Mnemosyne 1

Time passed and the four were resting to prepare themselves for what was to come.

Suddenly, Liam was woken up by the sound of metal clattering loudly. He got up and looked around the warehouse, appearing the same as it always was, empty and dirty. He looked at Yuri, Herald and Jason, finding them still resting and he decides to return back to sleep but again, the sound of metal clattering happened again, causing Liam to jump out from his bed.

Appearing cautious, he got up and investigated the source of the sound. He readied one of his fists, wanting to be prepared for whoever may be lurking inside the warehouse. He found the source of the metal clattering as it was just two dirty metal bin tins that were lying on the floor.

Liam grew worried as to who it may be but suddenly, he hears footsteps that were going in a fast rhythm and it grew louder. Liam turned around and found someone behind him, their face was blurry, and immediately Liam went in for the attack but it did nothing as his fist went past through the intruder, like if they were a ghost and suddenly, they disappeared out of thin air, leaving Liam more puzzled.

Liam searched the warehouse for the intruder but when he reached the area where the others were resting, he noticed that they were gone.

"What the-" said Liam, expressing confusion and slight frustration.

Suddenly, a red liquid began dripping from above. Liam noticed this and he slowly lifts his head up, finding Yuri, Herald and Jason pinned to the ceiling, and all covered in blood. Liam's pupil became small, like the blood in his eyes had been drained out. Suddenly the intruder appeared in front of Liam and gently pushed him to the floor.

Filled with rage, Liam went in for an attack, shouting "You bastard! I'll kill you!" The intruder dodged Liam's attack with swiftness and then gently kicked Liam from the back. But Liam quickly recovered and he continued to land a punch on the intruder but they continously dodged his attacks.

Liam began to grow tired and that was when the intruder sprung into action and kicked Liam in the face with a flying kick, causing Liam to fly in the air for two seconds before falling face first into the floor, with blood appearing on his teeth.

Liam tries to get up but he feels his body incredibly weak and therefore, he was unable to stand. The intruder slowly walks closer to Liam, grabbing his head and repeatedly slamming his head on the concrete floor. Liam could do nothing but withstand the pain but even that was unsuccessful with blood covering half of his face. The intruder slammed Liam's face into the now bloody concrete floor, causing everything to go black.

After some time, Grant, who had finally recovered and made his way to Londinium, was standing beside the unconscious Liam as he tried to wake him up.

"Liam... Liam..." Said Grant, calmly. He said it again, in a loud and annoyed tone "Liam!" Liam woke up, appearing frightened. Worried, Grant asked "You okay?"

Liam looked around the warehouse with worry and fear, finding it how it normally was, with Yuri and Herald standing outside the warehouse in the daylight. He looks at Grant and answers "Yeah, I'm fine..." He took a few seconds to process everything that just happened and then looked at Grant and asked "Hey, how did you get here?"

"Don't bother asking, its too complicated." Answered Grant. "Come on, up you go." Grant stood up and helped Liam up. He asked "You sure you're okay?"

"Fine..." Liam answered. "Just a bit anxious about this mission, thats all."

"Hey its okay to be anxious bro." Said Grant. "How about me and you get something to eat, to ease your mind?"

"Yeah sure." Said Liam.

Grant and Liam left the warehouse, joining with Yuri and Herald. The four would head out to a nearby area to get some breakfast but on the way, Liam noticed some blood that was visible on his hand, making his confused as to why it was there. He placed his other hand into his teeth and found some signs of blood visible, making him more worried. To avoid being asked questions, he wiped the blood off his hands and closed his mouth. He caught up to Grant and the others, and they carried on like nothing had happened.
