Chapter 113:

Do I smell a date?

The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter

Gosh... what is she thinking. It's not like I am waiting for her." As he picked up his bag, The tripod stand crackled inside. He scratched his head in embarrassment. "I should go now... honestly what was I thinking? She has friends to hang out with. I am not entitled to be with her... and I haven't even invited her to be with me... it would be strange, wouldn't it?"

He quickened his pace to go out of the auditorium. Most of the people have already left, and as he looked back, it looked deserted like a haunted house, especially because of the low lighting. The sudden sunlight that fell on his eyes blinded him for a bit, while he was trying to cover his eyes with his hands.

"I should buy something to eat..." He wondered to himself, as he was all alone. Kyo was with him a few moments ago, but he had work to do in his club so he got out early.

"Hey, Ayane-chan. Let's explore the festival." Meanwhile Miko excitedly asked Ayane.

She let out a forced laugh, " Sorry Miko-chan. But I have plans today."

"Do I smell a date?" Miko grinned.

"N-no! Its nothing like that, trust me!" Ayane pleaded.

"I wonder though..." Miko eyed her, before going her own way as they got out of the auditorium. "I have some plans too, so I gotta go!" But it was strange. She was blushing for some reason.

"Wait... does this mean... Miko-chan!!?!" Ayane exclaimed as se understood her reasons, but she already ran away. "Who in the world... is Miko-chan going on a date with?" She wondered.

As Ayane peeked at the auditorium, she could not find Kanako anywhere. "Did he leave...?" She felt a bit sad, as Kanako did not meet with her after the drama. She was awaiting him the most to ask for his review on the drama. "Why did he leave without telling me? Did he not like the performance?" Her mood sunken.

She was doubtful of her acting skills even though ever around her told her it was amazing. She walked through the heavy crowd to a bench further away from the stalls.

Sitting on the bench, she contemplated her past actions. What did she do wrong in the drama. Did she do something before the drama started when her mind was blank? That was the only reason she could think of, but she couldn't remember what did she do wrong in that time. She sighed. It was tolling her body after the acting that she had to do for a whole half hour.

"What was a heavy sigh, Ayane-chan. Is something wrong?" She heard a fimiliar voice.

"Kanako-kun? Why are you here?" He was standing there with a bunch of packets and food in his hand. He had three kebab sticks sticking out from between his fingers like wolverine.

"Oh... sorry I left a bit early and couldn't meet with you. I was getting a but hungry and went to buy some food, but then I also remembered that you would be hungry too so..." He lifted up both his hands to show her the plastic bags. "I bought some for you too. Good thing I found you here."

"So... you weren't mad at me?"

He looked confused. "For what."

She closed her eyes. "Nothing." She smiled, relieved.

"I guess I was overreacting..." she thought.
