Chapter 108:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
The contents of the paper plane made her flustered. Her face went red. "Is this... me?"
It was an illustration of her looking outside the mansion. It was undoubtedly her, and every details match what she wore yesterday. But how? Who could it be?
Only one man's image flashed in her mind. She immediately went to the window to find out. Luckily enough, he was standing there leaning on a tree, and was facing directly to the princess. He seemed to notice that she had finally poked her head outside.
"She surely is a shy girl... I hope she liked my drawing." He said to himself.
"Umm..." Her voice cracked as she tried to raise the sound of it. "Thanks..."
It was just a little thanks, but that sparked the encounter between the two, a forbidden form of love...
As they conversed day after day, they grew quite close to each other. The Artist told her tales of his time adventuring around the world, and she would listen. This adventure was something new from the old books she had read. She enjoyed every bit of it. The artist would get on the closest tree to her and tell her tales, while she sipped tea and listened to him, sharing biscuits with him too.
But as they felt the spark between them each coming day, something wild happened when they three of her friends came from the royal capital...
After a week of waiting, they had finally arrived from the royal capital. But this time it was different, they were visibly terrified. Not only that, someone else had came with them. The maid of Princess Angelica came to her with concern.
"Your... friends wish to enter your room."
"Sure, let them in!"
When they came in though, they were in the verge of tears, as if someone took something precious away from them.
"What happened to you guys?" Angelica asked with concern. But their head were blank, they couldn't say anything. "What happened?? What happened in they royal capital??" Her voice grew with more concern. Anyone would be worried by seeing their looks.
She came to know everything from them. It seemed like they arranged the urgent meeting with the King and the Prince to look for a suitable Queen for the crown prince. That was not the problem, as the problem started after that...
The three of her friends told her that the crown prince had locked all of the potential brides inside a room for the week and picked randomly from them whenever he pleased and had his way with them.
"What... are you talking about..." Angelica's eyes were filled with horror. The three girls began crying as they said that...
"Don't tell me..." The Princess was looking for a denial, a denial that it didn't happen to them, but they all nodded in agreement as tears ran down their faces. What would happen to their future?
"Princess Angelica... please... it is a request from us... please run away from this country... we heard that you were the only potential candidate who didn't attend the meeting and for that reason the crown... prince is coming here." She started sobbing heavily. "We don't want you to have the same fate as us... so please... leave everything and escape from here..."
That means that bastard was coming here to have his way with her too. That thought dried up her soul.
"Wow... this story got really dark all of a sudden..." Kanako thought to himself while watching the play unfold.
