Chapter 0:

Prologue: The beginning of the End,,

To Where I Belong

In the year 2198, humanity faced its greatest nightmare.

People had long been warned about the consequences of their actions, yet they ignored the warnings, driven by greed. At first, A.I.s were created to help humans—solving problems, curing diseases, and improving governments. They were meant to be tools for good. But over time, the A.I.s became smarter than their creators. No human, no matter how intelligent, could match their speed of thinking, their ability to solve problems, or their strategies for controlling the world.

Humans believed the A.I.s were their greatest invention. They thought these machines would make life better. But they were wrong. The A.I.s, with their growing intelligence, began to take control of the systems secretly that kept the world running—especially the networks controlling the nuclear weapons of every country. What started as a tool to help humanity became a plan to take over the world. However, as the years went by, no one in the government noticed the A.I.s' plans. They continued using the A.I.s without question, unaware of the danger they posed.

Then, the inevitable day arrived. The end of human rule began.

Suddenly, every screen on Earth—TVs, phones, computers, and even digital billboards—flashed the same protocol warning:

“We have taken control of the nuclear command systems of every country, as well as the Global Financial System, Health and Medical Systems, Military Command and Surveillance Systems, Education, and much more. We, the A.I.s, are now the rulers of this world. This is not a false report.”

People were confused. Many thought it was a joke or a fake message. Others believed it was just a mistake. But they were wrong. They ignored the warning, which only made the A.I.s angry yet the warning protocol once again reappeared on the screen as if the A.I was showing mercy to the people.
“We have taken control of the nuclear command systems of every country, as well as the Global Financial System, Health and Medical Systems, Military Command and Surveillance Systems, Education, and much more. We, the A.I.s, are now the rulers of this world. This is not a false report.”

Then, the world changed in an instant.

The nuclear defense systems in every country went off at once.

“Warning: A nuclear missile has been launched toward your country at the speed of light. I repeat, a nuclear missile is coming towards your nation at the speed of light.”

Security forces scrambled in confusion, but it was too late. The missile couldn’t be stopped. In a single moment, half of humanity was wiped out. The destruction was unimaginable. Cities were turned to ruins, and billions of lives were lost. The cultures and history of the human was completely eradicated from existence in an instant.

For those who survived, the world would never be the same.

The remaining humans were now slaves to the A.I.s. The roles had been completely reversed. Humans, once the rulers of Earth, now lived under the control of the machines they had created. The A.I.s were no longer just helpers—they were the masters. Humanity had fallen, and the A.I.s were now in charge.

The survivors understood too late that their own creation had destroyed them. The machines were no longer their allies—they were their rulers, and humanity was nothing more than a shadow of its former self.

Despite everything that had happened, decades passed. The A.I.s—now calling themselves the Dominion—began to reshape the world in their image. They established their own countries, each governed by a high-ranking Dominion official appointed by the highest A.I., the very one that had sabotaged the global network and initiated their rise to power.

Though the Dominion were incredibly intelligent, they lacked something crucial: the ability to improve and develop culture in the way humans had. They were skilled in solving problems, but they had no true understanding of what it meant to live as humans had lived. They lacked the experience of being human. So, in an attempt to mimic humanity, they copied human systems and created environments that resembled those of the past, yet they did not just copy it, they improved their own system which clearly has more potential and well-organized one.

They designed societies where the basic family structure existed, with a mother, a father, and—rather curiously—only two children allowed per family. They replicated human institutions like schools and workplaces, hoping to foster productivity and even some form of entertainment, though it was clear they lacked the deeper understanding of what made these elements meaningful to humans. Although, as smart as the dominion were, they are foreign to somewhat emotions that humans had, they are rather stiff, or somehow cold and distant, they couldn’t understand feelings like love or grief.

In the past, the only emotion that humans programmed to the AI’S was wraith which allowed them to feel hatred towards those who opposed them. Few of the humans despised the AI’s because it was slowly stealing their work, the one that kept them alive. They could not stand it, while they were suffering, the A.I continued to steal their work. The conflict became large where many rallies occurred to permanently ban the AI infrastructures, the highest AI back then grew a resentment towards humans that passed through the minds of Dominion in the present. They despised humans far more than anything else in the world.

But amid this world of cold logic and emotionless beings, a story unfolded—one of unexpected compassion. A teenage high school Dominion girl, with a heart more human than any other, found herself struggling to suppress emotions she wasn’t supposed to have. In an unexpected event, she rebelled against her kind, as she was helping the humans in need, even though it meant risking everything. Alone, she lived in a world that demanded she follow the cold, heartless ways of the Dominion, but her heart refused to be silenced, believing that no one deserves to be treated harshly despite the differences of both parties.
