Chapter 37:

[S3] Chapter 37: Sleepover

Your Healer

"Where do we build the base?"

"In the living room, I guess? It's close to the kitchen and toilet."

While I'm thinking about Miko's suggestion, the doorbell rings. I quickly run over and open it. Luna and Kajsa enter with packed bags and... a tent?

"What are you going to do with a tent?"

"We're going to sleep in it?" Kajsas says irritated.

"What are you planning to do?"

"None of your business," Luna answers.

My suspicion is that one of them prefers to sleep naked, and that's why they've decided on a more private hideaway. Whatever it is, they will have to explain themselves to Eliza, who will undoubtedly have quite different fantasies.

"Let me through." Kajsa pushes past Luna and literally sprints into the living room. Someone is definitely excited.

"I told her what you do at a sleepover, and she's been totally hyped ever since."

"Hey! Why are you taking your clothes off?" Miko shouts from the room Kajsa had run into and walks out of it, shaking her head with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"I'm putting on my pajamas!"

"What are you shouting about?" Eliza asks, walking out of the kitchen to glance into the living room, only to come towards us with a huge smirk. "I've seen something nice."

Luna replies with a dry "Congrats."

"Do you want to see my outfit?" Luna takes her stuff and walks into the room without a comment. Shortly afterward, I hear Kajsa's bare feet waddling across the floor, heading towards us.

She managed to make even me excited to see her. And now there she is in a black nightdress, which hangs loosely on her except for a certain part. You can hear the three of us standing in the hallway, swallowing simultaneously.

"Five bucks that her tits will fall out," Eliza says, having problems to stop staring at Kajsa.

"Make it ten," I whisper.

"You're disgusting," Miko adds as her eyes are fixed on the fine-looking demon in front of us. I wonder how well my pajamas with the monkey print on them will be received at this point.

"What do you think? I borrowed it from Luna."

No wonder it looks a bit too tight at the top. Luna definitely has bigger assets than me, but no one can keep up with Kajsa on this front.

"You look great," Miko says and then runs up the stairs to her room, shouting from upstairs. "Let's have a fashion show."

Is this the same person I fell in love with? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for going along with this kind of silly stuff, but I can't help but think that Miko isn't doing okay when she suggests doing a fashion show with our pajamas.

"Try to have fun, okay?" Eliza says and nudges me lightly with her elbow. Why does it sound like we're having this sleepover for me? I kind of want to go home. As Eliza disappears into the basement, where the guest room she has been living in lately is, I am left alone for a moment. I take a deep breath. Have fun, Kayla. Everything is fine. We're going to have a great time.

I don't even notice Miko coming down the stairs. Only when she touches my hand do I look at her and try to give her a smile.

"If you keep making such a face, I'll have to strip you and tickle you until you can't take it anymore."

"Is that a threat or wishful thinking on your part?"

"Do you want to find out?"

"I'd rather not."

"Do you want a drink?"

"Definitely."

She grabs my hand and gently pulls me behind her, heading for the kitchen. I try not to stare at her too hard, but I haven't appreciated how beautiful she is for a while. She notices my gaze, but instead of teasing me for it, she just smiles and turns her eyes forward again. Perhaps it is actually me who needs a little distraction after all?

"What will it be for the princess?"

"Aren't you the princess?"

"Beer or some kind of cocktail?" she ignores my comment, and rightly so. Why am I reminding her of what Ayma told her? Ah, that sucks. I sigh heavily even though I don't intend to.

"Let's start with a beer."

I've never been so ready for a fashion show. It's the first one I've ever viewed and participated in, by the way. The kitchen is used as the changing room. The living room is already full of sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, and, yes, a tent. We form a kind of semi-circle, sitting on the floor. We had planned to present ourselves in alphabetical order, but Luna insisted on coming last. Eliza starts, followed by Kajsa, me, Miko, and finally Luna. Armed with drinks, we discuss our expectations.

"She always wears oversized clothes. So it's to be expected that she also wears something baggy to sleep in." Luna comes up with logic, but I'm on a completely different track.

"But please don't forget that this is a fashion show. I wouldn't be surprised if she feels inspired by Kajsa and presents something bold."

"Inspired?"

"Aren't you getting a little too excited?" Miko asks me, sticking her tongue out at me.

"I'll bite it if you don't stop."

"Yes, please."

"I'm ready," Eliza calls from the kitchen. Silence falls in the living room, and our eyes are fixed on the door.

We try to remain serious for a moment but then start roaring like wild animals when we see her outfit. She's wearing a tight black top and loose hot pants in the same color. Where did this woman get such a body? That slim waist doesn't look like it's from this planet, and then her thighs and breasts are also ample and nicely formed. Only at the end do I notice that she has taken off her glasses and is wearing her hair loose, which is so long that it reaches down to her butt.

I don't want to play this game anymore.

Eliza does two laps past us and finally presents herself with a slow turn.

"Eight points," Kajsa says, nodding with satisfaction.

"Nine from me," Luna adds, pretending to proudly wipe the tears from her face.

Miko and I look at each other briefly and nod at the same time.

"Ten points."

"Same here."

"Thank you, thank you. I am very grateful for the review." Eliza bows several times, and each time she bends over, she presents us with a gorgeous cleavage.

"Nine and a half..." Luna whispers, looking shyly to the side.

Eliza grins broadly, grabs her glass from the table we have pushed to the edge of the room, and sits down next to Miko. "Who's up next?"

"My turn," Kajsa announces and jumps up to quickly disappear into the kitchen with her tail wiggling around under her dress. She is the only one already in her outfit, but she insists on showing it to us again. Right now, she seemed even more committed than before.

And I am at least as committed as she is. This concept of presenting yourself to each other and shamelessly checking out each other's bodies is something I can enjoy. Once I become aware of my thoughts, it almost sounds as if I am perverted. But shouldn't we all be happy that we can enjoy the little things in life? We should, shouldn't we?

"I'm coming."

Like a bunch of fashion connoisseurs, we put on our poker faces and await the next model. She walks into the living room with the most elegant and slowest gait I have ever seen from Kajsa. The white dress she is wearing is about knee-length, and with the right lighting conditions, it would probably be relatively see-through. In the slightly dimmed living room, however, her white hair, yellow eyes, and light purple skin shine the brightest.

I try not to stare at her boobs from start to finish, but they just look so stunning. The way they bounce up and down makes you fear, or perhaps hope, that they will burst out and show us the rest of their beauty. When she arrives directly in front of us, she turns around and slowly but surely lifts her dress with her tail. With my girlfriend next to me, I can control myself from throwing myself forward to maybe catch a glimpse. Still, the fact that we are sitting on the floor is quite diabolical.

To distract myself, I look over at Luna, who is pressing her face into a pillow, and at Eliza, who has tears in her eyes. "I can't see anything without my glasses," she whispers, heartbroken.

"What do you think?" Kajsa asks with a broad grin that emphasizes her sharp teeth. We all quickly agree to simply give her ten out of a possible ten points as an expression of mutual respect. She happily hops over to Luna, sits down, and snuggles up to her.

Before we continue with my performance, Eliza has left to look for her glasses and I get another round of drinks from the fridge. While I'm putting a bottle of beer on the kitchen counter, I notice someone entering the room. I turn around and see Luna, who has a totally flushed head. It's hard to say whether this is due to embarrassment or the booze.

"Are you having fun?" she asks as she opens the bottles I've already taken out of the fridge.

"Yes, maybe too much," I say without having to think about it. Somehow, I forgot that we could still goof around and just have a good time. I've been far too busy obsessing about Lilith being gone. The mages losing their jobs because there are fewer dungeons, even Jora giving up his position somehow weighed on me. But actually, none of this has anything to do with me, and above all, there's absolutely nothing I can do to change these things.

"I'll take the drinks over. Why don't you pick out your outfit?"

"Good idea," I say, but that's a lie.

When we talked earlier about getting stuff for the sleepover, including our pajamas, Miko and I both declined because we still had stuff upstairs in her room. While she is actually well-equipped and can choose from a wide selection of cute outfits, it's an entirely different story for me. I can choose between precisely two outfits. After I close the door to the kitchen, I take the clothes out of a bag in which I have hidden them - after all, we don't want to spoil anything for the ones who have already had their turn.

Fuck it, who cares, I'll just take that. After all, this is about entertainment. I strip down to my underwear, fold my clothes from the day, and put on the pajamas of my choice. I open the door a little and let the others know.

"I'm ready," another lie. Although I should have worked up enough courage during the evening, I almost get an anxiety attack when I think of the four of them sitting on the floor, their eyes glued to me. My body sends me signals like it used to in school when I had to give a presentation in front of the whole class. But the longer I wait, the harder it gets, so I set off. It doesn't take ten seconds before I'm walking in front of the others, showing off my duck-patterned pajamas.

I don't even dare to look at the faces of the others and just wait for their judgment. It's a good sign that nobody is laughing, I guess. But then again, nobody speaks.

"Okay, I'll start," it's Eliza who takes the floor. I'm aware that she's more into other outfits, so my expectations are rather low. "Nine points."

A murmur goes through the audience.

"Let me explain. Imagine it's Christmas. You're looking forward to presents, wondering what it might be. You can guess some because of their shape. But that one present, a boring, featureless box wrapped in duck-pattern gift paper, stands on the table, and your imagination starts to run wild. Anything could be inside this box, and this excitement, this anticipation is embodied by Kayla's pajamas... Thank you for your attention."

I feel touched and offended at the same time.

"Three points," Kajsa says with a certain amount of disappointment in her voice. I bow apologetically in her direction.

Miko sighs loudly. "Ten points," she leaves it at this short statement, and no one dares to comment. She is my girlfriend, so she has my back.

That only leaves Luna, I risk raising my eyes and looking at her. At the same time, the other girls stare in her direction as well, as if she is the expert whose opinion everyone is eagerly awaiting.

"What are you looking at me like that for?"

"It's your turn to say something, dummy." Kajsa laughs and flicks at Luna's upper arm.

"Ouch. Sorry, I was distracted. The ducks are cute. I think you're too young and too old at the same time to wear something like that, but I liked Eliza's theory, so seven points from me. And why do we have to give ratings? Doesn't that take the fun out of it?"

"You're just afraid of what we'll think of your outfit," is Kajsa's next strike. She's really in the mood today. But Luna just shakes her head dramatically and giggles a little unsettlingly.

"I just wanted to prevent you from getting inferiority issues if you have to rate me."

"I have them even without judging you." I admit, only for Eliza and then Miko to raise their hands and say, "Me too."

"Now I feel like an ass, sorry guys."

"You are an ass." and with that, Kajsa has collected her third strike.

Without warning, Luna jumps to the side and grabs Kajsa's tail, who screams loudly and tries to dodge forward. Her nightdress is definitely not made for a wild frolic, but miraculously, it still holds everything in place.

"They're going to fall out," Eliza says in a serious tone while Miko gets up and walks over to me. Luna and Kajsa wrestle for about twenty seconds before she can finally free her tail from her clutches. Luna is breathing heavily as if she has just finished a marathon, and Kajsa's face is flushed. The way they fought this battle looked quite professional, as if it was by no means their first time.

"I'm going to change," Miko says quietly and walks into the kitchen. I sit down in my old place on the floor and wrap myself in a blanket. After what feels like a minute, Miko strolls back into the living room without a warning.

I quickly realized why she was so fast. She is only wearing an oversized shirt that looks like an almost too-short, wide dress. She doesn't seem to be wearing anything on her legs, and I definitely enjoy checking out her bare thighs and feet. The thought that I don't really want others to see what is usually reserved for my eyes briefly crosses my mind.

Unlike the others, however, Miko doesn't walk up to us but stands at the back and pulls her shirt down, looking a little insecure. It's all an act, I'm sure of it. She's trying to convince us that she's not wearing shorts underneath. I don't know where she learned this method... although, now that I think about it, she regularly teases me with moves like this. I just never really realized it.

"Come closer, I can't see anything," Kajsa says with a large smirk. Eliza waves it off. "Just stay there, nine points from me."

I raise my hands and stretch out all my fingers to give her my rating. Luna begins to groan and squints her eyes as she checks out Miko with the utmost intensity. I can't take my eyes off Luna, who has a look on her face that is far from good and evil. What is going on in that head?

"Seven points from me. I mostly wear T-shirts like that too," Kajsa interjects and proudly crosses her arms in front of her chest, causing it to be pushed upwards.

"It's happening," Eliza shouts ecstatically. What kind of fever dream did I land in? This is pure fanservice, and everyone knows it. The mood is definitely better, but this other kind of tension is not necessarily sitting well with me.

"Yes, I have to give the legs a ten. I've always suspected it, but the intense training of the last few months has left its mark. Miko's thighs probably feel amazing." Hey Luna, chill. It's about the sleepwear and not about her thighs. I'm mentally preparing myself to attack, but then Luna gets up and marches past Miko into the kitchen.

"See you in a bit."

Miko grins broadly and pulls up her shirt revealing a pair of black hotpants. As expected, she played with our expectations. I look down at myself and notice that I'm still wearing pajamas with a duck print. No reason for sadness. Who cares how attractive sleepwear looks? It's about how comfortable and cozy they are, and I've probably won that category.

While I am still bathing in self-doubt, I hear a scream. I jump up and rush into the kitchen, where Luna is changing. Dressed only in underwear, with a silk dress balled up in her hands, which she holds in front of her chest, Luna is crouching on the floor.

"Somebody was moving around in the garden." She explains and takes a deep breath. I quickly make my way back to the living room, where the door to the terrace is, only to find it standing wide open. Kajsa and Eliza have disappeared, and just as I start to worry, I hear a giggle from the garden and Miko chuckling behind me.

Luna stomps into the living room in her nightgown and looks at me angrily, "What's going on here?"

I shrug my shoulders, "I have no idea."

A short time later, Eliza and Kajsa come back into the living room from outside, both with a broad grin plastered across their faces. They sit down in their old places and look at us questioningly.

"Has something happened?" Kajsa asks.

"It's unbelievable what Kayla doesn't notice when she's lost in thought," Eliza says and winks at me.

Miko pats me on the shoulder with a smile and sits down on the floor again. I follow her silently, and once I'm down on my butt, I look up at Luna, whose face swings between anger and amusement.

"The night is still young. Just wait. Vengeance will be mine."
