Chapter 13:

ONLINE GAMERS {ARC 1 CHAOS IN ASTRAL CITY} CHAPTER 12

ONLINE GAMERS!

In a dark dimly lit room somewhere in district seven, basically Kagashi’s domain.

The ninth ranked level nine Tsurugi Kagashi had six loyal advisors, handpicked by Kobayashi Akari. The strongest of them was a level seven by the name Blast. He was an archer with a heavy magic build.

Blast was powerful. He was the only level seven in Astral city. He was the strongest of Kagashi’s advisors and everyone knew it. Tell him that, however, and he would probably glare at you—because he wasn’t strong enough to be useful against a level nine.

The armor, bow and arrows he wielded were all top class <<items>> given to him by Beretta the group item specialist. He had dyed the unique items and armor he had been given red, making his avatar look like some kind of red flaming warrior, the outfit honestly made him look scary. To most people he seemed unapproachable—but he was actually a very friendly and loyal guy.

“Time for questions. Tell us everything you were able to find out about the level nine Tsurugi Hime, White.”

The girl in question White ignored Blast.

“Hey White this is serious,” said one of the other members gathered there, Irelan, a level six spear master as he raised his hand at White.

“:3” <<emotion effect>> White simply made her avatar a chibi in reply to Irelan’s provocation.

White was annoying like that. She was so annoying and carefree that hardly anyone could get her to do what they wanted. That being said there was one person that she had some level of respect for, well two people if you counted Beretta.

“White-chan, how do I go about killing her?” Kagashi asked.

—When it came to murdering players, she was probably the best at it.

However, even for he, the master of killing players, the player in question was someone borderline unkillable.

White was struck by an urge to T pose.

Her soft features had an elegant quality to them, she was pure, demure and innocent in appearance alone. So, for her to be T posing it was a bizarre look to say the least. She was a level six, and arguably one of the most dangerous players in the game and here she was T posing.

A whole range of expressions formed on the faces of Kagashi’s six advisors as White maintained her T pose in the face of their boss and friend Tsurugi Kagashi.

“Did you hear me?” He asked.

“Hey White...”

The T posing White replied, “You can’t.”

Her thin feminine body was propped up vertically in a T pose as she gave a resolute answer.

The weakest level nine’s face darkened for a moment, it looked as though he might lose his temper and cut her down.

But he quickly calmed himself down. She was a good friend and a trusted ally.

If she said Hime was unkillable then he would believe her. Despite her playful expression, White wouldn’t lie to him so if she said Hime was unkillable then it was probably true.

But it wouldn’t stop him, if it meant fighting a battle too the death he couldn’t win, he would do it.

Suddenly in one swift motion, she reached out with her right hand and gave the level nine boy a pat on the head.

“You can’t kil her. Not unless you’re willing do your best~! Aha ha did I have ya worried there Kagashi-chan?”

The one who reacted to White’s stupid grinning face was none other than Beretta.

“Oucchh!” White couldn’t react as the fist of another one of Kagashi’s allies crashed into her head.

“White you idiot! If you know a way to beat her, just say so already, we don’t have time for your games!” Beretta yelled.

“Jeez B-chan—fine.”

White whined at having been hit in the head, but reluctantly explained her findings on the level nine samurai Tsurugi Hime.

“Tsurugi Hime cannot be physically harmed by any attack in this world. That much I have confirmed to be impossible. She has the ability to evade every form of natural attack. But she isn’t perfect”

Irelan the spear master level six gave White’s words some thought. “So, attacks that use magic—”

“—Attacks that bypass the natural laws, in other words attacks with magic, will hit?” Blast the level seven archer concluded.

“VERY CORRECT!~” White cheered breaking her T pose. “You guys aren’t complete idiots—tehee!”

Look who’s talking! Beretta nearly yelled.

Blast and Irelan both sighed in exhaustion, White was their friend so they were used to her playfulness by now.

The smile on her face suddenly faded. “But it won’t be easy Kagashi-chan has the advantage in a long rage fight with magic, but up close Hime-chan would most certainly kill him.”

Everyone in the room fell silent. She turned to face Kagashi a serious expression plastered on her usually playful face.

“If you want to stand even a fraction of a chance against the monster Tsurugi Hime you’ll need to train like crazy. What do you say, you down Kagashi?”

“It goes without saying I WILL KILL HIME and prove that I DESERVE TO LIVE in this world as the STRONGEST.”

Hime gave a lazy yawn and stretched in bed, clad in nothing but black underwear and a black bra.

It had been a long while since he had last been in a city, Takashi often found the hustle and bustle of city life to be overwhelming.

Even though he had spent almost half his entire life living there he still found it suffocating.

Those buildings and cars.

The smell of smoke.

The people.

Stressful.

It was all so clustered; he couldn’t relax in a place like that.

“…haaaah.” Hime let out a long sigh.

She was relaxing in the bed of her new house.

The place he was living in now was a lot more peaceful.

“I’m better off alone after all.” Hime mumbled to herself.

Until recently Hime had been staying at the home of one of her NPC friends, Miyu Kobayakawa.

But after the attack by the woman in white it was too dangerous to keep living there if anything happened to Miyu and her family Takashi would never forgive himself. So, without explaining why, he left their house and bought his own.

Buying a house in NWO wasn’t that difficult you simply use the money stored in your inventory as payment. Once bought a property would be yours. Miyu helped with the process a lot, he probably needed to thank her later.

Speaking of money, Hime actually had a lot of units, Takashi just never checked her storage.

The game world was surprisingly more relaxing than the real world.

Getting trapped here was something that probably made a lot of people feel anxious and afraid but for Takashi it was the opposite, it was utterly peaceful, it wasn’t as if they were a powerful level nine out to get him, was there? The only problem was his avatar Tsurugi Hime.

Playing as a different person brought with it a lot of problems.

Where did Takashi start and Hime end? Who was he? What was he like? He was starting to feel like the longer he stayed here the more he would lose sense of his true self.

The thought of losing himself was scary, he needed to forget.

He had to forget.

Forget.

Forget.

He had a strange thought for a second. To take his mind off it he decided to think about something else like his new house.

This place is pretty big I should clean up…

Hime got up out of bed. Stretching her voluptuous figure she yawned.

“I’m so tired, I wanna sleep in today…”

His new house wasn’t as lively as when he lived with Miyu and her family, in fact the place was completely silent.

But at least he no longer had to cook and clean for Miyu, eat with her family, do her homework and take care of her little brother. He was alone now.

Flipping open the windows he was greeted by the sight of the wide-open expanse of nature.

Rather than making him feel lonely, the quietness gave him peace.

The closest neighboring house was far very far from his.

Takashi looked down at his naked form.

At some point Hime started wearing bras.

He never got used to waking up and seeing this body that obviously wasn’t his, she was wearing a bra and some lingerie. He touched the outside of his chest; it was firm yet soft. When he pushed against them, the soft mounds pushed back after pressing and releasing it for a while he had enough.

Boob fondling.

This had become a morning ritual for Takashi.

Getting dressed was simply a matter of opening the system window and equipping whatever outfit you wanted for the day.

He usually stuck to dressing Hime up in her trademark pair of thigh-high stockings, short black split skirt and kimono.

Deep down, he didn’t want to be dressed this way, he absolutely did not want this. However, all of Hime’s clothes were cutesy—his masculinity—was being tested.

He quickly got dressed and got to cleaning his new house.

“Huh?” Hime’s eyes grew wide, and she cocked her head to one side. She stared at the creature making its presence known in her kitchen and then said tentatively, “h-huh, is that a spider?”

“Wh-what?!” her face turned pale, and she dashed out of the kitchen at light speed.

Hime was terrified of creepy looking insects.

Takashi searched for something to use to kill the spider but quickly changed his mind, he didn’t want it dead just out of his house.

KNOCK KNOCK came the sound of the door. It seemed at some point he had called Sayuri to his place for help. Of his three friends she was the most reliable and level headed, if anyone could help it was her.

“Leave it to me Tsurugi-san! I’ll get rid of this spider no sweat!”

Sayuri took one look at the hairy spider and fainted.

“Ha-ha-ha!” Sayuri giggled faintly. “I can deal with small spiders but big ones scare me too…”

Hime had to carry Sayuri out of the kitchen.

“Y-yeah… S-sorry… I asked you, to deal with it for me.”

“Wh-what no I don’t mind! Plus, I ended up in Tsurugi-san’s arms so I see this as a win!” Sayuri said.

Takashi didn’t really get it but he gave Sayuri a faint smile.

They laughed together for a moment. But then silence quickly fell once more, the spider was still there.

Hime and Sayuri ended up getting Miyu involved.

“Hime-chan…” A monotonous voce said clearly exasperated. “I Can’t believe you brought me all the way here because of a spider.”

Miyu sighed staring at the terrified Hime and Sayuri.

“Let’s get this over with. So where is it?”

“Don’t make fun of my precious Tsurugi-san! The thing was a monster!”

Miyu couldn’t believe just how ridiculous Sayuri was being, “Yeah, yeah it’s just a little spider so where is it?”

“Thanks again for coming. The spider is in the kitchen.” Hime said with a bow.

Miyu took one cold hard glance at the creature and spoke with absolute confidence. “Nope, no way I’m getting near that.”

“What the hell happened to the ‘it’s just a little spider’ huh!” Sayuri yelled.

“Well Hime-chan said we can’t kill it.” She walked toward Hime and hid behind her. When she was a safe distance away from the kitchen, Miyu raised a finger at Sayuri. “And now that I think about it, I’m only good at killing spiders.”

“Huh! Shut up you’re even more scared than Tsurugi-san and I!” Sayuri said, taking a step back and hiding behind Hime.

◆◆◆

“Ahahaha! That was super easy!” Mimiko laughed as she tossed the spider out the window.

Somewhere along the line they had dragged Mimiko here.

“So, what do we do now?” Mimiko asked.

Miyu went straight to Hime’s bed to lie down “Since we’re already here we might as well hang out at Hime’s place. Wake me up later guys”

She yawned and fell asleep.

“Let’s play the king game winner gets to order the losers around!” Mimiko said.

Sayuri began to ramble in a near panic.

“Hey, hey hey… If I win! If I WIN! I get to order my precious Tsurugi-san around!”

“You can also order me around~”

“Nobody cares about you Mimiko!” Sayuri spat.

A dagger pierced straight through Mimiko’s heart <<Emotion effect>>.

“Tsk tsk tsk!! I’ll make you regret choosing Hime-chin over me SAYURI!”

“Game on! I won’t let you have Tsurugi-san!”

“Eh.” Takashi just forced a smile unsure of how to react to their shenanigans.

ROUND 1 winner: Mimiko

ROUND 2 winner: Mimiko

Round 3 winner: Mimiko

“Ho ho ho! I win! Bow down to your king!!!”

By the time Miyu roused from her sleep it was already 3pm. Nothing could have prepared her for what she saw.

She woke up to find Hime and Sayuri giving Mimiko a foot massage.

Miyu locked eyes with all three girls. Hime had her trademark deadpan look, Sayuri was in tears and Mimiko was wearing a smug grin.

“Wh-what?”

They continued playing games together till dark.

“It’s getting late we better get going.” Miyu yawned after taking one look outside.

“Bye bye Tsurugi-san.”

“See you later Hime-chan.”

After saying goodbye to their friends Hime and Mimiko went back inside.

“What’s for supper?”

“I don’t know haven’t thought about it…”

“How about beef or fish!”

“Huh? No way.” Hime replied.

The two of them sat down in the kitchen

Hm?

Suddenly it hit Takashi. “You go home too!” Hime shouted.

After sending Mimiko away Hime went back inside and finally got some rest.
