Chapter 9:
What color is the azure sky?
While staring at the body, Bunny was dead silent. “You better not think you'll have an easy death. I would cut those limbs of yours before investigation,” Tiger said, getting into a fighting stance and taking his blades attached with chains. “Rumble…..” The sound of a sudden explosion. “Roar!” Bunny burst out. “You bastard!” He took his pointy-edged pole from the corpse, attached it with half part in his hand, and jumped using the other end of the pole to give a double kick to Tiger's face. But Tiger blocked him with the chain and threw the blade from the left side of the weapon after pushing him. While Bunny was still in the air, he crossed his arms and threw two daggers from his sleeves, landed, and rushed for a close-range attack to gain the advantage. Bunny broke the whole pole in half, and his slashes were getting blocked with the rod. He threw a kick to Tiger's gut, pushing him back. “You better give your all, you deadass!” Tiger shouted and started his blade-rotating mechanism attached to the chain, attacking Bunny with more power-packed strikes and combinations. He jumped, attacking with the whole new weapon while swinging around his entire body.
“Titi titi,” the sound of an alarm echoed throughout the whole building. “Looks like I can’t afford to play anymore with you guys,” Bunny said politely, falling back and putting both shards of the pole together in the holder on his back. “You are not going anywhere!” Tiger commanded in rage. “Sorry, we shall play next time, little cat but thanks to you I know where they are now” Bunny replied, standing on the railing and shouting, “I know where you all are, and I am coming for you!” He took the leap. As he falls descended and passed each floor while holding the breath, each bathroom in all 300 rooms burst out with steam, filling the entire floor with dense, hot vapor. Soon, the entire building was engulfed in a thick, swirling cloud of steam and soon the hall connected to it, creating an almost impenetrable haze that cloaked everything in its path. “Look like a lot of people are going to die” said vel. “What the hell happened all of a sudden?” someone within the dense fog on the 32nd floor exclaimed. “He is here,” someone else within the floor said. “In the way, move!” Bunny said while blocking an attack with a knife and delivering a sharp elbow to the ribs, breaking them, and a kick to the jaw, snapping it. “Aah, save us, help!” voices echoed all over the building, and everyone rushed toward the voice.
Meanwhile, in a room on the 43rd floor “Cough! Cough! I told you, Momo, we should not sleep in these rooms. They might be filled with traps,” Mihak said. “Eh, what happened?” Momo said as Mihak woke him up. “Give up this mess is deeper than you think. We will die if we go after him. Just go to sleep,” said Gigi, who was sleeping naked in the corner. “What a mess,” Tiger said while shaking his head with anger and sad eyes. “I am sorry you could not be saved,” Tiger bowed his head while looking at the headless corpse lying there. The look in his eyes changed with resolution as he started going down very fast, knowing the destination. On the 32nd floor, Bunny was on a killing spree, making his way toward the stairs. Some people were running away in fear of death, while others resisted a few strikes. A group of attackers coordinated their assault, coming at Bunny from different angles. One swung a blade, while another lunged with a knife and kicked in between. Bunny swiftly dodged the blade, parried the knife with his dagger, and countered with a swift slash that left the knife-wielder incapacitated. "It might take too long this way," Bunny thought, taking out a dagger and a shard to increase his speed. Now it was clearly a one-sided massacre. Slashing through and cutting the attackers in a flow, he soon reached the stairway, and the chaos intensified. He withdrew the dagger back into his sleeves and took out another shard, using new combination patterns. He attached the shards to create a pole, using it for a high jump with his head toward the earth. He broke the shard again in mid-air and decapitated many heads while spinning, landed, and again broke it into shards to continue the assault.
The narrow space amplified the sounds of panic and struggle. The clanging of metal against metal, the thud of bodies hitting the ground, and the desperate cries of those trying to escape filled the air. Bunny moved with lethal precision, his dagger and shard cutting through the resistance with ease.
Soon he reached the 13th floor, covered in scratches and blood, where the stairs ended. With no presence, he moved forward but was welcomed by the sharp point of a saber, dodging it by a breath. “Be careful, Raymond. He uses weird combinations for attacks,” Cluu said.
Both of them engaged in combat in a rhythmic order, which Bunny barely dodged. He fell back to catch his breath but was soon caught up. He took both shards above his head and formed the whole pole. Two minutes later, he continued to leave after beating them to a pulp. “Why did he spare us?” Cluu asked with a swollen face. “We were spared because we were his practice partners,” Raymond said.“ That damn prey acting like a hunter,” Raymond muttered.
Meanwhile, somewhere in another sector, the public was watching the live broadcast of the cruel happenings excitedly, while some mourned for their loved ones who had died.
“No way, he is damn strong for a terrorist,” said one excited youngster to his friend. “...He is smart in making that shrewd strategy,” his friend replied, silently watching the whole show in excitement and fear.
“The stakes are currently in favor of Bunny, 1:22. Anyone wants to place bets?” a bettor shouted in another sector. “I am telling you, he is a broken hero, not a damn terrorist,” a drunkard said to his friend in a bar. “What will I do with those many grains?” said the barber himself while making a wrong cut. “Oh son, what shall this lonely father do now alone?” said a father who watched his son getting cut.
“Is he headed this way?” Baldwir twin asked his brother. “Just hope he doesn’t, and even if he emerges, stay far from him. He is way out of our league, and he already made some money thanks to him,” his brother replied while hiding under the stairs.
“Those with the will to fight and need a chance, head to the first floor,” a voice echoed through the hall. “This should be good for now,” Tiger said, jumping down the ladder quickly.
“The damage exceeds my expectations,” said Mr. Fox while watching somewhere.
People quickly gathered on the ground floor. The number of people had reduced significantly. Soon, daggers started to rain as Bunny emerged from the fog on the first floor. The number that entered the building had significantly reduced, with most gone back to the hall, some injured, and some dead. Just a handful of people remained to fight against him.
“Be on guard he will come anytime” someone within the crowd muttered to the people
