Chapter 2:

A Whole New World

Born Into Divinity.

Turns out Prana existed in everyone, but you needed some kind of emotional trigger to use it to its full potential. Any kind of strong emotion worked. Anger, Love, Grief, Sadness. A great amount of any emotion can awaken ur Prana in an explosion of white aura. This seemed like an amazing power, and it is crazy that 10% of the continent has it! Alas, I couldn't understand a good amount of the words in this book. And my annoyingly happy dad found me before I could read more. "Come here champ you are too small to be reading yet", he said. I was annoyed but too weak to even hope of fighting back. The house we had was truly amazing. Like God himself had come down to sculpt the masterpiece. I soon found out my dad was a knight from a noble family, became an adventurer, and retired soon after. My mother met him while going into these things called "dungeons" holding some kinds of magical beasts. But none of that amazed me more than what happened a few months later... I COULD WALK BABY!!! I could finally have some sort of mobility other than crawling! I used to be a leader of nations, but this, THIS, made me much happier. At this point, I was a 1-year-old handsome heartbreaker if I do say so myself. I met some of my dad's old friends and some of my relatives. I saw my dad training in the backyard and wow, this Prana stuff was the real deal. It seemed like everything bent to his will. Like his very sword was completely and utterly under his command, while the very ground listened to his command. I do want to awaken my Prana to its fullest, but at what cost? Every time you go a new ability for Prana, you had to feel strong emotion. According to the book 90% of those who awaken do so from grief or anger. Not love. Will I be in that 90%? But before I could gather my thoughts fully I see someone speaking to dad. Dad seems to be infuriated at him. I'm terrified since at this point I could not try to help him. The next words that reached my ears were simple and common, yet they sent chills down my spine.

"Hello, Michi."
