Chapter 21:

Burst out emotions~

What color is the azure sky?

“What is happening?” Gigi said while looking at the ranking board as teams were disqualifying at a high rate all of a sudden, causing confusion among the spectators. Soon, a “tee-tee” sound came from Vel’s mat, joined by Momo, Sately, and Dylan. Vel seemed really startled by it and quickly disappeared from the spot, appearing in front of the ranking table. She checked other teams of her crew with trembling lips, staring at it, and slowly looked up to the broadcasting screen, catching a quick glimpse of a shadow massacring people before the screen blackened.

The proctor of Phase 1, Qwert, came to calm down the crowd, repeating the same line as Mr. Blue about the event still going on and urging those still on the ranking board to continue. As Qwert continued, Vel asked with a deathly tone, “Who was that in Phase 2?” She just asked with death lust, causing those close to her to break into cold sweats. Qwert noticed her blood lust but continued his speech. “I asked, who is he?” she shouted again.                                                    Qwert looked at her and replied with sweat, “They are members of team 4677 and three more from teams 45, 455, and 645. We are currently looking for their motive, but it is still unclear.”

“What is this feeling I am getting right now while facing this woman? I instinctively spill all the information,” Qwert thought. As disqualified teams left in frustration, they heard the information and soon a crowd rushed to surround the members of those teams. “You bastard, it is your fault!” one person shouted, running from the crowd toward him, followed by the whole swarm. Thuk thuk sounds of footsteps started coming from the exit. “Looks like they are here,” Qwert thought.

A force of 300 in military dress with golden eye medallions on their shoulders and pressure guns in hand entered from the large gate in formation. A man at the front shouted, “By the decree of the king, from now onwards, no one is allowed to leave this place until he allows it. Any form of insubordination will result in immediate execution.” After announcing, they covered the whole area and entrance to Phase 2. The crowd was under control, or so they thought.

“You, I know it is not your responsibility, but do you know anything about that guy in your team?” Dylan suddenly jumped on a guy from team 45, grabbing his long hair. “I don’t know, I was just looking for a team like everyone else and joined it,” he replied, breaking free by cutting his hair with the sharp end of his great sword. “Oh, sorry,” Dylan replied and backed down.

While all this was happening, Vel slowly walked toward the gate to Phase 2 slowly but strongly, like a large mountain moving that no one could stop. “All of you, don’t think of following me. Try it, and I will break every bone in your body,” Vel said to all the assaulters of the Gya crew who were following her. “I am going to see it myself, alone,” she finished as she reached the gates and stared into the eyes of the person standing in front of 100 others. “Back off,” the officer shouted.

She just stared at him and said, “Move.” “She is really mad, going against the royal military. They represent the king himself,” someone from the crowd said with his mouth open. The officer took out his pistol, which used some form of pressure to release a small spiky pin at very high velocity toward the target, with some smoke to block its vision. “For not following orders and causing insubordination, I hereby announce you to be executed,” he shouted, and all 101 officers fired at her. The next instant, Vel was covered in smoke. As the officers were putting their guns back into their holsters and looked away, a shadow formed over them. “Move, I won’t repeat it again,” it was as large as a mountain and covered in shadow. “What are you?” he replied and tried to fire again, but before he realized, he was knocked to the ground with the ceiling in view. “What happened?” he wondered for a few seconds and got his senses back. He got on his knees somehow while coughing. “Looks like my shoulders are broken,” he thought and looked around.

The proud and invincible military force was all defeated and lying all over. His pride was shattered into pieces while facing a mountain. “How, how, how, how, how?” “How is this possible? We are the chosen ones. How can we be defeated by a mere commoner?” he shouted in his mind while his eyes trembled. He asked Vel, “We represent the king himself. How could you dare to go against our god, you devil?” he shouted at Vel with all his might. She just looked at him, turned around, and proceeded to the gate.

“That woman, she dodged and blocked all 101 bullets targeted at her vitals. If someone were to tell me, I would have never believed it. It was my instinct to live, the feeling I was getting from this woman. It was fear,” Qwert thought to himself, stunned as he saw all this happening in front of his eyes.

Vel tried to punch the door, but it distributed the vibration, only leaving a dent. She tried a few more times without increasing power, as the joint started to vibrate with the risk of collapsing the dome. She stood back, took off her coat, started unwrapping the bandages around her stomach, and took out a large head resembling a pickaxe made of a different and unrefined material from the weird holder on her back. She picked one of the poles lying on the ground that was thicker than the hole in the head of the pickaxe. She grabbed the pole between her legs, raised her hands while holding the head, and stuck it into the pole in one go. “That is the first time I am seeing her use that since I joined the crew six years ago,” Balloon said to himself.

“I think you should give up on this nonsense and leave. That door is more than 50 cm thick and made from special material that can last for 1,000 years against 10,000 psi of water jet,” Qwert tried to persuade Vel, but she ignored him and swung the large pickaxe that resembled the scythe of the soul reaper himself. In the next few moves, she swung the large scythe, which was not even visible to a few, attacking the gate and stopped. The gate was cut clean in an octagon that could fit three people. She again took out the pole, wrapped the blade around her body, entered the hole, and disappeared.

[^15] the eye medallion on the inner military's dress is wear by royal military. the eye itself represents the eyes of the king himself.
