The Allure of an Anti-Gravity Gun

“Lets go Peewee, no time like the now!” June’s legs dash down the hill as she stumbles several times but manages to stay on her feet the whole way down. Beside her, Peewee darts down the hill next to her.

Getting to the bottom only moments before Peewee, June looks to see where Peewee is only to see Peewee tumbling down the hill like a bowling ball. “Woah woah woah, how did you-” Her words being cut off as Peewee crashes into her, taking both off them down, smacking into the damp gravel below their feet

“Oi, what the hell Peewee. How’d you lose yer balance that badly?” Peewee, looking a little dishoveled, shakes their head as to try and collect themself. Rubbing the spot on her back where she fell onto, she looks in front of her to see a massive blue crystal emerging from a bright green lake.

“Well now that’s just beautiful, ain’t Peewee?” June looks up at the moonlit sky “You’ve outdone yerself Bonnie, just bloody magnificent. It’s like somethin’ out of the fairytales I read growing up”

A Massive Blue crystalline formation looms hundreds of feet up into the sky. The different colors of moonlight shinning through the translucent body, mixing with its natural blue to create a whole new mix of colors. Red mixing to make purple, yellow mixing to make more greens, and green mixing to make a turquoise light.

The Twins performance is special in these parts of the festival. With help from the crystal, the lights not only shine where they normally would, but they also shine through the crystals, painting a fantasia of color across everything within view

After some time of June admiring the landscape, she rubs her back again and looks down at Peewee with a perplexed look her face. “You looked like you had been tumblin’ down the hill for a decent bit there. You knocking in to me still hurt don’t get me wrong but, I feel like it should’ve hurt alot worse.”

June’s face starts to slightly change as she starts to form an idea of why she isn’t in more pain from getting smacked into. “Now wait a second”, June squats down and lunges herself into the air, getting significant air time.

“Now we’re talkin’. Peewee, look! The crystals low grav properties are spreading to the whole area because of the massive amount of crystal here. I’m thinkin’ the closer to the main mass we are, the stronger the effects.”

June looks around and sees a bunch of crystal chunks scattered around the bank, then looks at the water in front of her. “Alright Peewee, help me gather up a bunch of these crystals here. My suit’s not really built for swimming and being submerged in water but with a few tweaks and a couple hours I could easily figure something out,”.

Roughly an hour goes by as June and Peewee spend the remaining time before going to sleep, messing around and playing, testing out the low gravity environment, and setting up camp for the night.

“Alright, gimmie one second lil’ buddy, just gotta set up our campsite for the night,” June pulls a small disc out of one of the pouches on her suit. “This little handy this will give me enough breathable air for one night. It’s like a mini less sustainable version of the one back at fort tattie”

June parades around, yapping for a bit as Peewee sniffs for more crystals. Soon the day starts to come to an end as June finishes up unpacking a sleeping bag for herself and a bundle of blankets for Peewee. As the two of them fall asleep and eventually wake up, the festival lives on the entire time.

Eventually both June and Peewee make their way back to Fort Tattie, with all of the new resources that they found, spending the next week fully dedicated to the project at hand.

“Oi, pass some metal scraps over to me Peewee,”. Looking back and forth between different blueprints and holograms of files from her computer, June starts working on a device which will make lifting heavy objects effortless.

“Those balloons only made this much progress? They shoulda let me help em.” June grabs a refined piece of the blue crystal with special tongs and delicately places it into a pocket near the back of the device.

“Several years and they really couldn’t figure this out. It was so simple”. The whirring sounds of the devices energy buzzes inside of Junes space pod. A blue energy courses through tiny tubes, concentrating at the tip of the devices barrel.

“I know there were several different design choices I could’ve gone with for this thing, but i just couldn’t resist the idea of a badass anti-grav gun.” As June flips on the power source on the device, she points it at a big rock outside and pulls the trigger.

Blue light flashes briefly at the tip of the device before releasing an electric looking bolt of energy towards the rock. Upon making impact, a light wave of blue light covers the rock.

“Aw, hell ya!” June celebrities just as a hologram emits from the device. June then grabs a fist full of the hologram. As she lifts up the hologram, the rock pulls itself off of the ground and begins to float into the air. Under her breathe, June whispers to herself “So bloody cool,”.

“Ya see that Peewee, We bloody pulled this off!” As June calls to Peewee, they begin their celebratory hops, seeing the rock pulled up into the air and dropped as June unclasps her hand, letting the rock crash into the ground.

After seeing her success, June smiles widely and turns her head over to Peewee, “Well, only one thing left to do, aint there lil’ buddy?”. Both June and Peewee start to dash over to the rover terminal.

After pulling up the life-sized hologram schematics of the rover, she begins shooting pieces and parts with her anti-grav gun, and grabing them so she can move everything she needs into place.

“Oh shoot, i forgot, i still need some to finish making a few essential components for this thing”. June looks over at Peewee and looks up at the night sky. Taking up most of her day finishing the device, it hits her all at once how much time has already gone by.

“Ya know what, lets get some sleep before we get wrapped up in anything else too crazy,”. June says through a yawn. Gathering her stuff, June makes her way back into the pod with Peewee following behind her.

The next day, June and Peewee have breakfast and get ready for the day ahead of them. Finishing up with breakfast, Junes looks over at Peewee and says “I think todays the day lil buddy. That rover is being finished before we go back to sleep tonight” Halfcaught up in tatties, Peewee looks up with a sense of determination.

Spending the next 12 hours working, welding, engineering, etc, June gets the rest of the parts together and assembles what she can into the schematics. “If all is right, which it should be, this is all i need to do and this thing is officially functional.

Using the gravity gun, she picks up a large power cell and places into a slot on the rover. After clicking everything into place with that, She sits herself in the drivers seat and peewee sits next to her.

June looks over at Peewee, both wearing goggles that June made. “You ready?” Peewee looks up at June and nods in response to her question. June then flicks a couple switches, causing the power to start surging throughout the whole vehicle.

June presses one final button and all of the lights begin to illuminate the interior and exterior of the rover. Moments later June presses down on the acceleration pedal and the rover begins to charge foreward. “Look at it Peewee, It’s wonderful!”.
