#102 Sinkhole

Tara and I- Although we have been living in this house for a month now, it is difficult to invite people over. I’ll gladly show them our renovated kitchen and our beautiful garden.

But we don’t talk about the sunken spot in the floor.

It can be hard to look at it directly. Thinking about it feels like your brain gets wrung out like a kitchen towel. Our dog wouldn’t stop barking at it. I was glad when that barking stopped so I could finally sleep.

We never saw our dog again. But the dent remains. Has it become bigger?
