Chapter 3:

Trouble Maker

Ukimoes

Beyond the walls of the human world, where reality fades into digital dreams....

There lies a world filled with musical robots, a digital landscape where melodies and machinery come together. Due to the large size of the world, this world is divided into several sections, many are music based communities, but even with different types of music, some places do not have a prominent amount of Uki-bots dedicated to a single music type. Some bots dedicated to learning a certain type of music tend to reside in those specific districts. As a result, many Uki-bots travel between the different areas, the main city is where a large portion of bots hang out at. Zooming around the city, Uki-bots use their custom hoverboard to soar through the sky, some even hangout in the skateparks, or race tracks. In their world, the days are short and the nights are long, dark to the point you're able to see the moon and sun. The sky is a mix of dark/vibrant hues that change daily and it is possible to see shooting circuits every now and then. Even if it's night most bots prefer to stay active and enjoy the night life in the city. In the center of the city lies the grand Idol tower, it houses the best records in existence along with past and current idol works.

“Hey you there! YEAH I’M TALKING TO YOU!” Muo yells out, staring at the reader with intense eyes.

“YOUR MUSIC TASTE SUCKS!” She blurts out before zooming away on her cyberpunk motorcycle, its screws serving as tires, a dark green tint with black detailing down the side.Vein slowly drives past, awkwardly unsure who Muo was talking to. He rubs the back of his head.

“Uh..rah?” Vein says quietly before following behind Muo’s trail.

The city is ravaged behind them becoming a blur behind them as they drive recklessly to their destination deep in an old part of the city many avoid due to the heavy presence of patrol bots maintaining order in the newer districts. Muo comes diving down to the ground, her ears flapping in the wind as drool goes flying out of her mouth scattering like metallic rain.

“I’M HERE U LOSER HEARD U HAD BEEF?” Muo continues to yell before her vehicle vanishes from the sky as she jolts downwards to a familiar face.

Stripes maintained his position with his arms crossed over his chest. His long bangs covered his eyes yet didn’t impair his vision at all. He stood there confidently, the piercings on his dog ears glistened in the area despite the lack of city lights. He spits on the ground beside him leaving a glob of oil. Muo lands directly in front of him, still keeping a safe. “Aint got shit to say now, huh?” Muo glares at him, irritated by his silence.

“No, I’m just surprised you showed your face here, considering you probably haven’t gained many skills since the last time we fought. You know I will always be the top dog. At least a better dog than you will ever be,” Stripes says calmly, though beneath his collected exterior he is hiding his nervousness. With grace he leans down, getting on all fours positioning himself to attack. The pose supposedly speaks of years in combat programming.

“HA! What a dumbass stance you have for a fight,” she mockingly observes him and proceeds to get in the same pose with a grin on her face showing off her metallic teeth.

Vein maintains a safe distance from the confrontation, confused as to how her stance was any different. Muo rotates her head quickly to flash Vein a quick wink before repositioning herself back. Without warning, Stripes launches a Muo with the ferocity of a feral wolf desperate for meat.

She remains still, her optical sensors locked onto Stripes’ movements. His claws protract his robot claws that had an uncanny resembling a feline type weapon. Just as his claws nearly gaze at Muo's face, she performs her signature move, opening her mouth impossibly wide, as if her jaw could detach. Her sharp teeth resembled deadly blades, with rows of teeth like a shark.

Beyond the teeth was a laser emission system that generates a pink beam, capable of causing serious damage to bots who have standard grade parts. The beauty of the beam almost becomes hypnotic, its sparkling effects immediately drawing in others. A distinct sound fills the air indicating that the weapon is charged to full capacity. Without hesitation, she releases the blast, the impact knocking stripe out completely–inoperative. His body drops to the floor, his robotic eyes dimming to a lifeless black as his system slowly shuts down.

“Ah well, that was easy,” she says, pleased with herself, already turning away from her fallen opponent. Vein jumps up and down enthusiastically, cheering with pretty pink pom poms, somehow wearing the shirt he made to show his love for Muo. It was a plain white graphic tee with the words “I LUV MUO” in the center of the “O” resembling an eyeball.

“GO MUO GO YAYYYYY!” he cheers, beginning to do a victory dance that he spent countless hours perfecting.

Muo face palms herself slightly blushing, yet mainly unamused by Vein.

Vein affectionately rubs up on the side of Muo smiling with his eyes closed, his tail wags still moving the pom poms up and down.

”We should go celebrate somewhere!” Vein exclaims

”Yeah sure I guess you’re right we should celebrate disposing of trash,” Muo replies snickering to herself

The atmosphere shifts suddenly as one of Stripe's damaged optical lights begins to flicker, its eerie red glow indicating his power source was on an uprise of recovery. Beneath the synthetic fur sparks started to renew, sending a small arc of electricity through his body.

"Hehehe..." The unsettling sound escapes through his badly damaged voice”.He extends his heavily weaponized paw, as reinforced panels slide apart from his paw pads revealing rows of launch tubes beneath. Mini-rockets burst their targeting systems and combine mid-flight as they turn into a single powerful projectile heading straight towards the backs of Vein and Muo.
