Chapter 13

Once upon a time, around the year 2035, the earth was a bit at peace, even though there were some wars fought at times in some countries, which the people mostly have no control at all. That was also the time when people were now able to travel to mars, and begin colonization efforts.

Everything was just fine and peaceful, until.. The krood came. The news on earth was all over the fact that the krood came, and killed all the people on mars. At first, the people were at chaos, as doubting on how the militaries of the world would prepare for an alien invasion, if ever it may come.

But it will come, since after 3 months of careful observation at mars, they were able to see that the krood were still moving forwards towards earth. Without hiding, and slowly moving. But before all that, the governments all over the globe assured assured everyone that it has a plan in dealing with the invasion, if ever it will come to that.

And as promised, the worlds military and governments all stopped their petty wars, and now concentrated on strengthening their military for the upcoming threat. Which they all poured all their resources and money to advancing science to its very limits at the time, including training citizens in military combat and reserve training.

After 5 years of preparations, they were now ready, or at least they were, when the krood now entered within the line of sight of earths nuclear weapons. At first, they went to the moon for an attempt to make peace, but all was futile, as the peace team were all being massacred there, inside the moon colony.

After that, they went to attack using ICBMs, but all was futile because of their energy shields. Until they immidiately used their nuclear arsenals, only to make a bit of dent at their army. As their army ships are always covering themselves, to prevent the mothership from being hit.

As the world has already used up about 60% of all its nuclear arsenal, it finally made its way to the mothership, which probably surprised the krood as well. All were celebrating back then, by their retreat. And which led to a prosperous 5 years of peace all over the world, until 5 years later..

"yeah, thats what our history books all says." lance said, now sitting at an armchair

They were all now at the police briefing room, where there was also enough seats for them all.

"could you please be quiet? Im getting curious at the next part." lica said, as sheryl laughed a bit

"fine.. Please continue." lance said

5 years later, when no one least expected, all except the militaries of the world, the krood came back. This time, they brought 2 motherships, and twice the size of an army. The people all couldnt believe it, as they came back. I mean, who wouldnt? Then the worlds militaries attacked using their nuclear arsenals again, this time, about 90% were used, all before they retreated.

This really made the news, as a whistleblower released such info thru the internet at that time, which was utter chaos. Then began the recruitment of the times greatest minds, to advance science even more, and to make weapons more powerful than what it was. Where another wistleblower then made an announcement to tell the truth, that in respect for our resilience against them, other aliens from other planets all sent their representatives to help us in the war.

This fact really made the news again, but the government denied this, and just further developed weapons in secret. Which really made scientific progress advance from a 50 year research, shortened to less than a few months with their help. But then, a country made their political decision to make peace once more.

So on their come back, the president of that country himself took on the role as representative, and successfully made peace with them, on the condition that those other aliens will leave earth. Peace had reigned for a brief time, until it was discovered on what the kroods were really doing on our planet, which was to make all men as slaves and women as offspring factories, for their genetically enhanced soldiers.

With that, a ground war was then made against the kroods, and the president of that country was assassinated. The war led to so many casualties, which one of the heroes at the time, kevin yu, emerged. He was victorious in solo battles, and in team battles as well, where he made so many contributions to both his scientific ideas and to his prowess.

The war also made clear that other countries were also progressing their tech so far, with the help of those other aliens of course. With that, and with the heroes of that time, the krood all retreated, and all nuclear arsenals they control were disabled. And to erase such an embarrassing part of history, the leaders at the time also agreed to rewrite history books, just a little bit.

Leo then paused a bit, to drink some water, in order to look at all of them paying attention to what hes really saying.

"and what happened then?" sheryl said, piquing her interest

"by the way, of all that i just said, some were of course forgotten knowledge. So you all must keep everything said in this room a secret, until maybe such a time." leo said

"yeah, my lips are shut." rena said as everyone agrees

"and from here on out, is a bit of my story." leo said

"we are listening." ivan said, seriously interested, as everyone is now paying attention

Kevin yu, one of the most decorated veterans of all time in the krood ground wars, for his valor and leadership in both the battlefield and in the scientific community. But before all that, he was just a regular single businessman with a nack in science. All because of his complicated past with his parents, he just couldnt make any single partner.

In any case, then now at deaths door, at the age of 104, he was now ready to meet his maker. Though before all that, he, all the other heroes, and leaders of the time, were granted one thing by the aliens: a telepathic vision on the uses and dangers of dark energy. Then after he died, he then heard a voice, and made a deal with that entity for another chance in life.

"then by some miracle, you ended up in my sons body, is that right?" ivan said, trying to hide his anxiety

"im afraid so. But whatever the case, you are now my father, and my parent, in this timeline." leo said, as both ivan and flower were a bit emotional

"meaning that the real leonardo rivera has already passed on?" flower said, which surprised everyone

"probably not. If my theory is correct, our souls merged, even though im the main personality that came out." leo said

"merged? Not passed on?" rick said. "im not surprised out of all the weirdness hes been through, but im more surprised that souls can merge." he said, curious

"after all, souls are also dark energy." leo said

"what?!" flower said, surprised at that info.

"please do explain." ivan said, curious

"dark energy is more than the cosmic energy to gather dark matter, its also the energy that maintains the balance of the universe." leo said

"i thought god does all that." bert said, joking a bit

"yes, gods do exist. Though i call them entities, which are also made up of dark energy." leo said

"because you met them right?" carl said, believing everything

"yes." leo said. "again, i urge everyone here to keep everything i said a secret." he said seriously, as everyone agrees

"so you are saying that there is more to dark energy, than meets the eye?" ivan said

"yes, and lets talk about that later--" leo said before he was interrupted

"and why should we keep your little secret?" rick said

"because i know things you mustnt know, and things that will also change the tides of power on this planet." leo said, seriously
