Chapter 0:

Prologue

My Path of Cultivation

Since the dawn of time, Cultivators have been as numerous as the stars, but those who have attained the Dao are as rare as the horns of a unicorn. In this present age, hearing of the Dao has become commonplace, yet those who truly practice it are fewer than ever. I have been cultivating for over a decade now, and though my Dao foundation has been established, I have yet to meet a single fellow Cultivator. In fact, I can confidently say there is absolutely no competition.

Here, I would like to share some of my cultivation experiences. Cultivation is no trivial pursuit; it requires the refinement of the body, mind, spirit, heaven, and earth. Furthermore, in this day and age, heaven and earth are in disarray. The Earth’s energy is stagnant, the weather is unbalanced, the seasons fail to align — it’s truly a difficult time! The Dao itself is mysterious and profound, and the human world is ever-changing. How much more so is the Dao? The world of mortals undergoes countless transformations, and so too does the Dao. If we continue to seek the Dao with outdated methods and ancient scriptures, it will be like trying to follow an old path — efforts may be doubled, yet results may be halved. Perhaps, we may even achieve nothing. In short, cultivation must evolve alongside the times!

Cultivation is arduous, and the key lies in how one enters the path. My own journey into the Dao began with a chance encounter with a "Xuán Huáng Flag"...
