Do you Believe in Love at First Sight or do you Want Me to Walk by Again?

Risa looked wide-eyed at Mei-senpai standing in the doorway to the bathroom. She was casually resting her forearm against the doorframe, other hand on her hip, wearing a snarky smile on her face.

She spoke in a sarcastic tone, “Risa-chan, did you think you could keep me out of your room so easily? Remember, I basically used to live here. I know all the ins and outs of your house.”

Risa knew she wouldn't leave, but she pushed the door shut to the bathroom that linked her and onee-chan's rooms. “Just stand there a sec. I need to get decent,” Risa called out.

She hurriedly threw her dirty clothes in the hamper and pulled on a pair of grey sweatpants before flipping over her comforter so the image on it was facing downward. Risa then quickly patted down some loose hair and opened the door for Mei-senpai.

Mei had her hand clasped behind her back and was rocking back and forth. As soon as the door opened she rushed in. She grabbed Risa’s gaming chair and propped it under the doorknob. Mei then plopped down on the bed next to Risa. 

Risa was dumbfounded by what just happened. Her mind was noisy with all her thoughts going off at the same time. Risa was literally still confused about how she didn't recognize Mei-senpai, plus why the hell would she block the door like that?!

 Before she could speak, Mei grabbed her hand and whispered, “Reika went to the store, we wouldn't want her to walk in on us right?”

Risa responded quickly, “Walk-in on what? We aren't doing anyth…” she was interrupted by Mei's lips pressing against hers.

This was another level of turn-on for girl-obsessed Risa. She could feel her body start to move on its own. She opened her mouth and Mei pressed their lips together harder, Risa hands grabbed on to Mei's uniform shirt with a death grip. Mei grabbed onto Risa's lower back and pulled her in closer. Before they could go any further, Risa pressed her hand into Mei's chest causing her to back off.  

Mei looked into Risa's eyes. There was that pure and earnest look in her eyes that Risa recognized from when they were kids. It really must have been the same Haruna Mei. 

After catching her breath, Risa asked the question that was burning in her mind, “Mei-chan, why are you doing this with me?”

Mei-chan gave Risa a puzzled look. “Did you forget? Remember what I said before I moved away?”

Risa thought back to a tearful mini version of Mei. What had she said? She was sobbing uncontrollably and speaking indistinctly. “Risa, I lululiou”. So yes she remembered what she said alright, but had NO idea what she meant. 

“Um? Mei-chan. You were crying pretty hard. I have no idea what you said,” scratching her head and letting out a nervous laugh.

Mei turned red and looked down at her feet. “Um, I said, I love you Risa”

Risa sat in silence. Processing the words. “I love you…”. Did Mei-chan hold onto her confession since she moved 5 years ago? Risa didn't even realize that the two were squeezing onto each other's hands. 

The two were close to kissing again when they heard a soft knocking on the door. Mei slipped out into the bathroom and started running the bath water while Risa walked to the door. She expected her sister to come waltzing in but instead was met with the light eyes of her ponytailed best friend. 

Noriko smiled brightly as she saw Risa and held up a plastic bag full of several containers of homemade soup, a few bowls,  and utensils. She poured Risa a bowl and set it on her bedside table. Noriko sat down on Risa's gaming chair and rested her chin in her hands. 

Noriko was normally pretty cute anyways, but Noriko in casual clothes CUTE! She had on a white and black striped long-sleeved under shirt with a printed rock band tee on top. It was paired with ripped black jeans and black and white striped socks. Outside of school Noriko was a goth queen, which to many people was a stark contrast to how she presented herself in school. 

At school, she was a nervous wreck who was unable to carry on even a basic conversation without breaking down, but when in her goth attire, people saw Noriko as the thoughtful but relaxed, quiet type. It was amazing how people's perceptions changed based on how someone looked. 

With her confidence at its peak due to her goth attire,  Noriko decided to ask Risa about what happened in the bathroom at school. Without stuttering once, Noriko boldly questioned her friend, “Risa-chan, about what happened in the bathroom. Did it mean something to you? I mean, do you like me or something?,” Risa and Noriko both blushed. 

Before Risa could respond, Noriko continued speaking, “To me, it meant something. Risa-chan, I've been trying to tell you this for a long time now…I…am…, Risa-chan, I'm in love with you.” 

While both girl's faces turned red, the bathroom door slammed open. A half naked Mei-senpai  marched into the room, grabbing Risa-chan by the arm and planting a sloppy kiss on her lips. 

“My name is Haruna, Mei. Risa-chan's new girlfriend. You must be Noriko-chan, Risa's classmate right?,” Mei gave Noriko a death glare. “Come on Risa-chan, the bath water is ready, let's get you undressed and into the tub so we can get that fever down. Nice to meet you Noriko-chan, but you really should be going now.” 

The dirty scowls which the two exchanged appeared to be a declaration of war between the two of them. Risa, feeling increasingly nervous about the hostility in the air, attempted to lighten the mood. Risa cleared her throat loudly, “Ladies, I still haven't eaten any soup. I'm gonna sit and eat some now.”

 Risa took a long and obnoxiously loud gulp of the piping hot and fragrant liquid. Her face turned red and she started fanning her mouth rapidly. In a slurred and unclear voice, “Shit, I burned my tongue.” Risa stuck out her tongue and began fanning that too.

Both girls laughed at Risa's stupidity which was exactly what she had planned. Noriko got up and started to leave with a stiff and stoic expression on her face. Risa could tell she was hurting. She didn't like seeing sadness in Norikos's cute face but also was unsure how to respond to the unexpected confession.

Her head felt as though it was literally spinning. Everything was a blur, the accident, Senpai rescuing her, the almost kiss with Noriko, and even the kiss from Mei-senpai. Risa knew she would have to talk to Nori-chan about what happened, but right now she just felt tired and overwhelmed. Also, Risa was pretty sure Saya had confiscated her phone based on the doctor’s orders. Bots did not have the ability to defy orders that were in the best interest of a human being so yeah, probably took her phone. 

Risa sat down and finished her soup. While her apparent girlfriend sat next to her, Risa's mind became more and more troubled about the look on Noriko's face. Risa thought to herself, “Nori-chan must really be hurting if she was suppressing her emotions like that. I have to find a way to contact her.” Risa felt Mei -senpai's hair brush her shoulder before the dark haired beauty rested her head on Risa's shoulder.

That was it! Risa set down her bowl and looked at Mei. “Mei-Senpai, can I borrow your phone? Saya took mine. I just need to make sure Noriko-chan is ok.”

Mei let out a sigh then headed for her pile of clothes in the bathroom. She had a coy look on her face when she returned from fetching her cell phone. 

Holding onto her phone, Mei made a deal with Risa, “You know this makes me terribly jealous right? You are talking to another woman. I'll give you the phone if you agree to take a bath with me, and if you promise we can kiss twice before we go to sleep. What do you say?” Mei extended her hand with her phone resting on her palm.

To be honest, Risa didn't even have to think twice about taking the phone. Mei-senpai was so hot, she would be an absolute fool to turn down this opportunity. She grabbed the phone and shot Noriko a quick text, “Hey Nori-chan, it's Risa. Please swing by tomorrow so we can talk ok? I'll be off the rest of the week and Saya has my phone.” 

Almost panting at the thought of all the perverted things that could happen in the bath, Risa entered the bathroom and undressed herself. When she looked at Mei who was already waiting in the large metal tub, Risa couldn’t believe her eyes. Mei was wearing the very same creepy expression on her face as Risa. Was Mei-senpai her soulmate? There was only one way to find out.
