Chapter 18

As monday now came, its now exam week, and they begin their exams. Then after all exams were over..

"whew! That was a tough exam." leo said, as he now waits the girls at their classroom door

"and next is.. Me!" lica said, as she now stepped out of tbe classroom

"to think i was beat by lica in the exams." rena said, as she got out next

"we cant say that yet rena, we havent yet have our grades." leo said, as rena agrees

"im next.." sheryl said, as she got out

"good job sheryl." lica said to sheryl

"whew! That was hell!" nikki said, as she got out last

"but you answered all questions right?" lica said

"yes, perfectly!" nikki said with a thumbs up

"and all we have to worry now, are the grades." leo said, before brian got out

"how is your exam?" leo said to brian

"all is good." brian said

"alright, off you go to val." leo said, with a touch on his shoulder

"yeah.. Until the grades are set, see you until then." brian said, with them doing a fist bump

With that, brian now rushes to val, and with exam week coming to end on a friday..

"hey leo, have you seen your name yet?" lica said

They all were now at the entrance, at the billboards, where they were viewing their grades.

"not yet. This is indeed a bit nerve wracking." leo said

"yeah, i agree." nikki said, as the others also agrees

"i found mine! Im 8th!" sheryl said, joyfully

"now that you mentioned yours, i also found mine! Im in 10th place! Its really an achievement!" nikki said, celebrating

"im in 3rd.. Dang it!" rena said. "i lost to lica."

"oh yeah! im 1st!" lica said, celebrating a bit

"and im 2nd. But its ok.." leo said, smiling, as he pats rena. "No worries there, its just a grade."

"just a grade?! I want to beat lica on her own game!" rena said, annoyed

"rena, he doesnt know." lica said

"oh.. Yeah.. Sorry about that." rena said, ashamed

"what going on?" leo said

"i was suggesting we would go on the beach by summer, and she said she wants for us just to go to the summer festival, so we made a bet." lica said

"i see.. But girls, summer will be long. What about we do both?" leo said

"but i dont like the beach." rena said

"ahem! Guys, we are now on public." nikki said, before they now view everybodys envious gazes at leo

"oh.." the 3 of them realized, and has now gone to the classroom, where its now empty.

"this will be the last time we will see this classroom of ours." sheryl said, before any of them could

They were all now gathered around leo, who was sitting at his desk.

"yeah.." leo said, as this made everyone reminisce some memories

"hey guys, we are still high school students, why are we remembering things?" nikki said

"you are right." sheryl said

"anyways, we can always find a way to do both right? So why are you so against the beach rena?" leo said

"b-because.." rena said, embarrassed, but as she has no other choice.. "because im not confident with my figure!"

"you have a good figure rena, be proud of it!" lica said

"yeah! and this comes from the fashion gal herself!" nikki said

"i agree!" sheryl said

"everyone." rena said, teary eyed

"besides, leo doesnt discriminate, he loves us all!" lica said, as leo agrees

"hahh.. Fine. But we might go to the beach later on. Or which ever comes first." rena said, now agreeing

"alright then guys, lets all keep in contact until then." leo said, as they agreed, and adjourned the meeting

Later that night..

"its been a while, since we had a dinner together." ruby said, smiling

They were now at the table, just finished eating dinner.

"yes, we have been a bit busy at work lately." flower said

"and its all thanks to leos contributions, that research has progressed so much." ivan happily said

"oh! Thats good." ruby said, applauding

"with that said, please do clear your calendars, because we are all going to okinawa!" ivan said, excited

"what?!" ruby said, as it also surprised leo

"dear, you didnt explain clearly." flower said, as she sighed. "by next week, we will go to okinawa for a presentation." she said

"what presentation?" ruby said

"for the presentation of the first dark energy generator! And there might also be more!" ivan said, smiling

"oh! At last, your research will come to fruitation!" ruby said, applauding

"and you can always anticipate what comes next leo!" flower said

"ok. I will also clear my schedule by then." leo happily said

"yey! A vacation!" ruby said, celebrating

"ruby, this is only partly vacation. Do you hear me?" flower said

"alright then, we should now pack our bags for the trip." ivan happily said, and they all agreed

They then adjourned the family meeting, before going to their different rooms. Then leo texted the girls on some updates.

"so, what will happen to our plans?" sheryl texted

"we will just have to push it forwards." lica texted

"cant help it if leo has a world changing appointment to make." nikki texted, as the girls agreed

With that, his day ends. And another chapter begins..

"damn it! Just who messed up again?!" the boss said, as he threw his glass to the ground

They were now at a big office, where ibrahim hammer, CEO and head of the hammer corp, was at a secret meeting.

"it was those mercs that messed up sir." his secretary, alba ludric said, said at the far side of the room

"yes, those were the guys that messed up my company. Just one mistake, and it dearly costed me almost everything!" ibrahim said, slamming at his desk

"yes sir, because of them. They made your stocks drop so low these past few months, and made your employees quit one after another, and lawsuits one after another--" alba said, before she was interrupted

"enough! I heard enough. Let me ask again? On who was responsible for bringing down an army of mercs?" ibrahim said, before he gulped down some alcohol

"according to police reports, the mercs were all taken down by the police. But rumors in the force says that a child was the one responsible." alba said

"a child?! Just who is that child?!" ibrahim said, drinking a bit more

"we dont know sir, but according to the list of guests present at the party where the target was, we have guessed that a leonardo rah rivera might be the one." alba said

"i see.. After all this time.. And? Have you pinpointed his location?" ibrahim said, as hes now interested

"that, we dont know. But it seems that his parents has an event coming soon, in okinawa." laba said

"who are his parents? And what do they do?" ibrahim said, seriously

"his parents are government researchers, where they are researching on dark energy and its uses." alba said

"dark energy?! The one that is rumored to be the key to world domination? Depending on how its used?" ibrahim said, now very interested

"yes sir." alba said, staying calm

"alright then. Lets hire some mercs once more, to handle the job. Of eliminating them, and obtaining their research data." ibrahim said, smiling. "im now seeing my future alba, super rich! It will be hitting 3 birds in one stone!" he said, before he laughed a bit

"you look like a villain sir." alba said

"i have been a villain alba, for a long time." ibrahim said, with a sinister smile
