Lasson enjoyed watching how Nyco’s expression changed from calm to panic after hearing his words and watching the syringe. The bully then jumped at Nyco and tried sticking the syringe in his neck.

Nyco fell to the floor but was able to stop Lasson’s hand before he injected whatever he had in that syringe. Lasson was now on top of him, pressing Nyco to the floor with one hand and trying to inject the syringe in his neck with the other. Unlike when they were teenagers, Lasson was overpowering him, the injection was getting closer and closer to his neck. Nyco could not understand how this happened, he should be stronger than him. That’s when Nyco saw that his attacker was using an exoskeleton suit to give him more strength. He knew right then and there that he could not win the fight.

Nyco grabbed Lasson’s waist with his legs and rolled on the floor to free himself from that position. He pushed him over and ran to get his Star-Sky suit.

But his escape was doomed from the start. The General in charge of that fake mission in Nane Sarma, Lasson’s mother, was right there in front of him. Nyco stopped running as he recognized her face.

-Hello Nyco-, said the General with a smile.

-A… Amanda?-, asked Nyco, surprised to see the doctor that had cured his back.

The woman that had deceived Nyco in order to make him go to that planet, punched his face and made him fall back.. Lasson took the opportunity his mother gave him and injected the syringe in Nyco’s neck.

In less than 5 seconds, Nyco fell unconscious.

When he woke up, he was in an endless white room.

-Hello Nyco-, said Lasson 's voice. Nyco looked around but could not find him. He then realised that he was inside an Experience. They had put a virtual reality helmet on and he was now in a virtual world. -Welcome to your personal hell. Here you will understand what real pain is. You will suffer what you did to me multiplied by a billion. You will beg me to stop, but I won’t. This is what awaits you until the end of your days.

Nyco then felt pain in every cell of his body as if he was being burnt alive. They had obviously bought some sort of black market torture device as it didn’t have the pain limiters all legal virtual reality experiences had. Nyco felt pain like he never did before.

What scared him the most is that in an experience he would suffer for 24 hours for every hour in the real world. He could not even scream from the pain, all he did was fall to the floor and suffer.

After two hours in the real world, the pain suddenly stopped. Nyco was in pieces, he could hardly breathe, let alone get up. And then, all his pain suddenly disappeared. They wanted him in his full senses for what he was about to see.

A big screen appeared in front of him. There, he could see Alan on his knees with his hands cuffed behind his back. They were showing him live footage of what was happening outside. Lasson then came into the scene and put a knife to Alan’s neck.

-Look at this pathetic soul, Nyco. Do you want to know why he took you under his wing? It turns out this loser was in love with a Planet-Gazer. When this woman died, he could not take it. He then found out that there was this little boy on Earth with some of his lover's genes. He took you as a son. Hahahaha, how pathetic right? You are just a monster, Nyco, but he saw you as a son because you have some of the genetic information of his past lover. Pathetic.

Lasson then cut Alan’s neck without letting him say anything. Nyco watched his mentor die in front of him. He screamed at Lasson but he couldn’t listen to him. Nobody could.

The pain came back and Nyco fell to the floor.

-You Star-finder friend is next-, Lasson announced.

After 5 hours in the real world, they finally caught Silvy and put her in front of Nyco. She was also handcuffed with her hands behind her back. They stopped Nyco’s pain so he could clearly watch how they killed his friend.

Nyco begged them to stop, He had learned his lesson. But they didn’t. Nyco had to watch how Lasson put a knife to Silvy’s neck.

To their kidnappers surprise, Silvy broke free as she detached her prosthetic right arm. As it had the same color as her skin, Lasson and Amanda did not know that it was fake. Her fake right hand hung from the handcuffs of the left.
She used her now free left hand to punch Lasson in the face.

The Star-finder ran to the Star-Sky suit they took her out of and selected a destination in the Warpy before Amanda could catch her. “I’ll come back for you” she told Nyco as the orange sphere engulfed her and teleported her.

Lasson and Amanda cursed their mistake as Nyco started feeling hopeful he would be able to escape. His bully then got close to the camera and smiled.

-Don’t get your hopes up. My mom has contacts everywhere. We’ll get her eventually. As we will get all your friends and your beautiful ex. Enjoy this preview in the meantime-, Lasson said with an evil smirk.

The agonizing pain came back and made him fall to the floor. Then, he noticed he could not close his eyes. In front of him, an avatar of Emma and Lasson suddenly appeared.

Nyco cried in pain as he had to watch Lasson’s avatar do to Emma’s avatar the most terrible and unspeakable things. The image he now had engraved in his head hurted him more than the physical pain that engulfed his poor virtual body.

Nyco hoped to God they did not find Emma. If they did and he couldn’t protect her from this monster…

That would be a fate worse than hell.
