls. At the room's center we see Ea's image refracted in a ball that looks like it's made of diamond.
Tayo moves forward, looking at the ball, concerned.

DARO
When she arrived, she sealed herself within this sphere. I haven't been able to wake her up since.

Henry tries to slice the ball, but his knife passes through. Tayo tries to touch it but his hand also passes through it.

TAYO
(a whisper)
Ea, please wake up.

Suddenly, the refractions of light start to cease, and the ball now shows Ea clearly. There is a large black cut running down her body. The ball itself then starts to disappear as Ea floats down and Tayo catches her. The rest gather around. Daro kneels close to Ea.

EA
Tayo, I'm so glad to see you. What about the professor did he manage to...

Tayo shakes his head. Ea winces in pain on receiving the news.

TAYO
(to Daro)
Do you have any healing potions?
EA
No, no. This doesn't heal.
DARO
What happened?

FLASHBACK - DARK REALM - NIGHT
Ea is staring at a mass of darkness with red blots and red lightning scattered around.

EA (V.O.)
I was teleported to the dark realm. The darkness itself got me.

BACK TO PRESENT

Ea winces in pain again as we see the black cut growing like a plague on her body. Daro tries to use his cloth to clean it but the black mass starts to consume it too.

EA
But I was able to escape and get this.

Ea lifts her hand to the sky and a DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD materializes and drops slowly. On it are some inscriptions in a strange script.

EA
(painful breathing)
Take it.

Tayo hesitates.

EA
Take it. It's the professor's sword.

Tayo takes it and drops it on the floor. The darkness has almost finished consuming Ea.

TAYO
Ea, how can we logout?
EA
I'm so sorry Tayo. I don't know. I failed my creator, my master. Daro, please take care of him.

Daro doesn't answer, his face is pale and shocked.

TAYO
What can we do?
EA
Fight. I'm glad you found me, Tayo.

She places her hand on Tayo's face. The darkness covers her whole body. Tears well up in Daro's eyes and Tayo looks downcast and frozen.
Then, Ea's body starts to evaporate into black particles scattering upwards in the room until it completely disappears.
