Chapter 1

In Miyagi (a city in Sendai, Japan), it seems as any ordinary day; people are living their lives with the Yuuyou² robots doing the chores they don’t want to do.

For an hour now, there’s a Yuuyou² in the streets, spinning in circles, screeching as loud as it can.

Passersby, that are minding their own business, are wondering why it’s behaving irrationally.

Kentaro – an on-duty detective – has now arrived onto the scene to investigate a report of the out of a control robot in question and to check on any clues on the person that seem to have cause it to go haywire.

Kentaro (a 177 cm (5"10) man with dark brown eyes and unkempt hair wearing an all-black attire), after staring at the Yuuyou² for a good 5 minutes, grabbed the defuse-box and left the car.

After inching close enough to the machine to place a defuse-box near it, Kentaro rush back and force the robot to power down.

Only after confirming that the machine was off did he bring it to the car to investigate the cause of the issue.

While piercing through the machine to get any clues, he was a bit puzzled.

It has the appearance of being a run-of-the-mill bug that wasn't noticed during programming.

If it wasn't for the anonymous tip, there would not have been any need to look into it any further; but after some time investigating, he noticed a chip with a red wire going to the circuit instead of a blue one.

"This seems to not be proper protocol for building a Yuuyou; Must be an unauthorized mod of some kind," thought Kentaro as he looks closer at circuits and the chips.

The cellphone rings... then at the last beep, Kentaro answers the call. He hears "Mr. Go, It's me," Kentaro answers with " Something I can do for you, boss?"

"I need you back at the office as soon as you can," The chief of staff (boss) tells Kentaro; "and no, this can't wait to tomorrow.

Wrap up what you doing, and get your rear-end here pronto."

Staring off into the distance for what seem to be a couple of minutes, Kentaro then hears "Mr. Go... I'm not going to repeat myself, be here by 4 or all your stuff will be out the door."

Before Kentaro can respond, the call ends. Kentaro, still staring off into the distance, wonders if the chip-parts are somehow also modded due to how the colors look slightly different then the official parts.

Kentaro parks into their headquarters and opens up the trunk.

Staring at the Yuuyou² again, he's ripping the machine apart in-order to find more clues.

While trying to find more clues, he's phone vibrates. "... Well then, time to get into the office." Kentaro thought as he went in the building.

Kentaro gets in the building by 4:05 pm to see a peeved slightly fat bold man ready to great him by the door.

"You know what, well played, I should've said 4o'clock sharp; maybe then you'd be here on time." said the annoyed chief.

"Is it something important, boss?" asked Kentaro.

Mr. Tsuji (chief) sighs then states in a warning tone "Mr. Go, I know that you would want to work alone, but, this case is being associated with a high-profile case since it involves those Yuuyou gizmos; because of that, we're getting a new hire to help put people at ease.

If at all possible, I'd want you to work well with that person, you understand?"

"... I didn't think the last case going cold would cause you to behave this way; if I did, I'd have swam to that boat..."

Kentaro then gets cut off with Mr. Tsuji barking as quietly as he can "This's not the time to bring up a failed case!

...I know you're good with what you do, just listen, then you can get 100 percent of the scum instead of 95 percent."

Kentaro stares at the ceiling for a couple of minutes.

"So, is there going to have more paperwork since it's not going to be a normal case?"

While glaring, Mr. Tsuji says "yes, now answer me; please be on your best behavior."

"... Sure thing, boss, I'll try." Kentaro responds. "Yea, OK, try really hard," Mr. Tsuji nags.

Mr. Tsuji wraps his arm around Kentaro and brings him into the elevator.

"Anything you need to tell me at this point?" Mr. Tsuji asked.

"The person must be an electrician of some kind since whole parts of the Yuuyou where replace quickly."

"... I'll get that sorted so you focus on finding the criminal."

They got out of the elevator and are walking in the hallway.

Kentaro grab a cup and started to pour himself a cup of water.

"Who's going to work with me?" Kentaro asked. "Don't keep her waiting; You can drink later."

After hearing that, Kentaro responds with "her?"

Mr. Tsuji starts grinning and says "just wait till you see her."

Kentaro stares at the cup for a minute, then follows Mr. Tsuji into the Mr. Tsuji's office.

Sitting patiently is a 162.56 cm (5"4) busty and skinny but fit woman - named Nao - wearing a simple business dress.

Mr. Tsuji starts with "Ms. Oshiro, thank you for waiting.

This's Mr. Go, he's going to be your partner for here on out."

Nao gets up, does a light bow and states "nice to meet you."

After examining Nao for a minute, Kentaro states "arrive with me, we need to get back to the Yuuyou machine; there's still more to unpack."

"I knew it'll work out well," Mr. Tsuji said laughing while getting back into his seat.

Nao, staring blankly, says "OK."

Mr. Tsuji now feeling somewhat relieved, says "now play nice, Mr. Go; people - such as Ms. Oshiro - are a rarity."

Kentaro leaves the room.

Mr. Tsuji tells Nao "Let me know if you need anything, alright?"

"Thank you, Mr. Tsuji. I'll be leaving now," responds Nao as she leaves the room to follow Kentaro.

Mr. Tsuji stares at phone thinking, "man, I wish I can get a hot babe such as her."
